AsomughaChuks05: It was alleged that Peter Obi ordered that man to be tortured so that he could confess the truth about the human heads found in his upper class hotel. But the man has denied having human heads in his hotel. Well, Peter Obi demolished the hotel anyway. Instead of blaming the SARS commander who was merely carrying out orders, why not blame the man who ordered your torture and demolished your hotel?
Our attention has been drawn to one Exparte order said to have been obtained from National Industrial Court by Kwara state government to stop the proposed statewide strike actions by organised labour tomorrow following government refusal to implement the N30, 000 minimum wage .
While we remain law abiding entity which holds the judiciary in high esteemed , we wish to reiterate that the proposed strike action will proceed tomorrow ,Tuesday, 13th October, 2020 as agreed during our joint meetings which was held today where all industrial unions including NLC, TUC and NJC were signatories.
For the sake of emphasy we want to state categorically that #30,000 Minimum wages Agitation is a Constitutional matter which had passed through all legislative processes and assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
To this end, the exparte order obtained from NIC is an infringements on Labour rights to peaceful agitation and such cannot stand.
The National Industrial Court in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, on Monday granted an exparte order restraining the labour unions in Kwara State from proceeding on an industrial strike over disagreements on the signing and implementation of the minimum wage.
Granted by Justice D.K. Damulak of the Akure Division of the Industrial Court, the order came as the labour unions directed its members to proceed on an indefinite strike from Tuesday unless the government accedes to its requests.
The ex parte order has been served on the labour unions in Ilorin, the state capital, on Monday afternoon.
The government has repeatedly said it was willing to pay the minimum wage based on a table that its resources can accommodate without halting its delivery of infrastructure and public services to the rest of the population. It added that the local government should also be allowed to negotiate what it can afford based on its financial capacity, warning that insisting on the state signing any agreement that binds the local governments to the state's own table would bankrupt the third tier of government and lead to arrears of unpaid salaries.
The labour however insists that the state government must sign the same minimum wage agreement for the state and local government workers.
In an affidavit filed at the industrial court in the suit No NICN/AK/53/2020, the government is asking whether it was lawful for it to sign an agreement affecting Local government workers when it is not in control of Local Govt finances nor expending its funds.
The case was instituted by the Attorney General of Kwara State as Plaintiff while the defendants include the Nigeria Labour Congress; Trade Union Congress; Joint Negotiation Committee; Aliyu Issa Ore (State NLC Chairman), Ezekiel Adegoke (State TUC Chairman); and Saliu Suleiman (JNC Chairman).
The court, among other things, granted an order of interim injunction restraining the “defendants/ respondents jointly and severally by themselves, their agents, servants, employees, workmen, privies or authorities how so ever described from declaring any strike or industrial action or embarking on the planned industrial action of any nature effective on the 12th and/or 13th day of October, 2020 or at any other date pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.”
It also granted an order restraining the defendants from taking further steps in respect of the subject matter of the suit pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice and another order for substituted service of the originating summons and any order of the court.
The government is asking the court to declare that the local government is a separate tier of government with its own financial autonomy and which wages could not be determined by the state government, irrespective of some oversight powers the state government may have on them — just as the federal government also has some oversight powers on the states.
The case may go down in Nigerian history as the first of such which seeks to assert the financial autonomy and quasi-independence of the local government as a tier of government.
The court has adjourned to October 20 to hear the motion.

Gistusmore: Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has justified President Buhari's comparism of fuel price in Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, in his Independence day speech.
Recall that Buhari in his Independence day speech said “We sell petrol at N161 per litre when same is sold at N168 per litre in Saudi Arabia; N211 per litre in Egypt; N362 per litre in Ghana; N362 per litre in Chad, and N346 per litre in Niger Republic. It does not make sense for petrol to be cheaper in Nigeria than Saudi Arabia."
The President's speech ignited controversy as critics insisted that Saudi Arabia have a higher minimum wage, standard of living and infrastructure than Nigeria.
Lai Mohammed however defended the Nigerian leader while featuring in a Radio Nigeria current affairs programme, “Radio Link’’ in Abuja on Saturday October 3. He said;
In a century where technology rules in the affairs of man, it’s somewhat difficult believing the existence of some spirits in the midst of man.
However, the spirits regardless of how advanced we are as a people do exist and play huge roles in the affairs of man and woman. These spirits both foul and positive play influential roles in the lives of man.
According to 29-year-old Bernice Nija, the spirits play a vital role in her life giving her the best sexual feeling but translates into a sordid life in the physical world.
