Yes, I am a DAAD Scholar.

Thank you very much for this information.

Can she use the temporary residence Permit I have as well?

She can use your temporary residence permit . The most important thing is to give her the letter given to you by daad . Every other is not so relevant

Hi, my wife got an appointment for March 10 to join me here in Germany. I am studying on a scholarship and we got a support letter from the scholarship body already.

Is the payment of 150k for document verification compulsory for everyone? Although when I was leaving Nigeria, the embassy collected my Marriage certificate during my application and gave it back to me when I got my original documents. Also, what are the documents they could be verifying for my wife?

Is there anything I need to do here in Germany to fast-track her processes?

At the moment, I have done my residence permit but I have not received my card, my visa is still valid till the end of March and I have the temporary resident permit given to me at the immigration office, can my wife use the temporary residence permit for her application?

You mentioned scholarship? If your a daad scholar, then your wife won't do verification. No need to pay 150k . Her visa process will be faster than others .mostly 2 weeks after interview

My story is so crazy.
I got an offer (Blue Card Visa) from a German Company and I applied to the embassy here in Doha in Oct 2020 and did the interview that same month(29th).
Everything went well but they stopped the process because my Nigerian passport expires in May 2021 and they need it to have at least 9months validity.
I have applied for passport renewal here in Nigerian Embassy Doha but its looking like I cannot get it. they are still expecting the immigration people from Nigeria.

The company has been patient with me and are still patient but I don't know how long. I have been working remotely since August

is it possible to renew passport via proxy? because travelling down to Nigeria to renew this passport is so expensive.

I will spend like 800,000 naira for flight ticket,3covid tests (from Doha, Nigeria airport, and coming back), and hotel quarantine.

This is sick. its a crime being a Nigerian...

Is there a way I can FastTrack the process in German Embassy Nigeria?

Count yourself lucky to be applying from Doha. U even have an option to fly to Nigeria and your wasting time . Some people don't have this choice cos if they do, they will be willing to spend even more than that just to get that visa . German embassy in Nigeria is not even an option for u at all

There is a new visa application form? Please someone should help share

The one i saw had 2017 on it and this is 2020, so I thought there will be a new form. Moreover, the naira has depreciated drastically, so i do not know how much the application and verification fee will be now

Yes. We started the language course first week of August and will be ending it in the last week of September.

You don't need a language course if your spouse is in DAAD scholarship. You don't need it

Hi kciano, can you please chat me up here? Thanks.

I know that appointment usually take 10months but yours was different because of DAAD. So I want to know how embassy knew your a DAAD scholar when applying for appointment. Did you email them and told them this or did DAAD notified them on your behalf?

According to the German embassy Lagos office website, family visit is allowed for third country national . But in there are no place to book visiting visa appointments.

Got my family reunification visa appointment for the 21 of July, my heart beats because I did not make the cut off for A1 language certificate test and the second exam I enrolled for would have come before my canceled appointment in March, and now my appointment came before the exam date. Does anyone have idea what my case would possibly be like?

This is so sad because of how hard it is to get appointment this days. if your husband has Blue card. You dont need the language certificate

You can sort out student insurance after your admission is sure. Insurance is only for enrollment and doesn't affect admissions. APPLICATIONS FOR DAAD scholarship for this winter ended November last year.

It's so unfortunate the way the system here favours cramming. To all ye Crammers in the house, fear not!

exaclty my brother,,crammers and fast writers get excellent grade..they exam gives ur final score here...unlike canada system that exam is just few percentage to ur total score

so does it means one can't make an excellent grade there in Germany?
and agn for their grading,I know that to get an A is 90% but isn't this attainable?
many doesn't wanna come to Germany for money during studies but to become some1 beta after studies.
pple only talk abt student work here.
what about job prospect after studies?
how can 1 also graduate with good grades?
I'm actually coming for undergraduate by Gods grace.

Please try and read every word i said...check the bolded.. i said it depends on a lot of things...it is attainable but going to class and reading alone wont gurranttee u 1.0.. now look at it this way...have u ever read so much and u enter exam hall..u will know the answers but u wont have time to write what u know? some courses are like that...some lectures make sure they ask every thing they teach you and 2 hours is not enough to write it down and if u claim u r a fast writer... u will miss out some point while answering the questions which would make u loose one or 2 marks and those marks u loose means a lot here...check i said earlier ,,the gap between 2.0 , 2.3, 2.5 , 2.7..3.0 are not much....in the german market..they value mostly from 1.0 - 2.0

This is totally true, the courses are so easy here to be candid, but the problem will be you as a student, when you miss one class just one class, the chance of failing is already 70 percent. And you have to do much work to get by. I am very certain of this because I saw it in this semester exams. I don't know if the lecturers know those who doesn't come to class and those who does , which I am sure that they don't. But they seem to always fail. Maybe it is magic.

i think at this point let me try to point out something..for u to get good grade here 1. depends on your course 2. does not depend on the amount of classes you attend 3.depends mostly on your ability to study their pattern of questions.
if u like read the pages of ur material from back to front and attend all classes..u will fail like an idiot.

