Looks like Daemon got married to lady laena
This new alicent looks like a better actress

And viserys is still alive

Didn't you just say you'd stopped consuming everything that comes from the west?

Najdorf:
Is this the Lycoris Recoil I've been hearing about? How good is it?

It's absolutely entertaining if Cute Girls Doing Cute Things with the occasional shootout is your jam.

A whole new volume. Pace yourself well, Togashi-san. Don't be working yourself into a hospital ward.

Hohenheim:
Wtf does "Getting Woke" even mean.

At this point, whatever you want it to.

Pantheon - Episode 4

The theme for this episode seems to be everything is not what it seems. From one character realizing their whole life is a lie to David learning that he's been perceiving his new existence through a pretty limited scope.
With every new episode, Pantheon keeps setting itself up as the best animated show of the year.

Expand your perceptions.

So Laurie finally shows up and instantly grabs the best character award like she grabbed David. With authority.

pu7pl3:
Say what you want about rings of power but there is no denying the God-tier world building and dialogue. Especially that queen's speech at the end of ep4, I almost raised up my hand to volunteer tbh.

Then you remembered you'll eat cassava and agbado everyday

I'm not trying to be a fearmonger but I've seen these people infiltrate and destroy too many subcultures and fandoms. Maybe I'm just a little bit paranoid.

Nah! It's plausible. Money talks, büllshit works after all. And they've got the money to exert a bit of influence. Streaming platforms like Crunchyroll and HiDive have changed the landscape and are basically growing as revenue options for anime companies. If the revenue keeps growing, we might just see the creators leaning more in that direction.

Fuki spitting facts

I mean—we're already Shonen Jump moving away from fanservice. All the titles with content that the western puritans won't approve of are being moved to the Jump+ app, including Chainsaw Man.

The top Shonen Jump manga, Jujutsu Kaisen is as westernized as they come. The male character designs are fujo-bait, which is cool and all, but there's definitely no eye-candy for the primary shonen audience—on the biggest shonen magazine, mind you.

They are definitely boiling the frog slowly.

Ok, now you're making me nervous.

From last episode to this episode, Takina wanted all the smoke.

Kuroda has always been badass

Calling the FBI to report this vawulence

Zeek with the wisdom

I'm becoming increasingly worried about western influence on the modern manga/anime industry.

I'll get worried when I see Japanese creators start pandering to the western PC audience. As long as good old Nippon keeps giving them the finger, they can cry harder for all I care

CoolUsername:
She was almost cut from anime. CD Projekt Red wanted her removed because they thought she was a 'loli' character. Studio Trigger basically told them that Rebecca stays or they walk.

Based Trigger!

MJBOLT:

me patiently waiting for Disney to buy DC so I can watch Justice League team up with Mickey Mouse

A Bugs Bunny x Mickey Mouse project would break the space-time continuum. Our universe is not ready for that.

Finally, it's here. Make them no do us this kind thing next week abeg

Weekend Watch List

Having grown up there, the place holds a lot of memories, but while playing, they suddenly get caught up in a mysterious phenomenon. When they regain consciousness, they see an entire ocean before them as the housing complex has drifted into a mysterious sea with Kousuke, Natsume, and others in it. Will they be able to return to their previous world? A summer farewell journey begins...

- Only Yesterday (1991)

Taeko Okajima is a 27-year-old, independent woman who spent her entire life in Tokyo. Looking to unwind from the rush of the big city, she decides to visit her family in the country to help out during the harvest.

On the train there, Taeko vividly recalls her memories as a schoolgirl in the initial stages of puberty, as if she is on a trip with her childhood self. A young farmer named Toshio picks her up at the station, and they quickly develop a friendship. During her stay, Taeko forms strong bonds with family and friends, learning the contrasts between urban and rural life, as well as the struggles and joys of farming.

Nostalgic and bittersweet, Only Yesterday takes on Taeko's journey as an adult woman coming to terms with her childhood dreams compared to the person she is today.

Did Sir just snap his 3MB run out of existence?

Lol! Was about to mention his 3MB run too before I saw your post?

Pantheon - Episode 3

3 episodes in, and I have to applaud the writing and pacing of this show. Both have been stellar so far. Exposition is more show than tell and they're taking their time peeling back the curtains while also not making it feel dragged out so far.
Even as we get to know the characters, most of their motives still remain shrouded. With events like the Uploaded escaping their loops, some chaos might be brewing ahead.
And with Maddie and Ellen navigating their new digital relationship with David, I wonder whether the story will treat the UIs as a continued existence or a new incarnation, a digital imprint perhaps, of the original person.
Mich remains to be seen as Pantheon's story continues to unfold and I'm still looking forward to every new episode.

RayMcBlue:
There's some kind of bully alliance going on in this section. It has been going on for some time now. This alliance comprises of Kaycee7, Abduleez1, pu7pl3, and GloriousGbola.

If you fight one, the rest will team up and bully you into submission, so I'm advicing everyone to stop engaging with these guys. They exhibit a hive behaviour that's as horrible as it's fascinating. Not cool.

Why you no go dey spin conspiracy theory when you come to a movie thread to fight people?

Thegamingorca:
Is that the inside of it's teeth?

2nd picture? That's her ripping someone's head off from the inside

Faputa really didn't come to play

pu7pl3:
Really? You read all that he typed and this is what you got from it? That he is "very pro-Russia"?

Omo

Abduleez na ex-KGB agent nah. If you like, dey talk to am anyhow. Na for Siberia you go see yourself

CoolUsername:
Is this by Masaaki Yuasa?

Not really, but it's a spinoff of The Tatami Galaxy which he directed and they obviously stuck with his style.
