oyaskii: 367 downloads?? 😩😩. Find time to watch them and declutter!.
My YouTube life is actually well curated lol, i devote time weekly to watch videos i "liked" during the week but i never go near that "download" button. Andriod apps are too unstable to take that risk, small shake to the cache and data of the YouTube app and you'd lose those downloads in an instant 😩.
Plus those downloads require alot of storage to function properly because of how YouTube encrypts their downloaded videos.
So my basically just like, watch and move on, although they keep recommending but i never hit that "download" button 🙃
CoolUsername: 4chan's /a/ board may be fun of contrarian elitists but elitists can be good for one thing and that is giving recommendations. So, for those of us who have seen most of the popular stuff and want to experience something fresh or those who just want to explore a diverse pool of the anime media available to us. This may be an interesting chart.
Let me present to you the modestly named "Recommendation to end all recommendations". It's a big chart so I had to upload it to Imgur.

Replace "[dot]" with an actual "."
Hidamari Sketch is a name I haven't heard in a long time.
They really got the premium elitist lineup with Texhnolyze, Ergo Proxy, Haibane Renmei and Dennou Coil
This is the greatest science-fiction epic ever made for its time. This is supported by those who claim to understand the complexities involved and leading up the Star Child ending. The others, like myself, find it as absorbing as watching paint dry on woodwork.
The musical background is glorious, the colors are dazzling, and there's an interesting use of HAL as a villainous computer. Beyond that, there is nothing the least bit interesting about the human characters (trite dialogue and no personality or warmth to any of the individuals), the pace is unbelievably slow (so the intellectually gifted can philosophize on the mysteries of space), and the payoff at the end leaves you either breathless with enlightenment or convinced that you have watched three hours of nothingness.
I had the same letdown feeling when I watched THE CLOCKWORK ORANGE, so your like or dislike of this movie is purely dependent on personal taste. Intellectuals will take the position that you are a mentally challenged clod if you dare disagree with their elevated opinion of the movie--so be aware that this is not conventional story-telling in any sense whatsoever and only for those who admire Stanley Kubrick's way with unlikely cinematic material.
The fact that for the 1st 25 minutes no dialogue ensued, just a bunch of chimpanzees crying for bananas or some shit is just crazy 6/10
It's actually immature folks that will claim you're a mentally challenged clod for disagreeing with whatever recycled opinion they're peddling.
I need people to start realizing that very few to no actual intellectuals will ever disagree with you having a contrasting or opposite opinion to theirs. They actually welcome the unpopular perspective and are happy to debate you, as long as you know what you're talking about.
This is getting so much praise, but i fear it might not be enough!.
Not a fan of Kdrama or anything K for that matter, bought into the hype of this to see what the fuss was about and i was totally and completely blown away! The writing might be the boldest, best and probably the freshest i have seen in a while, like it was actually better than what hollywood has been offering for a good number of years now, like i couldn't believe what i was watching!
A crazy Non-linear plot that the pilot looked so simple, but each unfolding episode was delicately and deliberately made that they could stand as an "anthology standalone" meanwhile they were part of the bigger plot line, like an onion, with which layer you peel, you discover you have been served a subtle clue in the preceding layer!
The production value was so high, like i couldn't believe it. Is it what you k drama people enjoy on a regular basis, or was this just a one time hit? Because it looks like K drama has my attention now because i think they totally have something for me!
Who noticed the clock counting down as the guy passed through each death? small easter egg. 100% worth the hype
9/10.
The premise really had me wishing I could check this out when it started airing and I'm really just happy to hear a reliable source confirm that the premise was done justice. Might never get around to watching it, anytime soon at least, but I love that that beautiful premise didn't go to waste.
oyaskii: A certain Hans Zimmer might still hold claim to the ultimate crown but that Ludwig brother has been smokes for a while now.
