But, the likes of Pa Adebanjo who Tinubu’s urchins are now insulting picked Bola Tinubu over the most popular Late Funsho Williams to be AD candidate for Lagos state and it was a sure bet that whoever was AD candidate would become Lagos state governor Pa Adebanjo and other NADECO members and Afenifere leaders traded Late Funsho Williams a more popular, more urban and polish man for Tinubu. That was how Bola Tinubu became the Lagos state governor in 1999 under AD. After 8 years as the governor of Lagos state, the man who came from exile to be governor suddenly became a multibillionaire who owns TV station, Newspaper house, string of shopping complexes, a multi billion 5 start hotel and housing estates in Lagos to the point that he is refer to as the biggest landlord in Lagos. Ask any of his followers to explain to you Tinubu’s source of wealth and they will start insulting you. How did a man who came back to Nigeria from exile after the death of Abacha became a multi billionaire after 8 years as a governor? Even Bill Gates did not become a billionaire within 8 years and Dangote can never tell you that he became a billionaire within 8 years. What was Tinubu’s source of income before he became the governor of Lagos state and how did he come about his billions after 8 years in office? These are the questions Nigerians are not asking and these are the question Tinubu and his followers cannot answer.
