Romance › Re: Who Is More Jealous, A Guy Or girl? by kaypumpin2(m): 1:21am On Nov 12, 2008
Jealousy,posessiveness,over-protection et al is a feature that is not gender -inclined but synonymous with both male and female. The only reason the female gender is most times viewed as been more jealous is cos they tend to show their own emotions more than the males. We men most times hide behind a cold chilling wall, but are we any different to the female gender?

The game has been good so far, apart from a few issues

Gibbs seems to be suffering from the 'Clichy syndrome' moving into the center instead of sticking out on the left wing - he's allowing Valencia (or Palacios) too much room on that side.

The tendency to pass excessively in front of the box is also worrying, the good thing is that we've had enough men back, if not Wigan could have profited from making long shots. Fabiansky also had a scare on a corner that he came for the ball but missed - good thing Gavin Hoyte hacked the ball clear.

Jay Simpson has been full of running and giving Bramble a torrid time, well taken goal under pressure from the keeper and defender. cool

All in all, given the age and experience of these boys, I'm impressed by how they are even able to attempt flicks and tricks - it shows their high confidence levels.
Touche!I cnt agree more with the emboldened,i jsut hope Arsene will talk some senses in2 their head, the game aint won yet.

Go u young 'uns!

so far so good though i wish we av a strong song in the midfield so as to allow merida and ramsey a freer role and movt.
I want to see more of Vela though,he sees to quite, with his skill he shld drop off to the midfield like RVP and make a run
This team is surely a team foe the future if kept togeda,i want to see Bischoff in the 2nd half though!

Sometimes i wonder if nairaland is just an avenue for some breeds with congenital cranial agenesis air their views.First,i make bold to say that Rear Admiral Harry Arogundade has no law empowering him to blow the siren.Indeed such conceit and unbridled show of power inebriation have been loudly condemned against by powers that are higher than him.Where was he rushing to in the first place, war front? For your info,Our dear Guv Fashola goes around Lagos without such needless power paraphnalia!

2ndly there is no written constitution or law that states that road users must yield his or her arguably inalienable right of way to the man in question. We are conseled and taught howver to yield our right of way in the larger public interest and ours to public officers on urgent assingments, such as police vehicles going after bandits or responding to SOS,fire ambulances, medical ambulances etal.Which and what emergency was the navy man rushin to meet that day?

3rdly:Evn if the said lady had committed an offence, the penalties for such an offence were not the same as those meted out reportedly by the naval ratings on the rear admiral's convoy! It's a trite parlance that you cnt be a prosecutor, the accuser, the judge and the enforcer in your own case, but Arogundade's men were all these in their own case. This is anathemic in civilized societies like ours(?) where the rule of law shld hold sway.

No amount of sophistry, meandering or devil's advocacy cld beautify what these goons have done!Enough said

Cesc04:
I feel AW should go with a 4-4-1-1 formation (like he did vs manscum),with Bischoff operating just behind vela.this way both merida and wilshere can support vela when we are on the offensive and we also have an extra body in midfield to avoid getting overwhelmed in the MF battle,as wigan plans to play a very strong side complete with zaki and camara.

My line up will be something like this:

Fabianski

Hoyte - Song - Djourou - Gibbs

Wilshere - Randall - Ramsey - Merida

Bischoff

Vela
This will seem an exhausting position for Bischoff bearing in mind that hes just recovering.I doubt he can cope with the power and pace attached to a fifth midfielder's work a la Diaby. But if he can,the tactic will be a round peg in a round hole.Wigan is a very strong team and i hope our defence can cope with Heskey, and Zaaki too.Thank God Tour aint playin grin

@rotimiorims. You say the people who stood by and watched were not cowards? Why? Yes the men assaulting her are the ones supposed to protect us. As you said, the people around could do nothin but report. Which is exactly what the girl in question should have done. Please people, let us be realisitc here. This scenario is not peculiar to Naija alone, there is police brutality everywhere, even in developed countries. In such situations, truth be told, the man with the gun has d upperhand at that point in time. You don't go around challenging such, else you get your head blown off for nothing. Especially in a country like naija. If she had any grieveances, there are other ways to go about it; probably less effective but would def have saved her alot of embarrassment.

@dippthinka, ignore all you want, i sure am not trying to sell you my ideas. OYO!

