proudlysports: Like 4ller rightly stated, Giroud did win many aerial balls for us. I know its hard to predict direction of the ball especially when heading under pressure, but he and Walcott need to work on their understanding. Many of the balls he won were into space but Walcott was always positioned in the opposite direction.

I'm not trying to knock Giroud for yesterday's game, if not for the missed chances, he would easily be in contention for MOTM. He was all over the pitch, at times I saw him in defence even when we weren't defending set-pieces and that was great to watch. Maybe I over-exaggerated by saying he didn't win a single one.

By "win balls", I dont mean flick ons and knock downs, like you said, there was no one to pick up the 2nd. Why ? we were 1 man lighter, he was upfront alone and those balls went straight back to the black cat's attack. (Check 00:40 and 03:09 of Proudly's Sagna video ^^^)

I've seen Holt play alone like that; he brings down those balls to hold up play and bring others in, or backs into defenders in a way that he wins bizzare free-kicks; he puts his size to good use.

Would be nice if he adds a skill like that to his play book.
