Having used the word of Christ to purify ourselves, we should then ask Jesus to release divine life or fullness of the Deity or living water into our beings, so that we resurrect from mortal to immortality. 1Co. 15:53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” Any person who does not believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ has no chance of making the first resurrection. |

From my last three posts, we can see that Ezekiel 37:4-10, Ephesians 25:25-27 and Revelation 12:10-11 are about resurrection of the saints. Ez. 37:4-10 presents two steps to resurrection: speaking the word of God to the candidate for resurrection and speaking the word of God to the Rock or Holy Spirit (Nu. 20:8 ) so that the Rock will release living water into the candidate for resurrection. Sufficient amount of living water in a person causes resurrection. Ez. 37:4-10 doesn't know about the rapture; neither does it know the role of the death of Jesus Christ. Ep. 5:25-27 presents only being united with Jesus Christ in his death and speaking the word of God to the candidate for resurrection as all that required for resurrection and rapture. Re. 12:10-11, like Ep. 5:25-27, also presents redemption by the blood of Jesus and speaking word of God to the candidate for resurrection as the only requirements for resurrection and rapture. Note that Re. 12:11 indicates that it is the candidate for resurrection that will speak the word of God. From these three passages of Scripture, I conclude that the following are the requirements for resurrection and rapture. 1. Redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ, which is obtained by being baptized into Jesus Christ in water and in the Spirit. 2. The candidate, who is already in Christ, purifies herself/himself by speaking and applying God's promises to herself/himself. 2Pe. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 3. The candidate also speaks God's word relating to resurrection to the Rock, asking for the release of living water into her/him. |

How did these saints of God manage to overcome sin and other hindrances in the world in order to qualify for resurrection and rapture? They overcame the spirit behind sin by two things: 1) the blood of Jesus; 2) Word of their testimony. |

Kei144:Even though Ep. 5:25-27 is part of Apostle Paul's admonition to husband's and wives, it actually describes the requirements for rapture. Since rapture must be preceded by resurrection, the passage therefore also describes the requirements for the resurrection. Ep. 5:25 presents the first requirement for resurrection, which is that the candidate for resurrection must have been united with Jesus Christ in his death (Ro. 6:3-4). Ep. 5:26 presents the second requirement, which is that the candidate for resurrection must become pure in heart by washing with water through the word. As a result of this spiritual cleansing, just before the resurrection, the candidate is without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. |

Kei144:Ez. 37:4-10 is about the resurrection of Israel. But, people from every nation, tribe, people and language of the world will join Israel in the resurrection. Breaking the Power of Sin and Picking Up the Sword of Victory Kathi Pelton, Portland, OR Many years ago, I learned the power of praying the Scriptures aloud. When I was a new Believer, the Holy Spirit instructed me to spend an extended period of time reading aloud all 150 psalms each day. I was to personalize them and make them my prayers and my worship. That season of obedience set me free from things that had enslaved me. It renewed my mind, and it released the power of prayer and the power of His Word into my life. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires." His Word became the sword of freedom in my life. It held the power to break me free from old mindsets and from wrong beliefs that held me captive. It renewed my mind and taught me the ways of God. Praying His Word set me free from the slavery of sin, and I will never stop using it to give me life and allow His power to purify my thoughts and desires. This past month I have been praying through the Book of Romans. When I awoke this morning, the Spirit said to me, "Romans is a book of freedom from sin. It is a sharp sword that will set people free as they pray and decree its words over their lives." Right then, Romans chapter six was highlighted to me and I knew that I was to write it down and change the wording to a personal declaration for people to declare aloud. Your voice and words have power. Proverbs 18:21 says that your tongue carries both life and death. It is time for life to be released through your voice! Let Heaven hear it. Let Hell hear it. Let angels and demons hear it. Let your soul and spirit hear your tongue declare life and truth. I strongly encourage you to get somewhere that you can read aloud the personalized version of Romans 6 that I have written below. Pray it, declare it, and join yourself to its truth. It is time for the power of sin to be broken off of the lives of Believers. A sword has been put in our hands and the power of life flows from our mouth; together they set the captives free. Psalm 149:6 says, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand." It is time to be free and to set free! His Word is powerful and it is your sword. To live without it is to live as a warrior with no weapon in your hand. The time for the resurrection of Israelites has arrived. The first step to resurrection is the preparation of the person that will be resurrected to be able to receive fullness of the Spirit of God. It is the fullness of the Spirit that causes resurrection. Mt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Ps. 24:3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? Ps. 24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. [Or swear falsely] A person must have a pure heart in order to receive fullness of the Holy Spirit. Purification of the heart begins with baptism into Jesus Christ, in water and in the Spirit. It is then followed with cleansing by washing with water through the word (Ep. 5:26). Jn. 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Jn. 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. As we can see in Ezekiel 37, it takes a prophet to prophecy to both the candidate of resurrection and the power of resurrection (Holy Spirit). Who can function as the prophet? Anyone who has some measure of the Holy Spirit can function as the prophet; possession of the fullness of the Spirit makes the prophet to be more effective. When Jesus cleansed his apostles through words that he spoke to them, he possessed the fullness of the Spirit. The words to be spoken by the person functioning as the prophet must be promises of God. 2Pe. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. |

