In line with your overwhelming suggestions that government should tackle the persons responsible for misappropriating funds meant for the subsidy scheme, the President has directed that the EFCC commence an immediate probe and prosecution of all those who are found to have defrauded Nigeria through the fuel subsidy scheme. This caught my eyes.Does that mean without "overwhelming suggestions" the government would have ignored them ? |

duduspace: Good news for our next match, Drogba and Bosingwa out and Torres still out as well but I hope we won't be the ones Lukaku uses to launch his PL career sha. But why those old men dey phool dem old age like that naa? one woulda thought veterans like that would be smarter? seems Torres is back for our match.
LOL, we still owe Manure one massive thumping though and statistically 1/6 of Manure fans live in Manchester. Bosigwa got a red card for a "professional foul" and that means he will miss one match, which will be Chelsea's Carling Cup match against Everton.Torres will also be back against us as he would have completed his 3-match ban by then. |

coogar: you are good with table soccer? damn! you are the man. bleep playstation and megadrive. . . . .table soccer was the ish - using biro covers to bend spins on bottle tops. abeg, i was a champion in my primary school. you nor fit beat me. If there is a god in table soccer,i am the ONE. it was a back pass! the best own goal ever scored in a cup final! he half volleyed the back pass to his own goalie and raymond king was off his line - he dived but the ball looped over his head. abiola farted in his seat. Abiola wore an ankara to this match on the day, perspirating and taking off his agbada when the goal went in.I could remember him walking down to give team-talk to his lads during the half time too. dayokanu: Who remebered that FA cup final where Toyin Ayinla scored a backheader own goal on Raymond King (Ramoni Oba)
I followed Amodus BCC lions of Gboko too
John Zaki, John Agum, Amir Angwe, Edema Fuludu, Moses kpakor etc When they defeated iwuanyanwu nationale in the FA cup final.
I think Iwuanyanwui had mike obi and Cyril levi then One thing you have to give to Amodu's team is they have a way of dealing with the team from North Africa. Stores were another power house with players like Collins Ebitimi(barb wire) et al. Who can remember what team lost to Friday Ekpo's Shell of Gabon(hope i got the name) in National Stadium with Ekpo scoring a scorcher? |

coogar: toyin ayinla! top player. sofoluwe had one centre-back partner then - what's his name? i can't remember. i just know fa cup final in those years were big events - everywhere jam-packed. I can't remember too.I remember naming my table soccer "players" after these lots.Toyin Ayinla and his deadly left foot. The atmosphere in any stadium when these matches are on is similar to ones in Anfield/OT when Man U faces the red half of Liverpool. If the match is coming up at 4p.m,you better be there by 11p.m just so you can have accesss to the stadium. #Nostalgia. coogar: dayokanu, leventis united were a formidable force back then. . . . it's between them and abiola babes - who be shooting in the days of wole odegbami, james etokebe, edward ansah, andrew uwe and the best striker of that decade(uwem ekarika)? leventis was doing treble without sweats - making m.k.o. abiola cry. To the point a myth was created that Abiola Babes don't win matches when M.K.O was present to watch their matches.Abiola had some great players too like Yisa Sofoluwe,Bode Williams,Raymond King et al. BCC Lions under Amodu's another team i love to love with Moses Kpakpo been one player i can't forget. |

where Leventis United dey with the likes of Uwem Ekarika, Bunmi Adigun, Bawa Abdullahi, Andrew Uwe dem dem?
whenever I remember how good Leventis United, Abiola Babes, IICC Shooting stars, Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Rangers, Bendel Insurance, NNB were I SHUDDER! Same here with Andrew Uweh been my favourite player. The days when the core of our national team's from the local sides. There's no Continental or FA Cup match played in the National Stadium Surulere that i missed.Mingling with the vociferous crowd at stand F(popular side) of the stadium was fun. |

doyin13: Its what amateur coaches do. . . Pack as many forwards on a pitch and expect that will get you goals. MM Wenger does it too and he's considered a coach of note. That said, this team ONLY paid for the misses they had in this game. With the chances they had,we shouldn't even be doing any permutation at any period during the game. |

hannie: Frimpong is on higher pedestal than Coq . . .yes or no?
Lets stop this semantics lesson, Coquelin has to outplay others to get into the team . . .SIMPLES! What pedastal?I have seen both play and Coq is everything Frimpong is not IMO.A better passer and tackler. Wouldn't argue this any further though, let's see how the season pans out and what contribution the both make. as per TECH9 . . .I said drop him to the bench . . .do I need to say it in your native Ijebu or egba dialect for u to get it?
the fact that u temporarily drop a top notch keeper straightens the head of such goaliemepon . . .I never said WE SHOULD KICK HIM OUT OF THE TEAM . . .2 matches on the bench and he will come out better than ever!!! You can say this in any language you like and it will still seem ridiculous. |

duduspace: I thought Arshavin had already lost his place, you know Arshavin is on the last year of his contract and no one is even bothered about it. you could say Gervinho is still settling and he's mostly played on the left so far. I guess its because so far they've played the same position for both club and country, Theo won't likely replace RVP soon cos he can't play that role and so far Arsene hasn't mentioned changing the formation. Theo can play central but it remains to be seen if he can be any better than the likes of Agbonlahor and Defoe from such a position in a 4-4-2. Basically as things stand now, Theo would be royally fcked if he doesn't change position and nothing disrupts OX's current progress . He might soon be on the verge of losing his position for both club and country. I'm not even talkng 4-4-2.Even in 4-3-3,we can have both on the field with both switching roles like Theo/Gervais/Arshavin do in most of our games this season. What's wrong in giving opponents' fullbacks something to worry about from both sides a la Lennon/Bale,or Agbonlahor/Young? all this hype about Coquelin should just stop . .one good game and u guys are hyping him . . haba?
what ever happened to Eastmond and all the hyping a few of u accorded him? let him justify OUTPLAYING ANY OF FRIMPONG, SONG, ARTETA, BENAYOUN, WILSHERE before you guys can hype him till eternity . . .PLS NOTE THAT I REFUSED TO MENTION RAMSEY because PLAYING FOR ARSENAL, THAT GUY IS JUST A WASTEPIPE, NOT BETTER THAN DENILSON IMO Coquelin is no hype and i am not restricting my praise of him to just the game against the Spurs.I have always rated him above Frimpong anyway.A la Wilshere and Josh, there are some kids you watch and you know instantly they've got it. And did you say bench Sczeny? For who?Flappyanski or Manone?Jesus on okada. |

I wonder why everyone's thinking it must be Walcott that must suffer the emergence of Chamberlain. Is there a rule the two can not play together?Especially when playing at home? What has Gervais and Arshavin done to play ahead of Walcott?
Also i think Coquelin,Song and Arteta should be our midfield three. We've deployed Arteta too deep anytime Ramsey's played and i will like to see him play farther the pitch. |
