PeaceJoyLove:

You have asked a serious questions. But what I will say is that most of his works were to be approved by the president, and many weren't The VP is powerless in the constitution. The position is a zombie position. Just waiting for the president to die and he takes over grin. And if that doesnt happen, goodluck to him. Look at Atiku. When OBJ empowered him, he felt too big cos he was the one in charge of privatization and was making huge money. But when OBJ relegated him, OBJ even kept him as the VP and said nothing so that he could win the second term. After he won second term, he didnt bother to sack him, he just sidelined him cos he knows that would render him powerless. If he had sacked him, the whole north would have followed Aiku making him more powerful. He remained the VP and went into oblivion gradually. Its affecting him till date cos he was to be the next after OBJ. He will never be the president of Nigeria.

So, late Abba Kyari tossed away all the plans of the VP. He has just started again after that one died. And talking about doing what is not obsolete, the VP knows that technology is the future it is why one of his focus is in the area. He is really working with Jide Sanwo Olu, the governor of Lagos. Those in tech knows this. Nigeria is one of the biggest (if not the buggest) in Africa. Twitter ban, and other na.sty policies of his boss are undermining the work of the V.P. You can see how the man even quickly talked to the CBN governor after banning crypto currency. See, Buhari knows nothing. He is with an empty brain. Osinbajo has learned to not outshine him, he waited for the crypto ban aggression to die down, and proposed creating Nigerian own crypto. Cos he knows that is the way forward. You cannot kill the likes of Paystack and Flutterwave. Buhari and his men dont get these things.

I am sure he is waiting for the right time to tackle Twitter ban. It is only political reasons Ghana was chosen as the African base of Twitter. They are still coming to Nigeria. I keep telling everyone. Dem no born dem well. Let us just allow this dullard carry himself away from Aso Rock in 2023. GOD allowed him there to show our weaknesses. Buhari is the worst that has happened to Nigeria. The same happened in 1983 to 85. For IBB to have mouth and talk recently...you should know Buhari is a failure. That IBB should be in jail.

The VP must not outshine his master. However, the economic is moved towards digital. Part of his effort is why NIN (digital registration of Nigerians) is successful. I dont have any worry about Pantami the communication minister having any evil agenda cos he is under the VP. Else, that Pantami might even sell our data to the terrorists just like people are saying. grin

Go and read about Osibabjo's effort in digitalizing our system and economic. Also read about his plans with silicon Valley.

Bros, he is preparing for the future. This is why I wish he becomes our president. While the president is after Dangote refinery, and even the petroleum minister announced discovery of huge amount of gas in Nigeria also the construction of railway to Niger so we can tap into the crude oil discovered there means Buhari and his rogues are after obsolete stuff. That's their focus. But the VP is focused on digital economy which is the future. You cannot really see his effort coming out now cos his boss is a dul.lard.

Malami that disrespected Osinbajo knows the VP is right. Malami allowed the agenda of the cabals to cloud his judgment by making the Buni team move ahead when they know it is a faulty foundation which must be addressed fast. They by all means want their own person there. Take note, not necessarily a northern president. But they just want Osinbajo out. This is what you all dont understand. It's not even Tinubu. Tinubu (Jagaban) is not their real headache. This is what many of you guys dont realise. Osinbajo is the real target. And I pray they don't assassinate the man. But when the man put law on paper, Malami went back and he had to quickly deny disrespecting the VP. Both are senior Advocates oooo, but Osinbajo seniors Malami with God gifted brain. Baba is a lawyer, but look at how he has blended into trade, commerce, economics, and even technology. O boy, that is the man we need. He is the president we need. He can even play the dirty and iron game when he has power. He has proved it once. Ngozi Iweala cannot play politics. This is where Osinbajo seniors her. This was why Dasuki tricked Ngozi and got those billions using security as an excuse. You cannot deceive Osinbajo with such. Never! Baba solid kampe.

Thanks for your patience in highlighting these things. The Nigeria of our dreams will come and no cabal will stop it

And that's why "men of principle" are lamenting bitterly today because they have all left The government to illiterateS. Now illiterates tell them how they must run their business and may crumble their businesses and end their lives if they so desire.

you seem objective Sir but can you tell us how the economy have faired in his time as the head of the economic team?
He may be head of economic team, but still answers to the president. Same reasons why you could have a Fashola who did so well as governor become a shadow of himself as minister. You only submit your recommendations to the president. That is one.

Number two, let's take for instance his handling of ease of doing business. He achieved visa on arrival for foreigners coming for business. But with insecurity on the rise, plus where DSS bump into private businesses like hotels and forcefully open rooms where foreigners are lodged, without search warrants, plus other illegalities, do you expect foreign investments to improve?