In the second step, God commands the prophet to prophecy to the breath; the prophet therefore called on the breath to breathe into the human bodies that are ready to receive life. The breath is the Rock of God; the Holy Spirit, the arm of God. When the breath comes in, resurrection takes place. |

Jesus is an example of the path that every person that God will adopt as His son must follow. The person's journey as a son of God begins with baptism into the Spirit of God. The person then goes through purification by washing with water through the word (Ep. 5:26). When the person's heart becomes pure through the purification, God gives the fullness of the Spirit. It is the fullness of the Spirit that does the resurrection (Ro. 1:4). Shortly after resurrection comes ascension to heaven. Because of a great move of God that will begin around this year's Easter, a lot of people (the wise virgins of Matthew 25) will receive fullness of the Spirit; they will be resurrected in the land of the living. These are the ones who will make rapture from the land of the living, |

In Jeremiah 44, those Israelites had gone deep into the idolatry of Egypt. God warned them to refrain from idol worship, but they refused and openly voiced out their refusal. God disconnected them from His name and idol worship became their only religion. God pronounced that almost all the Isrealites that went down to Egypt would die in Egypt. Their descendants would not bother to go back to Judah since Africa was the only place they knew. God had pronounced that He would punish these Israelites with sword, famine and plague. As these Israelites faced the sword, famine and plague, they migrated beyond the land of Cush. They eventually reached the rain forest region of what is now known as Nigeria and finally settled among the aboriginal people there. Due to extensive intermarriage with the aboriginal people, today they are indistinguishable from other Africans. In the mid-1990s, towards the end of each year, some white evangelists were holding Christian workshops in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. They proclaimed that the whole world is waiting for Nigeria. God later made me to understand that the whole world is waiting for the Israelites in Nigeria. God deliberately disconnected Nigeria’s Israelites from the world Jewry, so that they would not be contaminated by the religious beliefs of the world Jewry. For centuries, these hidden Israelites were buried in total idol worship, even though they maintained adherence to ancient hebrew culture. Towards the end of the 19th century, European missionaries began to reach the hidden Israelites with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is very interesting that Zephaniah 3 (Old Testament) says that Israelites residing in Nigeria, who believe in Jesus as the Christ, will spearhead the purification of the peoples of the world. |

The Promise is for Israelites Ro. 9:3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race, Ro. 9:4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Whatever promise God has made is primarily to the Israelites. But God has always allowed gentiles to join the Israelites in the enjoyment of the fulfillment of God’s promises. When God rescued Israel out of Egypt, some Egyptians left Egypt with the Israelites and journeyed to the Promised Land with them. Those Egyptians became assimilated into Israel, forever. There is this misconception that the rapture will take the gentile church out of the world so that God will turn His attention to Israel. Unfortunately, the rapture is actually the fulfillment of God’s promise of resurrection to Israel (Ezekiel 37). Israelites will always be at the forefront of the fulfillment of any of God’s promises. The gentiles can join the Israelites in enjoying the fulfillment. The promise of adoption as sons of God and the promise of divine glory belongs to Israel; but the gentiles are allowed to join in the fulfillment. The gentiles can never go first. Ro. 11:15 For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? Ro. 11:16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. Descendants of Israelites of old will be the first people to be filled with fullness of the Spirit in this end time. The first set of Israelites to be filled with the fullness of the Spirit become the firstfruits. This will mark the acceptance of Israel by God and will lead to resurrection and rapture of the people of God. Ro. 11:16 makes it clear that it is only after the firsfruits of Israel has been made perfect that Christians from different parts of the world can become perfect by receiving the fullness of the Spirit. The firstfruits of Israel are the 144,000 Israelites. They together form the woman of Revelation 12. The ministry of the woman of Revelation 12 will make a lot of people perfect. |

