abduleez1: Na the Koko be this. Dem wan claim different from the crowd.
I no go surprise say if this S2 go as perfect as the first and nothing to nitpick about, the anti-woke guys go come flag am down talk say dem spoil am with g@y scenes.
The anti-woke guys are like hyenas. They only go after shows that performed poorly or don't have a very strong following and claim wokeness is the reason those shows performed poorly.
As long as there's no controversy window they can jump on, they'll steer clear of Arcane for the most part.
Love how the first thing they did was assure us that Mel is alive and well. Appreciate that, Fortiche.
Also, the first thing we see being the gold light of Mel's jewels fading keeps lending to the theory that those jewels are more than just pretty accessories.
oyaskii: Is it sudden praise for Arcane that I'm seeing everywhere? Because I could have sworn that just a week ago, this ground was littered with comments about how the show wasn't all that and a product of overhype 😩
Well, I welcome the new converts and former doubters... but still......!😮💨🧐
They're lurking, waiting for the slightest opportunity to start dragging peak.
Potafue: Ah a fellow cultured individual i highly recommend maou sama retry s1 was okay but s2 truly gave up 10/10 i wasted my time the first 2 eps where just recaps. While hitoribocchi was just..... Aggressively mid the mc was the only one with dialogue in the first ep literally no one else talked not the generic god summoner or his cliche classmates just him repeating the same tropey stuff with no flair or charisma, with the classic 4/10 animation, absolute trash will keep watching.
Did you watch failure frame last season🤭.
Was going to watch Failure Frame but ended up switching it with Ossan Newbie Adventurer. I don't know if I'll get around to checking out Maou-sama Retry but I plan to check Maou 2099 at some point.
Potafue: Does anyone else here enjoy watching trash isekai and did anyone watch hitorribochi isekai and maou sama retry s2 and thought it was pure art because of how badly they both suck.
At least maou 2099 is bringing honor to the maous.
Trash isekai enjoyer here. I just haven't had time lately to watch them.
Side Note: This is also why I rarely take people who complain about isekai saturating the anime space seriously. Because me who even wants to watch isekai ends up not finding time to watch them due to other good anime from other genres also airing.
I still have some 2019 and 2020 films and TV shows I'm yet to watch. I believe if I hadn't lost my phone I'd still have some media downloaded since 2017. A few particular of them that I have downloaded at least two or three times cos I lost my phone but never watched them till now — Inglorious B@sterds. That film especially don survive two phone theft and I still manage to download am all the time and yet I never still watch am till today. 🤦🏽♂️
That film fit really be me and my 7 yr old pikin go watch am together.
oyaskii: na rookie numbers be that....i have media i copped, way back in 2019, that i haven't even scratched 😩😅.
Me and my grandkid in 2076, finally seeing the pilot of a show i downloaded in 2019 .... 😩😁
Jokes aside, there's shows on my watchlist that I've accepted I'll watch with my kids. Cos at the current pace, definitely not seeing them anytime soon
1 day to go. Last thing I want to touch on is the speech aspect of Arcane.
The dialogues and monologues are absolutely well-written, with a lot of lines being very impactful and memorable, as well as, displaying tenets of the characters' personality such as Viktor's self-awareness, Mel's resilience and Vi's street upbringing.
But when it comes to quotes, both dialogue and monologue, Silco is the undisputed king. And while a good portion of this is because of Jason Spisak who really got that poisoned honey manner of speaking across, whoever wrote Silco's lines did an amazing job as well.
Will definitely miss Silco in Season II but from what I saw of Ambessa in Season I, looks like she'd be a worthy replacement.
oyaskii: Omo 😩! I just know bulk of the money went to the VFX guys and animators. I really would like to see, how hard they cooked S2, more than S1 in terms of the animation, because the animation for S1 totally snapped... one of the most aesthetically pleasing animations in a while.
E go shock you say 2 different departments chopped a larger slice of the budget than VFX and animation
