Nasri put out a beautifully crafted statement citing a lack of trophies as the main reason for wanting to leave the club, don't know if to believe him or if he's just saying this so he doesn't come across as "greedy" when he eventually leaves.

In the beginning Wenger said Nasri refused to sign a new deal because ,  "he wants more money" and now 'Nasiru' says its not about the money. IF so, it means he doesnt believe in the arsenal project and wants to skate; and no one can blame him for that.

Now its up to Wenger to do something to show him we'll be more ambitious next season and convince him to stay. Transfer inactivity is causing as much anxiety among the players as it causes the fans. The players want to see signings made as that will be an indication of the club's ambition. The delay is unsettling players, other clubs are taking advantage of that to dangle carrots and now RvP and Walcott are in the news as "wanted".

So smarten up Monsieur Wenger, 'Transfer Poker' is not a good way of doing business. Still waiting. . . . ,  . . . . . . .

These complaints were talking about is a worldwide epidemic, check other blogs from Toronto to Bangkok its the same story. I guess we cant help it anymore.

Nasri hasn't signed yet. That's crap. if he want to leave he should jus put it in paper. I don't subscribe to us giving him anytin more than 'already generous' 90k per week. If we didn't bring him to england, he'll probably will still be earning 40k or thereabouts. And he isn't even exactly established. Jus half season of excellent perfomance isn't enough. If Arsenal pay him 100k or more, he better put up a 5star performance every game.

Really, I think they should just give him the extra 20-30k he's asking for, on a 5-yr contract. Nasri knows like we all know that his worth has increased and that's y d vultures are hovering around him like dead meat. Wenger shld just put an end to this drama, that will be a signing for me.

That has been the case because of what Wenger is about to do now. The team has never appeared to be complete; one season, the attack is crap and defence is good, the next season, the defence is crap and attack is good and this coming season, defence and attack might be superb but midfield will be crappy, he keeps building and dismantling before completion.

Abeg, football is all about money and success (trophies) and if Nasri is not getting trophies he has to console himself with money then.

4th place for arsenal to me is as good as anywhere from 2nd to 20th, cos its nothing to boast about.

I wont blame RvP if he wakes up 2mrw and starts talking of a move too cos he must really feel like a lost sheep in the team if all the other guys leave.


Cant fight the anxiety of waiting for signings but make i just ''siddon dey look" like OBJ while Wenger plays poker with our heads.

Abeggggg,,  people are pissed and they should be allowed to express it as many times as they want.

Because the story of signings @ the emirates is beginning to sound like AW is on a treadmill ; running for so long and getting no where. All we hear is; "interested in", "inquired about", "one step closer to signing, ", "tracking , ", blah blah blah. Tell us someone has undergone a medical or @ least that Nasri's contract is sorted and I will heave a sigh of relief before the frustration starts to build again.

Signing of Cahill and Samba is not restricted by the July 1st opening bell so what is the excuse,  No money I know we've got financial issues but we can't be that brokeeee. Well, Im counting down to 07/01/2011 and I will check www.arsenal.com before i even brush my in the morning. Hope Arsene is preparing his unveilings.

You can tell the American media is so biased and rinks of racism. If this guy is an American Citizen like the story says, why do they have to mention he was Nigerian?? I mean, he is American, period! If it were a white man from UK with American citizenship, i guarantee u they would not say an American citizen from britain, Why? because they believe they have more in common with the briton and they view him as "their own", Not one black man from the doomed continent Africa!

Of course the media feeds off stories like this but you cant blame them for that because they report whatever information they get.

I think it depends on how he identified himself, if you tell the feds that you're Nigerian or you provide a Nigerian passport as ID then it has to be reported that you are Nigerian.

I know of a Nigerian man in Texas that was declared wanted by the FBI for a BIG crime ( defrauding the American government) and throughout the whole story nothing was said about him being a  Nigerian probably because he had an American passport and was identified as an American. I could only tell he was Nigerian because of his typical naija names first and last, no english name inbetween .

Woke up to the news on MSNBC this morning and i think its a little embarassing.

For those people saying its no big deal, just be prepared for extra scrutiny @ airports because  d word "Nigerian" suddenly becomes synonymous with "fake I.D", "stoaway" and s**t like that.
