May I also say that I intentionally went to UIDLC administration office at Anibode to confirm before sending my second set of students there and confirmed the NYSC eligibility and same certificate matter. Please help push to front page. |
I run a tutorial centre. I helped some students process admission into UIDLC, in fact, my first set is graduating this year. I picked UI for them because the admission advert I saw right at the front of University of Ibadan indicated that UIDLC graduates are eligible for NYSC and that they would have same certificate with the regular students. Being indigent students, I advised them to go for the programme to enable them work and school simultaneously. The issue is, they have been complaining to me that the NYSC part of DLC is a scam, which was the main reason they picked UIDLC in the first place. One even said he had done JAMB regularisation 3 times without any success of eligibility for NYSC. Another said he had made enquiries from DLC graduates and confirmed that it has been the same story and excuses year after year. Secondly, a recent (2024/2025) graduate of UIDLC attended an interview session where I was one of the interviewees. Going through her papers, I saw a DLC on one of the papers she presented. I enquired further and she also confirmed she was not able to go for NYSC. I need clarification please, especially from the horse's mouth, as I feel like I have failed the students and their parents already. Also, why should such a dichotomy be, as touching the result/certificate? And if all these are true, is there a body I can report these cases to so that my clients can get justice, and most especially, that other aspiring but unsuspecting young applicants can be informed. Thank you. |
God1000:If you still believe Iran is doing this, then you have to have a rethink. look deeper and see Russia behind every sophisticated and high-tech strike. Iran wouldn't have held on this far if not for the Russian massive input. I believe Russia is doing this to silently wrestle world power away from US, and to intentionally decimate a potential world power contestant Israel. |
How I wished I could have people to help here. |
Greetings everyone. I am Ola, a private school teacher, from Ibadan. I want to go into poultry farming as a side business, though I've raised cockerels, layers, broilers and local chicken for subsistence purposes in the past. I want the experts in the house to advise me on which birds to stock for maximum return, considering marketability and other factors. I will like to have a business that can sustain me if I quit my job. I can set aside about 20 to 30k for it monthly. I have a standard room I can use and will not mind building a small pen if need be, outside the 20 to 30k budget, from loan facility. Thank you, as I anticipate your candid responses. |
kings59:Abeg shed more light oo. I want to try something new, as monthly pay job isn't helping me. |

The rose apple will fruit and less than 10% will grow to maturity. My mango trees do flower too, only to wither away completely after few weeks. My citrus trees are yet to flower after 5 years. |
These too.

My apologies if this is wrong under health section. I need your help on how I can heal (treat) my obviously -infected fruit orchard as shown below: I need organic solutions too please. On the coconut tree, the stems and leaves are cutting and rotting half-length. Also, the live stems are being deeply-eaten into. Thanks.

Dear moderators, do help me give this the highest publicity it deserves. You'd be helping to hold a family together by doing so. Thanks. |
I had to come back to the labour market after my boss decided to relocate abroad. I joined her about a year ago. I am a graduate, male, and married with children. I have the qualifications and experience and have worked as a school administrator, insurance officer, ICT officer, banker, and as a coorporate driver, at different times in the past. I have more than 15 years work experience and I am below 40. I'd be so thankful if anyone could help in whatsoever capacity. I am ready to take up a job on either part or full-time basis. Helping me with a car I could use for UBER would go a long way to help too, if the mode of repayment would be reasonable. Thanks. Ola, Ibadan. 08026168642. |

