A Colombian woman recently changed her name to include all 26 letters in alphabetical order. Her first name is Abcdefg Hijklmn while her last name is Opqrst Uvwxyz.

Before the latest change in nomenclature, the 36-year-old was called ‘Ladyzunga Cyborg’, a name she came up with along the line. She is notorious for the act but her latest stunt is believed to be extremely bizarre.

The Colombian in a recent television interview said: “I started looking for a name that nobody had in Colombia, or the world, so I thought about ABCDEFG HIJKLMN OPQRST UVWXYZ.

“I’ve changed my name so people wouldn’t know it’s me. It’s not because I was disturbed by it, but because I always wanted to bring an element of surprise.”

Well, she sure did surprise Colombian National Registry officials with her highly unusual request. While they’ve accepted her previous name changes with raised eyebrows, they seemed to be particularly bothered by this latest one.

According to telegraph.co.uk, the woman actually started the process to change her name to alphabet in 2012 but spent a year fighting against government red tape before receiving an official ID card in 2013.

The 36-year-old works as an arts teacher and fashion designer during the day while going about her strange lifestyle at night.

Turgut Oymen, 73, was left devastated after his lifelong sweetheart, Nese, left him for a young doctor on the eve of their golden wedding anniversary. In anger, the heartbroken pensioner chopped off his penis and threw it in a river.

While Nese, 70, was 550 miles away in Istanbul, Turkey, she called Turgut to say she had fallen in love with a 55-year-old doctor, and had decided to stay in the city.

In despair, the 73-year-old rushed down to the river to commit the act before calling for an ambulance.

The bleeding pensioner, was taken to hospital where doctors operated to patch up the gaping wound after a search of the river bank failed to find the missing organ.

A hospital spokesman said: “He lost a lot of blood and is lucky he didn’t die at his age. He told medics that he had decided to get rid of his manhood because he felt it was useless and he felt like he was no longer a man.”

Mehmet Koc, 70, a friend, said the father-of-six had been devastated by the news, adding: “He was absolutely devoted to Nese and when she said she wasn’t coming back his whole world fell apart.

“He phoned her and begged her to return but she refused, saying she was in love with this doctor. He said he had devoted his life to her and could not even think about meeting someone else.”

Oymen, according to Daily Mail UK, is now recovering and being treated for depression.

A strange development has oc­curred in Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti South-West Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Residents told Daily Sun that on February 7, 2015, in Oke-Ibedo area of the town, some people who had slaughtered a goat for a burial were shocked to find some pieces of raw gold, coins, keys, padlocks and wed­ding ring among others inside the goat after cutting its belly.

The strange happening stirred up confu­sion and controversy as those who claimed they saw it happened, insisted it was true, while cynics wondered how the claim could be true. They were nevertheless enthralled by a daunting evidence of blood stained pieces of raw gold presented by the eyewit­nesses.

According to residents, many of whom spoke on condition of anonymity, the development disrupted the ceremony, as guests for whom the goat was slaughtered went back to their homes in fear and embarrassment. The goat owned by a yet-to-be identified old woman who had given it out to a friend. ­

The woman whom the goat was given, it was gathered, had reared it for several years after which it did not reproduce. She, howev­er, got tired of rearing the goat and sold it to the people who needed it for the ceremony.

A resident of Ilawe, simply identified as Amina Ibeji said: “Yes, it is true that a strange goat had some pieces of raw gold in its belly after it was slaughtered in this town. The incident happened last week. The people who found this out wanted to use the goat as supplementary meat for their ceremony, but they were both embarrassed and shocked to find the glittering objects which they later described as pieces of raw gold inside the animal.”

Another resident, Yomi Adeayo, who works in a beer parlour said: “It is true that people found some strange objects in a goat that was slaughtered for a ceremony. It happened in Oke-Ibedo area of this town. The incident attracted a large crowd because evil news spreads faster. The strange objects were later identified as pieces of raw gold.

“I didn’t witness it, but I have the pictures of the objects on my phone. I had taken it from a friend who took the photographs at the scene. It was gathered later that the people who witnessed it took the objects and the goat to the king’s palace. Since then, the matter had been laid to rest.”

Daily Sun was told by stern looking security men that Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi that the monarch was not around. A palace worker who refused to reveal his identity said: “No such thing happened in this town.” He immediately walked away.

Mercury
