PoliticsRe: Soyinka: Nigeria On The Brink Of Another Civil War by KayDee4: 4:12am On Mar 30, 2013
payless: Now someone should tell me why Jonathan is sending all these "former militants" on overseas military training. He is sending them there just to prepare for war he is trying to create. They are spreading the country's wealth to Southsouth people because they believe they have been marginalized for too long. Jonathan thinks he has a score to settle between his people (SS), Southwesterners and Northerners.

Jonathan is trying to create unrest to perpetuate him to stay in power. He rather stays in power by raining havoc than to face an election. Mark my word, Nigeria is heading for war. Why did Bayelsa government buy a house in Lagos to accomodate those Chadian terrorists? Their next target is to create havoc in Lagos by denotating bombs and maim innocent children, men and women.

Jonathan is an inept President with nothing to offer other than chaos. Nigerians, wake-up!
Uncle Jona is not as evil as you paint him to be.

I think he means well for Nigeria but he's got absolutely no idea what to do and that's dangerous for us all.

nor be only ex-militants dey go overseas training nah, the inclusion of 1 or 2 former militants is not enough to build a conspiracy like this infact some of your conspiracies are starting to sound like a Nollywood movie script* grin grin

Abeg, I no want war for Naija o. Amen !! smiley smiley

CFCfan: You deserve a medal. That's almost an entire day in the air.
For one reason or another, I'm usually up all night before I travel, so sleep takes over once I'm airborne.

bumdish: LOL

Can't someone just make a point without saying.
"In December 2000, I alongside my dad and siblings"
"I was once on a Delta flight from ATL to LAG for 12 hours"
"My flight from Italy to Nigeria (Alitalia) was easily one of the more "interesting" flights I've flown"
"I have taken flight between different countries and all those things are there, apart from number 2. 3 weeks ago I flew Lufthansa from Munich to Helsinki"
"I will never forget my experience on-board Emirates airline in October 2006. The Lagos-Dubai and Dubai-JFK flights "

Naija, we too like to dey show grin
Lol !!! I thought the thread was for 'donation' of experiences.

byrron: Reactions from the outcome:
Campaigners in the Niger delta expressed disappointment at the plea bargain. Celestine AkpoBari, programme officer at Social Action Nigeria, said: "I would have loved to see Dick Cheney in chains in our court and facing justice in our prisons. That would have been a very big point that would have lifted Nigeria out of its woes." (http://www.datalounge.com/cgi-bin/iowa/ajax.html?t=9948603#page:showThread,9948603).
Lol !! "in chains in our court"

Sounds good to the ears but charity begins at home. How many of our own home-grown brazenly corrupt govt. officials have gone through a proper trial and convicted accordingly.

Papa wey no fit control him pikin wan go dicipline neighbour pikin.

Who in the international community will ever take us serious when we pardon state criminals and throw parties for them.
Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea In Combat Posture To Hit US by KayDee4:
US got in cos they were(and still are) pro-Britain - Churchill was almost crying for help, Hitler was conquering european territories at an alarming rate and fear of the Soviets taking over and instilling communism in Europe if they made it through.

They were reluctant to get in at first because of the opposition at home but when they attacked the Japs in retaliation for the P.harbour bombings, Hitler foolishly declared war (he signed the tripartite treaty, so he had to) on the US.
Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea In Combat Posture To Hit US by KayDee4: 3:46pm On Mar 27, 2013
pleep: General Macarthur wanted to end the Korean war by attacking China with nukes. Aren't you glad they didn't?

America has its hands tied, if it act too aggressivly people like you will demonize it, if it act to passively people demonize it too
I tire o, people criticise the US for 'meddling' in other countries' affairs but when things get out of hand (like it did in Rwanda), they also criticise them for not getting involved.

Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea In Combat Posture To Hit US by KayDee4: 4:09am On Mar 27, 2013
The US will be secretly wishing that none of these hot spots (Syria, Iran, Mali and N.Korea) boils over the red line; they would rather not get into any senseless war, they are not ready for another one (psychologically / financially). They haven't recovered from the Iraq-Afghanistan fiasco, the economy is still very shaky, they can't even pay returning and wounded vets, 10 yrs after the Iraqi invasion, people are still outraged that they got into it in the first place; but if it comes down to the 'come down', they wont hesitate to delete North Korea from the world map.

