neztar:
are there bad elves?
In LotR? Closest to a bad elf would be Feanor who committed atrocities against his fellow elven kin in his quest to get back the silmarils.

You didn't watch the scene where all male elf were powerless against the snow troll only for the mighty galadriel to kill him effortlessly?
There's actually very few elves in the LotR verse close to Galadriel in power. But powerful, badass women would always piss y'all off anyways.

i might be wrong here but, dark and black are two different things. Those who watches black clover will understand. Dark elves to my knowledge are elves that has been corrupted.
Dark elves are also depicted as a different elf tribe and even corrupted dark elves are represented as dark-skinned.

As a guy who follows gaming news I see this all the time. Let the hero or lead be anything other than a white guy and you will start seeing all sorts of long winded analysis.

The word is right there FANTASY.

You can imagine if jk Rowling had made Ron or hermione black. grin.
Can't have that. Would've obviously ruined the world building and immersion. grin grin

Owopariola001:
It was even better than House of Dragon which used a "very black" man with white hair. I mean, though it may be possible like blacks in the Solomon Islands, that's not a usual thing among blacks. Plus a black noble in a prehistory period married a white princess? Nah.
It's kinda funny how it's easier for some folks to accept the fücking dragons than a black dude in a fantasy series.

I don't like season movies oo.... anyway, I need to ask, why does "spoilers" affect how many people enjoy movies??

I like reading about my movies before I watch it sef, if it's going tough, I enter Wikipedia to read the plot.
It also depends on the story that is being spoiled or what exactly is being spoiled about a story.
For example, if someone spoils the twist in a mystery story, it basically destroys all the setups. The suspense is gone, the intrigue is gone and the viewing experience becomes hollow for most.

Pantheon - FIRST IMPRESSIONS

If you like mystery, watch Pantheon.
If you like sci-fi, watch Pantheon.
If you like sci-fi mystery, you should definitely be watching Pantheon.

I went into this show nigh blind. Had only the synopsis I read on PsaRips which was part of what piqued my interest along with the cover art.
After the first episode, Pantheon definitely has my full attention. It's already set up a number of questions while doing a decent bit of world building. I am absolutely invested in this show already.

It's a bit of a slow burner but well-paced and with interesting dialogue, so the pilot never felt like a drag throughout the 40-minute runtime.

Definitely looking forward to the next episodes.

P.S: If you can't manage suspense, I'll recommend waiting until it finishes airing to binge.

Lol, see as you dey talk nonsense, frodo that was considered odd among hobbits cos of his curiosity of the outside world, it was samwise that preferred a more quiet life, while I agree he might have been forced, he did it for a heroic reason also but nori and frodo are very similar
Very similar? Nori has more in common with Pippin than Frodo. Frodo's curiosity stems from being raised by Bilbo. And even at that, his curiosity was more of a quiet curiosity as opposed to Nori who actively pokes her nose in business that isn't hers. He also lacks the mischievous trait Nori has shown in these 2 episodes, which is more a quality of Pippin. Pippin is one of a few hobbits that would see a meteor fall and then go to look at it, then be crazy enough to fall inside the crater and adventurous enough to drag whatever they found there back.

@bolded, did you even watch the original trilogy? undecided
Galadriel is not a rip off of Aragon. Infact she was one of the main in LOTR trilogy. Played by the same person who played Hela in the MCU (blanking on the name). And she is stronger than gandalf before you start another round of complains
Dude even called Nori "female Frodo" even though Frodo just wanted a quiet life in The Shire and had to be forced on the ring journey while Nori actually seeks adventure and wants to see the world.
E really reach to ask whether he truly watched the original trilogy? Or whether his eyes are even working properly cos wtf was man saying about the CGI?

Is anyone seeing Pantheon? It's an animated series, just episode 1 and 2 out.

I'm enjoying it.
The premise and art style interested me and it's got rave reviews. Downloaded the 2 episodes for this weekend.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - FIRST IMPRESSIONS

It was apparent from the first teasers of The Rings of Power that it was going to be a pretty loose adaptation of the events of The Second Age of Middle Earth, so all that remained for the optimists to look forward to was a good show in and of itself.

After the first 2 episodes, while they're delving into the lore of the Second Age in a wider way than is covered in the second half of The Silmarilion, the drastic changes to the timeline are very glaring to any knowledgeable Tolkiendil.

That aside, the show does an amazing job of transporting the viewer to the Middle Earth in the Second Age, taking a number of inspiration from Peter Jackson's trilogy, chief of which is bringing back Howard Shore who composed the score for the original trilogy to the music team for this show. You don't need to be told that Amazon sunk a lot into the production with the amazing visuals, sets, costume and makeup down to minute details.
The cast's performance was alright, except for the Harfoots. The actors playing the Harfoots are spectacular, the standout performance so far.

I was skeptical all through production and promotion of this show and while the skepticism isn't completely gone, I'm now a lot more optimistic for the show to impress than I was before. Really, really hope Amazon sticks the landing on this one.

No dey defend that she Hulk sha, channel your energy elsewhere...
The show is trash and I fear for what they'll do with daredevil now.
Show's just 3 episodes and is, at least, the same quality as other Disney+ MCU shows like Hawkeye. If I see cap, I'll always call it out. Like the dude who's claiming the show is a flop but can't back it up.

Anyways, I highly doubt Disney will match the awesomeness of Netflix's Daredevil. Lemme sha see how they handle him in She-Hulk. His appearance in NWH was pretty good for how short it was

They did. First reactions for Prey on the movie thread were them whining before folks who actually knew what they were talking about started discussing the movie.

If you were sensible enough to read my initial post, you'll discover that I didn't rubbish the whole show but the She-Hulk herself.

And to state the obvious, the whole show is a sheet show which will soon be obvious to even Tom Dick and Harry by the time it will be cancelled after season 1.
Na you go cancel am? I no know say na Disney exec I dey discuss with. Abeg no cancel am boss