He should therefore resign if PMB is not allowing him free hand to work. That is how it is done in saner climes. And I'm sure he knows that if he takes that option, he would have written his name in gold.
In saner climes, a resignation is taken seriously and you would lose electoral value, if not impeached.
In saner climes, you win or lose elections By what you say at the debate..
But this is Nigeria. You will be replaced by someone who will play the zombie game more than you and people will collect 1k to say that government is the best thing after fried rice. They will twist the narrative Of your resignation against you. By the time DSS handle you you'll wish you were never in politics

Some months back, I'd say, let have a liberal Southerner as a president. But with what is happening in Nigeria and the way The Gambari Fulanis have been running our dear country and probably hope to continue to run it without backing down, I will say it here that we Southerners don't need a weakling or Liberal, detribalize person as the next president.

We can never make the mistake we made with the very Liberal and gentle Jonathan again. We need a core Tribalist, crude, blunt and stubborn Southerner to correct the damages Bubu and his gang of terrorists have done to our dear nation. It is then after the correction, we can give power to the Middle belt to heal the wound.

But until then, i say no to weak southern president.

.
I'm with you on this bro, but let's be sincere, you think the people in power will hand over power to someone like that?
The people in power are looking for a soft southerner they can trust that won't make them face justice for their crimes.

For example, Recently, they were promoting a bill that will make the president unable to change the service chiefs. Reason am

To what end honestly....just another 8 years of sanity then back to another 8 years of fulani insanity.....Nigerians think too much in the short term. The problem with nigeria isn't the person in charge but the problem is the system that can't hold the person in charge accountable, you can't fix a vehicle by simply changing the driver, the engine has to be fixed or the problems will only persist. It's either restructuring or total division of the country that is the only solution.
I've known some Yoruba dimwits who are speaking against Igboho because they think it would hinder an osinbanjo presidency.....2023 we shall see.
Trust PYO to implement restructuring. The SW group is pro-restructuring, na Buhari cabal no want am

He is there to protect the interest of some sections of the country . Trust me, if he resigns today, the cabal can replace him with a northerner or Muslim, or at best a zombie southerner. He still makes or influences some decisions today. If he leaves today, the south will be underrepresented, and it will be easy to declare war against the south with no one to oppose the cabal

Business / Re: CBN Recovers ₦89 Billion Excess Bank Charges, Others by kayuseful: 7:53am On Aug 06, 2021
The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, represented by the Acting Director, Corporate Communications Department, CBN, Osita Nwanisobi, speaking in Calabar at a 2- day public enlightenment fair, said the amount which was as at June 2021 was based on 23,526 complaints they received from customer bordering on charges and other related matters .
So this figure is even based on customers who complained. What about those who didn't notice the charges?
No wonder our banks keep making huge profits despite recession or lockdown

Sleekfingers:

thats why we need to monitor our accounts........

I remember when i was staying in the UK.......people dont joke with their bank account balance.....banks dare not deduct a penny anyhow......i seen an elderly woman complaining at a bank ,because 50p was deducted from her account..........there was a banker that was caught in the same UK.......he was deducting 50p, 1p, 2p, 10p etc from customers accounts for over 3years.....at the end of the day, he was caught.....he had all ready stole millions of pounds.....by just deducting money not up to one pound for years..........

Nigerians should learn to do that too.....if you dont complain. How do you expect to get your money back....... 35naira, 65 naira etc they are deducting is not a small money......lets say 65naira x 100million people....
Rightly said.

There has to be tougher sanctions against banks found guilty of this too, else they continue to deduct micro amounts and will only refund those who make complaints, of which only a fraction will go that long route

Oh so they are terminating a contract that never existed?
Sports / Re: PUMA Terminates $2.7m Contract With Nigeria Over Olympics Jersey Saga by kayuseful: 9:22am On Aug 05, 2021
NGpatriot:
1. To start with, Pama knew Nigeria won't be wearing their products because Nigeria decided to go with Nigeria and a Nigeria sports apparel company called AFA sports so of what relevance is PUMA's contract termination?

2. The president himself unveiled Nigeria's Olympic team outfit as AFA sports,a Nigerian company with Nigerian workers and the first African apparel company to partner with the Olympics.

3. Below is the CEO of AFA Sports, Ugo Udezue.

4 It's always sad to see Nigerians and the usual suspects insult and abuse their own country for looking out for Nigerians and Nigerian workers.

5. Going with AFA sports means Nigerian workers are making Olympics team uniforms for Nigerians and getting paid to put food on the table here in Nigeria instead of families somewhere in Europe.

6. Hating your own country in favor of another country even when they are doing something good is sickness and kolo mentality.

7. Your own country produced the first sports apparel company to partner with the Olympics in the history of the Olympics and you are still sad, mad and upset, you are sitting here insulting and abusing your i n country when in fact you should be proud.

I applaud Nigeria and the president for making history by allowing a Nigerian company to be the first in African and to keep money and jobs right here in Africa.

I'm 100% other African countries are going to be our next customers.
Why then did you go to sign a contract with puma?
