BraveGuy: 1. . . @Kay17.... it seems the moderator for this thread or Seun Osewa or a super moderator has a personal hatred for me and is using (misusing) his powers to suspend/ban and delete my comments. I have posted the below comments TWICE and it has been deleted each time. Perhaps, the person thinks I'm clueless as to how the script behind this site works or how the Internet works. Well, I am also an Internet Marketing Consultant and Analytics experts, so I have a near perfect understanding of these things. If not, why was I prevented from making comments like everyone else? Gstar says it's conspiracy theory and was saying it's antispambot and giving excuses, it's a lie!1. I sympathise with you deeply in respect to the mistreatment received. 2. I was talking about Creation Myths which are inventive plots developed by all cultures and civilizations across the world NOT grammatical structures nor modernisation on languages. What you addressed was over what I said. 3. Good list. However you earlier claimed that God wrote the Bible, now you saying there were 40 auuthors! That is apparently inconsistent. It is either God wrote it singly OR amongst the 40 authors. Now if 40 human authors wrote the Bible, how was any of them able to witness the beginning of the Universe? |
It is found to be strange that we can't go back in time. |
tdcministry: You need to have a relationship with God; when the Holy spirit dwells in you; you will understand my explanationsThat will arise from the assumption that the Bible is true. The idea of the holy spirit in any sense is an assumption that there are indeed holy spirits! Also you seem to believe that holiness is the only criteria for right living. But you must define holiness without hinging it on the Bible |
tdcministry: Holiness is the best way of LifeIt is a pretentious way to live. |
BraveGuy: Hey Kay17.You don't seem to read much outside the Bible. The purpose of a creation myth is to create a starting point by which human life is defined. The history and traditions are the foundations of every culture and civilisation, if there weren't any, a history would be invented. So if I want to talk about the Chinese and their tradtions OR the Mayans and their traditions, their creation myths place them at the centre of attention. So also the Jews. If you manage to step out of their myths and use a panoramic view to see all the creation myths together, you would get a better picture. |
@braveguy Enjoyable honesty, it is appreciated. However you originally claimed God created the Universe, which you did not witness. It was quite an impossible claim. It was more like a joke. One can count over a hundred creation myths that revolve around cultures. Every culture has a creation myth including the Jews whose myth is contained in the Bible. |
tdcministry: The devil doesn't teach holiness; get that into youThere is still the possibility. |
@Braveguy Now that the slate is clean. And the fallacy of God and the spiritual have been wiped off. The question of our existence ponders us. But the answers are more of speculative. |
tdcministry: If the bible is false( which I know is not) what will be my loses for obeying the words there? You wld be following the devil. following the wrong way of life. |
I defined those earlier in this thread. |
Good. |
cococandy: Your free will and the will of God aren't mutually exclusive. You are obviously confusing terms together and losing sight of their meanings. It seems you think all value judgments are as a result of freewill and magic is owed to divine will. Look at the Adam and Eve example, it is either their freewill OR of their divine will. |
BraveGuy: Hey buddy, I was trying to follow your presentations as being intelligent, why not keep it that way?To validate my own theory, I must first clean the slate and eliminate yours. I must show the glaring flaws with yours prior to espousing mine. |
BraveGuy: @ Kay17 or whoever thinks like and wants to help him....But you agree that all what the Bible says is hearsay? |
BraveGuy: I already answered you, make your point. It leaves one wondering how you got to know God created the universe |
BraveGuy:But you did not witness God's creation of the Universe and creation of man, rather the Bible told you so and you strongly believe the Bible, right? |
Don't you think science should be seperated from spirituality? |
@braveguy You don't understand me. I will try another angle. Have you seen God ever creating Universes or a human being? |
@cococandy Your little sermon runs into a lot of problems. First there is the issue between freewill on one hand and God's Plan on the other. Freewill places the individual on the driver's seat and he/she steers her life into whatever direction he/she desires, while God's Plan is the direct opposite. God is in charge and not the individual. So one must make way for the other. The second problem is reconciling God's loving nature with a divine plan for longlasting suffering. There is no enjoyable end or delight in watching others suffer other than cruelty. Since you don't believe God is cruel, he can not therefore endorse longlasting suffering. It is that simple. The third problem is that there is a grand assumption that regardless of what happens (life's apparent meaninglessness) God must exist. I notice that in every Christian opinion in respect to meaningless suffering. |
BraveGuy: Well, I just replied Weah96, I guess that should clarify my point. I guess he (weah96) was trying to get me to explain the fact of fate of the product as against my first reference of just the product itself. No, what I raised is not the same with what Weah96 raised. And your reply does not clarify it. |
@braveguy Glad to interject at this point. You have not made a logical connection between Michelangelo with the Sistine Chapel and God with the universe. The necessary deductive connection has not been made. Except you assert that "ALL intricate complexities are created by intelligent Creators". Then we can see link between Michelangelo and God. |
@tdcministry Let's raise the stakes a bit higher. ASSUMING the Devil is so wise to the extent that he wrote the Bible and uses it as a device to deceive man. And furthermore he deceived you with a false vision. How then do you find your true bearings? |
tdcministry: One can be deceived by the devil, if the Holy spirit is out of ones lifeWhat if the Devil sent a demon that simulates the holy spirit effect and then gave you false visions? Remember the Devil is smart. |
tdcministry: Everyone please visit; www.oluwaseyikelvin.mywapblog.comCome to think about this, the Devil is a cunning and deceptive being AND not as simple minded as humans are, isn't there the possibility that you were deceived by the devil? |
malvisguy212: the question is so important to you , the atheist, I got noting to loose, if there is GOD, I will praise they Lord, if there IS no God, I got noting to lose. You on the other hand, if there IS God, MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOU.So you have contemplated the possibility of no God existing?! And you are supposed to be 110% certain! |
Image123: Absolutely ridiculous nonsense. Peter was with Jesus God. He saw Jesus do it successfully and received a clear go ahead from Jesus God before stepping out. Being with Jesus is a more sure sanctuary than any boat, He is the Author of life, remember.Good. Equally same goes to everyone expecting a miracle EVEN for the most trivial issue, just like Peter did especially when he was not in danger or found any necessity to walk on water; yet he did. The thing today is that modern science and knowledge has washed off most of the faith in the world. And without faith, there is no God. God is dying out. People rely more in hospitals, universities. People prefer the Big Ban.g theory and evolution as against the Genesis account. People believe the Bible is more of an allegory than literal. Faith is dying out. |
It is a secret. |
Rather hypocrisy |
malvisguy212: am not 100% sure there is God, but AM 110% SURE THERE IS GOD.Rather ask yourself whether the question is relevant since you are absolutely sure there is a God. |
I secretly think empathy is overrated. . . Hardly can empathy be accurate, rather it is a reflection of my feelings supposing I was in the shoes of the person who is either experiencing or suffering. It is still my feelings but anticipated feelings. |
malvisguy212: what if there is?what if you are wrong? Between a believer and an atheist, who has the advantage?Which is it? Are you certain God exists or not?! A Pascal wager is always going to be irrelevant. |
texanomaly: Well I don't know. He was a fisherman. I figure he knows how to swim.Lol! Remember he was sinking/drowning when he asked Jesus to rescue him. |