To Bernice, life after a night of sexual fun with what she describes as a spirit husband has been turbulent. She says” I’ve had to go through several stages in my life with this spirit. I’ve lost two marriages just because of this spirit and my life has been moving from bad to worse in my twenty-nine years journey”.
Ordinarily, mothers help in fighting these spirits when they haunt their children but for Bernice, her mother seems to be the brain behind it.
She says her mother has boldly told her that she was destined for prostitution and if she does not succumb to her calling of being the girl of the night, her life will continue to be adverse with dwindling fortunes.
“My mother has mentioned on several occasions that I should forget about getting a husband because she brought me to this earth to practice prostitution. I’ve tried my best with life by engaging in things that will not push me “
“Lucky for me, after several years of suffering, I finally was introduced to my father who has been abroad for some time and is well to do. We spoke severally on phone and was given the assurance of a good life. However, I did not hear from my father again and the numerous promises made to me just went with the wind,” she said about a period in her life when she thought she had a window of hope and a life-changing opportunity.
After several struggles with life in the Volta region and left with four children with no husband, Bernice has moved to Accra where she sells water for a living and has to sleep on some benches with one of her children who is four years old.
Until heavens smile, Bernice is not hopeful of a breakthrough in her life.
Desmondum: Lol...av written it on Tech section but no contribution yet. That's why u see it here and we all know Nairalanders are more active on Romance. No vex
ImaIma1: As a parent, I won't tell my child to accept only inexpensive gifts shared at birthdays and reject the expensive ones. How is the child to know which one is expensive.
What am I teaching her? To despise expensive items and only be open to receiving cheap or average things?
This is obviously not about the child but about the parent's inferiority complex and insecurities...already being intimidated by other's wealth.
No one is asking that you must reciprocate in like manner. There are more thoughtful affordable items that can be shared that would even be more appreciated than the ps4.
No need for parents to feel intimidated and extend it to their children.
Do not get me wrong, its the duty of the parent not the child to choose what is acceptable or not. Remember the child is young and will form opinion based on what comes their ways. Teach your child wealth is earned not gifted.

Radarada! They ll still torture themselves with Love Machine o! Why not just accept Gods natural order instead of creating a situation that always end in tears las las.
ImaIma1: That is left to the parents to regulate but many parents have failed in that area. Even the gifts that the parents themselves buy for their children can influence their conduct.
So it has nothing to do with who gives the gift but how the parents can make sure the gifts do not have a negative influence on the children.
My dear sister when your children start getting gifts you can not afford you are courting serious trouble. As a parent you have the enormous responsibility to reduce the negative influence of the society on your child. It start from knowing to teach your child what gift is acceptable and which are not and letting them know why.
ImaIma1: What does this even mean? That life operates on gifts? Most of us grew up sharing gifts and receiving them. Did it makes us think life operates on gifts?
We have to make sure we teach our children the most important values and they will grow up with them so that they will have the sense to know that working hard for their money and receiving gifts are two different things.
Let's not as parents, make a wrong judgement based on our own bias and mindset and impose it on our children. God will gives us wisdom
Sharing gift differs according to circumstances. In this case I m totally not in support where gift sharing influences conducts.
ImaIma1: What is wrong with your child accepting it? Is it because it is expensive? What if it was the regular bubbles blower, writing materials, crayon, ribena? Will you refuse that? Are people appalled to expensive things?
I might not be able to afford that kind of gift now but if it is shared in my child's class as long as didn't steal or beg for it, it will be appreciated like any other gift.
Simple, I don't want my child to think life operates on gift. Thanks sir
bukatyne: Funny how people shouting 'poverty mentality', 'inferiority complex' etc. are actually the ones exhibiting it.
It takes guts and principle to return such a gift.
What I expect from the OP is to graduate from the Naija way by telling his daughter why he decided to return the gift and using that as a father - daughter bonding session teaching morals and values.
It is only 'I never chop' that accepts everything that comes their way.
Perhaps there might have been a less aggressive way to handle the situation like talking to the Proprietary staff and teachers without returning it, he took a stance and acted it out.
When according to his training manual he feels it right for his daughter to have a PS4 or latest version out, she will.
There was a thread on Oloshoism amongst young ladies today. It started from somewhere.
Proud of this of post. I m sorry for present generation that thought all gift is acceptable. Until they poison their children before they understand caution.
Bj5all: This man has a serious mental problem. If someone gift you a car or a modern house, you will reject it because you can afford to reciprocate the kind gesture?
Hisssss, in your mind you have done something noble and worthy of praise?
I pity your children.