mind you for those claiming they are getting good grade..anything below 2.0 is not good grade to me and for you to get 2.5 and above is not beans. there was a course a wrote very well and i was thinking i smashed it behold..i didnt even make up to 2.5.... when i saw my script.. i did very well but little mistake which didnt not end up giving me full mark made me loose like 1 or 2 marks...and in this place 0.5 means a lot to your GP ..the gap between 2.3, 2.5, 2.7 are not much ..it can be just one mark that would make u fall to 3.0 so please people that come here and talk how beautiful their result is should tell the truth... dont come here and tell me what i know...... to me coming to germany means either 2 things..either you get the result or the money...the result is not a guarranttee if u like read from morning to night and dont work ...so trade carefully whehn you come here thinking that its easy to smash 1.0 ... 3.0 here is like making a B in Nigeria education which is like making 62% and above... bis bald

hello everyone and all the gurus in the houses, thanks for all the wonderful contributions over the years.
please is there anyone applying for the 2016 winter ecm or cme masters courses in offenburg university of applied science, or already applied in the past. in applying through the OASIS online stage one of application, what does the referral mean, then is reference letter required and also among the documents to be scanned.
please i need to know because i'm currently in my school in uniport for my transcript and supposed to be going back to lagos on monday/tuesday to continue my goethe classes. i need to get everything i would need before traveling cause i won't like to come back here because of any other requirement along the registration. thanks

bros i dont know y u borther yourself with asking if reference letter is required or not..since u r already in uniport..y not collect reference letters from ur professors now u have the chance.. weather the school asked for it or not ..just upload it..it is an added advantage to u.. u dont need to ask such questions.....anything that would make u gain admission.,..just upload it plssss.

Bros, how is Magdeburg naaa? how the City be? Are the peepole friendly? How studies na?? How the course-work, Is it what you expected? Is it easier than 9ja? More difficult? How you dey cope with Language Sometimes I say to myself why I didnt swap Magdeburg for Hamburg. I dunno if I made the right call.

my man magdeburg is cool...the people are friendly unlike what i heard but atimes the racism group springs up but they have anti racism groups that counter them always...the course work is the similar as what i did in FUTO.. i thought FUTO was stressing me, I neva knew they were training me for the future...the only difference here is that they haVe a different symbol in the normal chemical equations which we know in nigeria, so when u study it, u will adjust.. the only thing here is that you have so many things to read and crime too.. u will read and also crime cos they know u cant finish the questions within 2 hours, so speed ,matters ..imagine deriving and applying hundreds of equations similar to Arrhenius equations, runge kutta 4th order and raoults law and doing like 4 iterations in 2 hours? is it beans? so answser the questions .....is it easier in 9ja?, the language is a barrier everywhere in terms of job.. magdeburg is the capital city so most people speak english unlike my friend kelvinpalm wey dey complain about his city say if u no sabi speak german ..u r dead.. so i anser the question ..... did u make the right call?

Before I hit the street, I had a strong feeling I should drop something here for my brothers and sisters here.
there is no new thing to add here all questions have been delt with by Gurus but I would like to stress the language issues....atleast God has helped us thus far 3 years is no joke in foreign land PLEASE specially for team winter 2016... go register for language class be it
My brother it seems u were the one I heard about in magdeburg...anyway plss come back and guide ur boy....when I was in Nigeria I read ur post couple of times but I neva knew u were studying in magdeburg... bis bald

Goethe or private lessons, online lesson or self teaching is not enough to learn Deutsch....let me share a joke: A friend of mine(Nigerian) bought a soap at Penny, he's been using the soap for a long time not until we were in the same room at a conference I saw the soap in th bathroom...I first thought it was the hotel that provides the soap but I was wondering why should hotel provide two hand soaps, I then asked him who has the second soap it was for him, he was even praising the manufacturer that I could see his skin had changed, immediately I told him he had been using "handseife" not "Dusche".....in a not shell it is important to learn the language.

I would like to advise those who just entered Deutschland and for those coming in for summer semester.....I know most of your expectations were or yet to be met (the sucking of block account, the jobs......) but I have a good news for you it would still come I can assure that let your feet stand very well and understand the system ( be careful with the heater in your room for now and signing of contracts) do not listen to those bros who will be boosting of 20 years in Deutschland, you are not the same, they came in through Asylum they do not have idea of German education system....I will beg you join our facebook group (Nigerian Scholars in Germany) some great guys are there, they are willing to help you in difficulties...lastly you might face racism or stereotyping in school, class or shops, please do not jump into conclusion that "germans are racist" racism and stereotyping is everywhere even in Nigeria, for example people tell you he's an igbo, he's yoruba, hausas are illiterate.....and so on, treat racism and stereotyping as individual case....

For the team winter 2016, take your time to read threads from page 1-till the end as it would really help you, I want to prophesy into someone's life....You have been seeing good news here and you been asking God when is mine coming, the Lord that brought me here without no block account or sponsorship or scholarship, He's still alive, He would do it! Don't be depressed but press forward, hold on hope and faith....and when God has done it please do not cover the glory of God, share the good news here as it would encourage others.

Lastly I want to thank every one who has contributed in this thread, Eke40seven(took me time to decode d nam grin grin grin) hope to see you in Munchen when I come around, Oye50 I tualle sir, My friend Nevillebolt(awon ti Frankfurt, money city), Crowns2, hollaytan, Kciano...I hope to seee you in Magdeburg in January.

Merry Christmas!
Fröhliche Weihnachten!

Peace out!

Learn German for your own sake! you might shit yourself if you fail. Make a huge effort to learn it in Nijja. It will save you money and help you in your day to day activities no matter how little you grab. Moreover, you will have no time to do whatever language course when you get here because the workload in school is more than too much and do not forget you may want to work. (speaking from personal experience, maybe somebody else somewhere finds its easy).
So many are frustrated here in Bremen because they cannot fit into most job opportunities.
There are jobs but forget most of them if you have no German knowledge. If you be street man you go do agidi follow dem bumper2bumper. Dem no born satan well for your matter but If you be Ajebutter, kindly ask your parents to double the normal block account money for your case because after only 3months you begin see 5ksomething as your available balance.
Someone I know went for a packaging interview and the Interviewer fired away in German. PACKAGING OO!. He lost and went home.
