I agree there is corruption...but if you don't run the power sector profitably....there won't be enough money to pay for improvements and such.

I agree power industry needs more money, but you cannot expect to make returns on investment profitably when you have not invested in improving power availability. You still have a lot of transformers bad and insufficient, generation far below par, but you expect to hike tariff.

Also, we have a region in this country who values power and are willing to pay, plus another who cannot afford it but feels its a social service. Decentralisation will solve this problem, so one group will not keep dragging others backward