I pity your generation and your hand out mentality.
atiku4President: You are entitled to your opinion. However, I doubt if you have any; hence you have quickly resorted to insults. I doubt if you understand the way the minds of children work. Perhaps, when you have one, you will learn the hard way.
motherlode: Teaching good precepts... Well, it all depends!
To all of you shouting Poverty mentality... I really do hope you understand that as parents, you are obliged to train your own child the best way you deem fit. The OP has done his own part for the sake of nurturing his child in the way and manner he deems fit... Do your own part for your children, it will all tell in the future.
Receiving the birthday gift isn't the problem here... I think the major problem here is the fact that the gift made the OP look like he couldn't have appreciated his own child more than someone else did.
The mind of that child at such infant age isn't well developed enough to understand the consequential damages that can happen. It's then up to the parent to show the child that parental love is much more valuable than the PS4 itself!
Most of them don't even have family not to talk of children
SUPERPACK: It is simple, get a better speaker around 10 in number and blast gospel songs at a higher volume than theirs at the exact time their prayer call starts. Madness can easily be cured by another madness.
StagethemTVee: Birds of a feather do flock together as an angry Elite agreed Laycon would be winning the 85 million naira prize money but went on to lay curses on him just like their role model did. This is what you get when a bunch of bitter and broken people form a clan. Here they are supporting one female who has no idea of their existence while cursing another female that has not yet even been born.

Throwback: 5 Solomon Dalung’s WTF Moments We Will Never Forget August 24, 2020 Titi Williams 0 Comments Nigeria Sport, Solomon Dalung Please help our ministry by sharing this content
Post Views: 7 0 () There are only a few legends in Nigeria, and Solomon Dalung, Nigeria’s former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, is among them.
When Solomon Dalung was at the center of sport administration in Nigeria, he gave us some WTF moments that made all Nigerians home and abroad proud.
Dalung was one of the Ministers that turned things around in this nation, no wonder things have not been as interesting as they used to be when Dalung was in charge.
Truly miss Solomon Dalung, and today, we are throwing back to some memorable things the former Minister did and said when he was in charge”
1) He wore one Uniform throughout his tenure as a Minister
Solomon Dalung doesn’t spend unnecessarily on clothes, he only wore his Khaki uniform and topped it with his customary red beret; a very frugal man.
His then Special Adviser, Nneka Ikem said, ‘’Dalung is a staunch activist who cares for the welfare of the masses. His wears portray the struggle for the government to provide a better life for the people.
2) He never expect anything good from women footballers
Solomon Dalung is also a man who expresses his thought and feelings with an innocence of a child. In 2016 when the Super Falcons won the African Women Championship and the Sport Ministry failed to pay the players all their bonuses and allowances, Solomon Dalung said,
Funny Things Nigerians Share As Souvenirs At Owambe “Don’t forget that nobody even knew the team would emerge victorious, if we were confident they will emerge victorious, all the Federation would have done is to plan for process of participation and entitlement.”
If all Nigerians can just imbibe this man’s childishness, our country will be great.
3) Solomon Dalung visited Gongola State in 2016
According to Wikipedia, Gongola State is a former administrative division of Nigeria. It was created on 3 February 1976 from Adamawa and Sardauna Provinces of North State, together with the Wukari Division of the then Benue-Plateau State; it existed until 27 August 1991, when it was divided into two states – Adamawa and Taraba.
Dalung was busy fighting for human rights to be aware that Gongola State no longer exist
On April 6, 2016 Solomon Dalung posted pictures from a football match he attended at an IDP camp where he referred to the state he went to as ‘Gongola State’. He said,
“I attended a football match between Internally Displaced Persons IDPs of Gongola State and footballers from the Diplomatic Community yesterday to mark the United Nations International Day of Sports for Peace and Development”
4) Solomon Dalung Said the World Cup is too corrupt for Nigeria to participate in
Before Solomon Dalung became the Sport Minister, Nigeria had participated in 5 FIFA world cup tournaments, but the Minister said participating in a FIFA World Cup competition was a total waste of time and resources. His reason was that we will never win the world, so why participate in what you know you don’t stand a chance to win? What a great logic!
He also said the competition is too corrupt for a country like Nigeria who doesn’t understand what corruption is. He said: That competition stinks of corruption; Nigeria is too poor to waste money on it. The cup that we can win is the African Cup of Nations. There is
Lamanii22: That attitude is rather childish to me.. Why do you guys act arrogant towards your ex(es)?? Do y'all still have feelings for 'em? Or y'all just wanna get noticed? I need answers...