. . . . . and as long as we have troublesome countries and terrorist who may one day just decide to nuke themselves and take the whole world along, I don't mind having the US do world policing duties.
Foreign AffairsRe: North-Korea In Combat Posture To Hit US by KayDee4: 3:47am On Mar 27, 2013
cap28: The United States are using lies and propaganda on clueless people who still havent understood that america is the real terrorist nation and not a tiny country like north korea, every nation has the right to defend itself from the imperialist agenda of the united states:
Oya tell us they want to invade N.Korea for their oil.

PoliticsRe: List Of People Pardoned By Bill Clinton (Re: GEJ's Pardon Of Alamieyeseigha) by KayDee4:
Lol !!
Comparing US presidential pardons to GEJ's . . .. . . . . clownish.
In a country where corruption has become cancerous, spreading like wild-fire and politicians steal with audacity; tough and hellish punishments should be imposed, instead we're seeing varying degrees of leniency from GEJ and co.

BeraBera: Most of these social media activists and civil societies organizations are simply crying more than the bereaved. This is because the people of Bayelsa state are not even the ones complaining. Deprieye is one of their own, and they can't possibly condemn a good thing that came the way of their own.
He did not only steal Bayelsa's money, it was National looting. How will they condemn him ? When people are bribed with bags of rice or N1000 and they see that as a good thing from the govt., they are satisfied and have become political sycophants.

BeraBera: By the way, this should not be a reason why some people would now go and embezzle money belonging to their state/ ministries, believing that they would be granted state pardon in the future. That Alams was pardoned today is not a guarantee that every other corrupt person would be pardoned tomorrow.
There's an adage that says: If rat follows lizard to play in the rain, it should remember that by the time the lizard's body is dry of the water, his own body would still be dripping wet.
That's exactly the message it sends out : " you can steal and be pardoned in future" ; "you can steal and be fined only a wee portion of your loot to avoid jail term". Potential thieves will be emboldened by this.

* "Alams for 2015" posters will be out soon !! *

CelebritiesRe: Emeka Ike Is Against Legalizing Gay Marriage by KayDee4: 4:33pm On Mar 20, 2013
caukerzee: i'm not a thief and will never be one. But if being a thief makes someone happy, i do not see any reason why we should stop thieves from stealing what they want. APPLY SOME LOGIC.
Your logic is totally flawed.

You cannot compare thieves or robbers to gay people.

Thieves are a menace to the society, they kill and maim and their actions can be termed to be outright 'criminal'.

Gay activities do not affect the general society, we can argue about the morality of it and how it affects our cultural values but it is not close to being in the same criminal class as armed-robbery.

Thieves and their victims are not in any form of agreement but 2 gay people behind closed doors ? na their toro' be that.

You can only compare them if the gay boy becomes a serial rap15t who takes butt by brute force.

NYSCRe: Snake Killed Under My Bed At Nysc Orientation Camp, Ikare-akoko, Ondo-state... by KayDee4:
Just one snake ? grin grin
This is child's play compared to what I experienced in Edo State camp some years ago.
The camp houses were unfinished buildings in the middle of, and surrounded by thick tall grass bushes; the camp officials decided to burn the bushes days after we arrived and moved in, so the snakes moved from the burning bush into our sleeping area.
It was terrifying and worse than the scene from 'snakes on a plane'; they were everywhere, hanging from the roof struts(there were no ceiling boards), from electric wires, in every corner, in people's buckets, under the mattress. Out of fear, people slept in standing positions at night. - The situation lasted almost the duration of our stay on camp. To crown it all up, there were scorpions too.

Luckily for us we all made it out without a single bite mark, no one suffered a scorpion sting or snake bite.

Chai !! NYSC - Now Your Suffering Continues.

Good goal form Nachooo..

We would fight until the last day for that 4th position.
Have no fear, Manshitty will be dragged into this mudfight for a top 4 spot.
4 teams will be fighting for 3 spots, there's hope for Arsenal.

SimplySEA: No! Moral of d story. Careful d kind of interview u grant and persons too. They may not hesitate to drag u down when they have d chance....! Ffuck channels tv!
The media is there to ask public officers questions on behalf of the people. Public officers should always be on their toes because of the media and we the people benefit (or should benefit) from this 'check' process.
The guy should have at least done his basic homework before going on air, that would have hidden his ignorance from us but not doing that goes to show how bad we have it with misfits heading important ofices in our country.

Thumbs up to Channels TV.