I don't know why I thought Hans was in his late 70s but I just checked and dude is still in his mid 60s. Also just bagged another babe so man obviously still has strength to keep going. He'll probably hold that crown for another decade but Ludwig is definitely coming for his throne.
oyaskii: "The thing isn't can you read music, it is can you hear it." "Can you hear the Music, Robert?"
As a lover of film music, I must say the Oppenheimer score might possibly be the best piece of film music i have heard in a long while without any shadow of doubt 😩.
Every note, every key totally in sync with the particular scene, like the score is so so"deliberate" that hearing the score, you can "hear" the particular scene it was "played", naaah Ludwig Göransson made magic with this.
I saw clips of the Live orchestra of the Score with the actual movie playing in the background and i am like damn, White people really do know how to enjoy themselves 😩😩.
Good luck to any film music/score trying to compete with it this award season 🙏🏿. A timeless....timeless piece of film music...Up there with the greats 🌱
Been on a Michael Giacchino hype train since 2021 but Ludwig has now overtaken that brother in my rankings. Man is currently clear of every other composer.
oyaskii: Yt people law is something else, she was only registered as a sex offender when she did it a second time, worst of all, you only got 3 months jail time, the first time around...crazy still, she was actually married" whilst chasing and abusing the young man...a really really crazy story.
I just hope spam bot doesn't nab me but check the link below
This is why African moms are supreme. If she mistakenly survive the first time, that second time she would've certainly been greeted with hot pepper water.
GloriousGbola: I wasted 45 minutes looking for a download of this movie after seeing your comment. I got some clearly sketchy links with avi files of 700mb for a 1080p video. So I Googled and confirmed. Blueray is not due till February
As an aside after 6 months I finally got a proper English dub of suzume.
Pray the February release comes with an English dub or that's another 6 months of waiting.
Chibudollar: The BEAR won best comedy in the just concluded award. In no world should that series be considered a comedy show. I mean we have rib cracking series and they carried the award and gave it to that depression show. Haba
abduleez1: I see. Wondering if it's record setting gross is mostly due to inflation and the weakened currency. Cos beating The Wedding Party 2 and the likes is no mean feat and by a huge mile and we still dey cinema season with more legs to go.
That's actually a viable thought. Increased ticket costs can't be ruled out as a factor. Which has me thinking, if we adjust for inflation, has it really beat The Wedding Party 2?
abduleez1: Omo, na premium suffer be dis sha... Been in the theatre for 2 hours now and I still dey wait for movie Showtime. My screening for Aquaman 2 is at 8:25pm at VIVA Cinema.
With the way I take rush comot for house to beat traffic and get there in time to get tickets before 5:40pm no be here. E pain me sha. Only to see the Google showtimes are grossly inaccurate.
Had no choice than to lurk around the mall and go get food. Still e no reach to kill off 3hours of waiting. Had the option of moving down to Silverbird Cinemas but I no get strength for waka waka. This is just a painful stress for many ppl.
Kinda noticed many Nigerians opting for the local Nollywood movies like "Malaika" and "A Tribe Called Judah". Glad to see we are still patronising our industry enmasse. It's kinda evident with them getting the better showtimes. Heard one of the local movies had hit #1bn naira in box office. E be like na only me go see Aquaman sha. 🙃🙃
When we were almost done with WAEC; others were actually done and had all travelled home while waiting for NECO to commence. Two groups of SS3 students (The ones offering Health Science and we offering Technical Drawing) still lingered around.
Our principal had recently installed a TV and a DVD player in our multipurpose hall, so on a particular evening, we were having a plenary session about movies and the senate made a unanimous decision to visit the multipurpose after night prep. We contributed some money and snuck out of school to buy a movie - The Last Stand it was. Back in school premises, with our movie in hand, we were in stealth mode waiting for our oversabi physics teacher to leave his lab; oga kept us waiting till almost 12 midnight.
It was a cinema dub, but we honestly had no idea what CAMrip was at that time. We could see what was happening, hear the dialogue and witnessed a healthy dose of action, to say we were blown away is an understatement, so after leaving the hall, we all knew the process would be repeated again the next day.