AntiChristian:It sounds so foolish that Jesus Christ (who is a saviour) would have to die (especially on the cross) to perfect our salvation, right? You see, the message of the cross is foolishness to those that will perish but I pray the Lord Jesus Christ himself redeem you from those who will inevitably perish , by his mercy. I pray you meet Jesus soon, my brother. |
snitchbitch:I don't have the cash for that now pls, besides the land isn't mine to start with. Based on my rough calculations, by your option, I'd need about 300k to camp a 2 plot of land. That cash is enough for me to start a better business fah. |
Abfinest007:I will like to know some of the crops goats don't eat naturally pls. |
vimtechs:Don't hesitate to air it pls. |
Enskynelson:Thanks for this. Pls I'd like more information on this from whoever could help. 1. The name of the chemical. 2. Will I have to repeat the spraying each time it rains or it's a one-off application? Won't rain wash it? Thanks. |
I am a fan of agriculture, both livestock and crop farming, and I've practiced both in the past but stopped due to some reasons. As things are, it has become a must for me to go into subsistence agriculture this year, crop farming to be precised. The issue is I'd love people to advise me on what crops to plant that goats, sheep and cows won't eat. I've tried corn, cucumber, cassava and yam in the past with unpalatable experiences. Whoever wishes to help me should forget about asking me to camp the farm, I've had enough of unfruitful efforts as the land isn't mine. The moderators should please help me push this forward for maximum contributions. Thanks. |
Though I've got both friendly and weird memories from different regimes -military to civilian rule, yet, there is one I will never forget. I can still remember the June 12 experience (when I used sawndust stove and mixed the waste gotten from sieved pap with garri to make eba for the first time) like it happened yesterday, neither have I forgotten those in power then. I can still remember very well when we used to play football and basketball on the street of Lagos till very late at night due to the very bright streetlights and assured security, neither have I forgotten the people on power then. I can still remember when firing squads would take armedrubbers to either their schools or family houses with tipperloads of sound, drums and ropes to kill them. I've not forgotten the people in power too. I can still vividly remember the first time I heard it announced on radio by NEPA that there would be a power outage in some arrears, reason, duration and when to expect power restored. Geisha, sardines and condensed milk days, I can go on and on, even to the one who donated her family on behalf of ten million naira to her fellow widows while her husband lives. The weirdest memory which keeps coming and coming was the one I experienced under bubu, which goes thus: There's a memory I'm finding so difficult to get off my mind each time I hear "BU..." After returning from NYSC in April 2015, I went to the popular Bodija Market in Ibadan to get foodstuffs in bulk, and at wholesales prices. Among other things, I could remember I bought a pail of garri (usually called garawa, which contained 10 moulds) at ₦300. This means a mould (which contains 10 cups) was ₦30. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was the president then, though Bubu had won the election but yet to be sworn in. Fastforward to December same year under a new president Bubu who was just about 6 months in office. I went to the same market to buy stuffs as usual and bought the same garawa of garri at ₦1000, meaning a mould was sold for ₦100. I felt bad and thought we had had the worst, not knowing the same garawa would soon rise to ₦5000, placing a mould at ₦500 from the market which sells the cheapest price. In fact, a milk cup of garri was sold at the rate of ₦65 per one for those who couldn't afford to go to Bodija. You may need to share yours for us to both learn and laugh off this tension. |

I did my best as a Polling Officer as an INEC ad-hoc staff and rejected bribes from Omi guys in Osun State and ensured your mandate was not stollen under my watch, yet, you are here making life unbearable... Can we all see injustice of the highest order? We southerners have the best land for farming, the Lord favors us with right climatic conditions at the right time, we have young and vibrant graduates who are ready to venture into agriculture, our forefathers set pace for us in agriculture and we have the best universities to learn agriculture and agroallied business. ....yet, we find ourselves in this mess of depending on the north for food...what a shame! North ruined our agriculture by overgrazing our farmlands, by killing our farmers whenever they try to stop them, by rapping or maiming our women who engage in food processing, by making our villages inhabitable, by polluting our waters, etc. I was curious to enquire and was informed you dare not graze cattle on farmlands in the north when it is time to farm, to the extent that whoever try it would be catapulted to death or be made to pay for damages in multiple folds, here, they cheat us and still kill us, now we have to beg our enemies for food. However, God will judge everyone who put us in this mess, ati ota ile ati ota ode. well, if it not well, it is not yet the end. |
So the Priests couldn't gather to give ultimatum to those looting our treasury and curse them after, but are fast to do so now? I pray their children should be among the guys their curses will affect. Why can't they gather to curse the number one person who is making life unbearable for us all by his actions and inactions. |