With all this noise we're making here, let's see what comes out at the end of it.
Infact, as it is, we're all cowards, saying this and that here on our computers, which really has little or no effect on the going-ons around us!
I think its funi how u r trying to be a voice of reason and through that you end up leading yourself in2 an abbysmal cul de sac, argument wise. The question is what manner of sin and magnitude of crime could an armless citizen have possibly commited to warrant such wanton battering? Will you try to be this analytical and discerning if this had happened to any of your relative. It is easy to use provocation as a leeway but does it in anyway justify this barbarism. And you keep going on and on about it happening in other part of the world,24 hrs power supply is been experienced in developed countries too,why cnt our own leaders/and people of authority take a cue frm that? Why must it be molestation they are learnin frm and fastly too?

its funi and startling how u think typing and sharing ideas online cld constitute noise too! shocked Or do you mean that figuratively?

Nicklas Bendtner's name is conspicuously missing from this list.
I would have loved to see his partnership with Vela blossom again in this tie.

I hope AW isn't taking a gamble, resting him(Bendtner) and playing Vela with Jay Simpson.
Looking forward to seeing Coquelin, Bischoff, Merida and Ramsey in midfield.
And of course having Englishmen on the field, the likes of Randall,Wilshere,Hoyte and Gibbs.
A blossomin pairing can't be enough reason to exhaust the only physical and credible attacker we have fit right now.Bendtner if peradventured played and injured today we leave us with only Vela as an the only frontman in the whole Arsenal team and that is one situation we dnt need now. However way we criticize Bendtner u cnt compare is presence in the box to that of Bendtner and also we need the aerial presence of this dude till Ade comes back.Am sure it is the reason Bendtner was left out.

Wigan will surely trouble us today and i think they are better and truer test compared to Sheffield.I sense a draw too

@Easy Bay, Kay, A-40 (and hey, where is Ibime?)

You guys have time o, continuing with this unproductive debate that is going no where fast. Please let's move on.

Kay listed some super bouts in his posts that brought back memories. So I felt we could do a list of 10 ten super bouts of our choice. We can then inter-mix them and agree on a final 10 ten list. Peeps, don't be surprised to see Joe Lasisi v Jerry Okorodudu cropping up in some people's list. grin (Hope you catch my drift)

Ok, here goes,

1. Sugar Ray Leonard v Roberto Duran (1)

2. Larry Holmes v Ken Norton (the last round alone - the 15th made this fight great - check youtube)

3. Alexis Arguello v Aaron Pryor (1)

4. Muhammad Ali v Joe Frasier (3)

5. Wilfredo Gomez v Lupe Pintor (phew! Talk about all bang action for 14 straight rounds between two boxing greats)

6. Sugar Ray Robinson v Carmen Bassillo (2)

7. Antonio Barrera v Eric Morales (3)

8. Marvin Hagler v John Mugabi

9. Evander Holyfield v Riddock Bowe (1)

10. Salvador Sanchez v Azumah Nelson

I look forward to your list guys. Once we're done, we can then revert to the top then fights in Nigeria in the 70's to the early part of the 90's.
Wow!Saw ur post late as i didnt bother comin here to read this thread again as i tot it was becomin a poignant joke, which i was ready for @ that particular time
Next level,i will only agree with some of the great fights u pasted here if they are in no particular order, but for most part of the bouts/matches,me also think they are fit to be in evergreen 10 top.

U mentioned Okorodudu and u forgot a certain joke of a boxer called Charles Ndalor grin. Also there is certain naija boxin called Obisia Nwakpa and one great naija boxer called Davidson Andeh.

In this list one fight i will always hold in high esteem is the Sugar/Carmen's bout.Carmen;s left eye was all closed frm punches yet dude refused to allow his corner throw in the towel.

Even the Ali/Frazier 3 is a classic.

Boxin is a joke now and i dnt wanna ever comment on it or else i may start cursing!

Fergie had every right to start Neville fine Rafael had a brilliant cameo but what if he didn't perform well? wouldn't you guys blame Fergie for not utilizing the experience of Neville in a game of that magnitude?

This league has not been won and lost by any side in my opinion Chelsea may be leading now but they are still coming to visit Anfield,OT and the Emirates

now this is what am talkin about guys!great game and nice victory.Well deserved too!I imagined an Edu in that game with those last min scorin chances.Game would have been over with like 2 more goals.A good anaysis of the game and it will be difficult to give a man of the match to anyone, but i think Nasri nicked it with those 2 goals.Dude has been talkin about the match of week long, even before the Ferna match, and am so impressed he gave a good account of himself.

The defence line today was good and nearly all 50/50 balls were won by arsenal.Kudos to Denilson/Diaby esp the latter who covered the width of the field as if on hard drug.Fab to me today was average and am still waiting for him to hit form this season.

The attack?hmmmm, nearly non existent.Obviously Adebayor is incomprable to Bendtner.I am not reffering to goals scorin but Manu hardwork and presence is 2nd to none in that team.

Over all a goood game, now what we need is consistency which is KEY
