Fashola is head and shoulder above these pretenders to his seat. Why i agree some of the panelists, especially Agbakoba were disruptive to the flow of the debate, the grating and annoying manners in these jokers conducted themselves did not help.So many promises with out in-depth knowlegde of the processes involved.I kinda understand Agbakoba's irascibility based on that.

deor03:
Did Baba Randle show up ?
No he didn't but the ANPP candidate made sure we didn't miss the JOKER.Why did some of these parties conspire to make Fashola's road back to the state house so simple.

I am still at sea as to why any sane and right thinking Nigerian will ever support PDP even IF they have an "angel with wings" as their presidential candidate. The same party that has OBJ and Anenih? shocked Even if you have the most celestial of intention, these cogs in the wheel of progress will always remain an albatross.

Funny how guys are yabbing Diaby  undecided What has he done wrong? We needed to keep the game tight hence Wenger's choice of Rosicky in lieu of Arshavin. It must be said though,we need an outlet,a pacy kind of player thus Arshavin in place of Diaby while Cesc drops deeper wouldn't be a bad idea.

We have it all to play in the second half.2-0 or 10-0,it makes no difference.

Curious though, why do refs alone take the flaks for combined ineptitude of match officials. For Everton's goal, that bat-blind assistant ref should have been "sniped" out.Along with Moyes.

Agree with you Dudu.It was the reason I thought at one point he will make a good DM with his near perfect tackling and timely interception. His ability to sniff impending danger is also top notch. To be a complete CB in England though,he needs to hit the gym to enhance his built and physicality.

Great and hard earned victory. With the Barca game coming up,these injuries are not needed abeg. Now it's Song with thigh injury.I hope he recovers soonest.

Seems Arshavin is gradually getting back the groove. And no it's not because of the goal and the assist,it's because inspite of been pressurized today,I can't remember him loosing the ball unnecessarily. This is hoping he continues as Nasri is out now.

Debo we await your reports from the home of football. . . .COYG

Hehehehehe,Emp wan leave EPL go watch La liga where Barca and Real take turns to batter hapless teams to submission. What's the excitement in that?
I agree totally with Debo's assertion as per the drop in form at the top viz a viz the improvement by the lower teams.Cue in the fact that managers like Martinez,Coyle,Hughton(before his sack),Hollie et al do not believe in "anti-football" technique esp when playing the bigger teams, has made the EPL more watchable.

Nice victory lads.Could have been more but for Al Basi's exploits a la Schmeichel.

Congratulation to Persie but the MoTM has to be Beckham and his son,who has the spotlight on them even when they've left.

Next is Ipswitch. . .

shocked shocked shocked Too much money. grin
Jermaine Pennant was contacted by his former club Real Zaragoza recently after he abandoned a Porsche at the railway station in the Spanish city five months ago – and promptly forgot that he owned it.

According to an article published in the Spanish newspaper Marca, Pennant said that he did not remember having owned the car when Real contacted him. The club then opened the car, discovering the keys on the seat within.

The car had a customised licence plate with the registration "P33NNT". The former Arsenal and Liverpool star signed for Zaragoza on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 but he struggled to make an impact with the La Liga side. During his spell in Spain he infuriated coach Jose Aurelio Gay after turning up late for training three times in the space of two weeks.

Last August, he signed for Stoke City on a four-month loan deal, which was then made permanent in December, to the delight of the player. "The atmosphere around the place is brilliant, so I am looking forward to the fact that I am here at Stoke now for the long term and back in the best league in the world."

So because he's never made commited challenges is excesses should be allowed undecided.Abeg you can keep your laughable logic too. wink

HNIC:
I go with Slimshay on this one.
Denilson had one of his better games yesterday.
Bar a few mistakes made, he made some timely interceptions and kept the game flowing from midfield.
Not saying he's the new 'Paddy' grin but cut him some slack, he scored above average yesterday
Of course it easy to score him above average as his mistake didn't culminate in a goal.Denilson was sloppy in possession and made non-committed challenges yesterday that put us under pressure.Denilson has played better in Arsenal jersey, his game against Westham last season readily comes to mind,so when i indicate he was sloppy yesterday,I know he could be better.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by kaypumpin2(m): 9:20am On Jan 20, 2011
How anyone can allude to Denilson not having shitty game is ludicrous. With those half hearted challenges and unnecessary loss of possession, what else does it take to have a shitty game these days, scoring 10 own goals?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by kaypumpin2(m): 11:37pm On Jan 19, 2011
^^^
Can't wait for Ramsey to be back and hopefully he's not gone backward in any form a la Eduardo.Denilson though still young doesn't have a future in this league.

Also I see an understanding team reminiscent of Rozi-Hleb-Cesc brewing between Cesc,Song and Nasri. They just seem to work with and off each other it's a beauty to watch.Add Wilshere and Robin to it and it only gets better.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by kaypumpin2(m): 11:12pm On Jan 19, 2011
Great victory.

But a book should be done on Denilson called "how not to defend"and distributed to up and coming players.I do not think he's ever won any 50/50 ball in his entire career and I am not exaggerating. And how can you do that when you go into challenges unconvincingly and without commitment. He sure spews bunkumery for someone that plays so awfully.

Sagna is back and so is solidity at the RB.I still scoff at Wenger's decision to let Norveidt go with Eboue's non-challance to defensive duties anytime he has the chance to play.

It's easy to diss Bendtner but why doesn Wenger want to force him into being a wing forward when he obviosly lacks the flair to play the role?

Anyway Wigan next at the Emirati.