Misconceptions by some Christians Christians understand that at the time of the rapture those to be snatched up to heaven will suddenly be changed from mortal to immortality, when the trumpet sounds. But the problem is with their understanding of which kind of Christians that will be so transformed. A lot of Christians believe that the typical “born again” Christians of today will experience the sudden transformation. Such Christians believe that the trumpet could sound right now and the born-agains will be whisked up to heaven. The big problem with this understanding is that nature does not allow discontinuity or sudden change. In the Parable of the ten virgins, the foolish virgins asked for sudden filling with the fullness of the Spirit (Mt. 25:8 ), but it was not granted to them. There is a minimum time allowed for reaching fullness of the Spirit. In order for Jesus to transform from an ordinary man living in Nazareth to the extra-ordinary man that he was during his earthly ministry, he had to spend 40 days in the desert. In order for Elijah to be fit to be taken up to heaven, he had to trek for 40 days to reach Horeb, the mount of God. Only those who are filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit of God can make the rapture. In order to be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit of God, a person must have pure heart. Jesus’ 40-day desert experience was for the purpose of purging his heart of the world. Elijah’s 40-day trek to Horeb purged his heart of the world so that he could meet with God. Moses’ 40-day sojourn on Mount Sinai prepared his heart so that he could meet God. Today’s Christian’s, who are so engrossed with the world, expect that the grace of God will suddenly fill them with the fullness of the Holy Spirit and then immediately transform them to immortals and whisk them up to heaven. The God of today’s Christians is different from the God of Moses, Elijah and Jesus. The reality is that before the rapture takes place, we will see people of God who are filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit of God. These people will be exactly as Jesus was during his earthly ministry. They will do all the works that Jesus did; they will even do greater work than Jesus did (Jn. 14:12). The latter rain will of course be greater than the early rain. |

Who will make the Rapture? Ep. 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her Ep. 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, Ep. 5:27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Ep. 5:27 describes the people that will make the rapture. Ep. 5:25-26 describes the process that will lead up to the rapture. The people that Jesus will present to himself (rapture) will perfect. The process that will lead up to the rapture is simply the process of perfection. Jesus kick-started the process by dying for us. A person keys in to the process by dying with Jesus. ( .) A person becomes perfect only by being filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Fullness of the Spirit only comes to a person with a pure heart. The only way to purify the heart to the level required to receive the fullness of the Spirit by washing it with water through the word. I have explained the how to of cleansing the heart in . 1Jn. 3:1-3 (KJV) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1Jn. 3:2 says that at the time the rapture will take, those to be snatched up to heaven will be like Jesus. 1Jn. 3:3 says that anyone who hopes to become like Jesus should purify himself/herself. How does a person purify her/himself? By washing the heart with water through the word! Mt. 25:1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Mt. 25:2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. Mt. 25:3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. Mt. 25:4 The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. Mt. 25:6 “At midnight the cry rang out: `Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Mt. 25:7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. Mt. 25:8 The foolish ones said to the wise, `Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ Mt. 25:9 “`No,’ they replied, `there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ Mt. 25:10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. The wise virgins obtained the fullness of the Spirit before the time of the rapture. The foolish virgins did not do what it takes to obtain the fullness of the Spirit in time. |

I present here what I know about the rapture of the saints of God. Is there going to be a rapture, as understood by many Christians? My answer to the question is that there will indeed be a rapture. A lot of other Christians do not believe that there will be a rapture. Even those who believe that there will be a rapture do not clearly understand the process that will lead up to the rapture. 1Co. 15:51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed — 1Co. 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 1Co. 15:53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 1Th. 4:15 According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 1Th. 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1Th. 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Above passages of New Testament Scripture describe the rapture. The people of God that will be snatched up to heaven will first of all be transformed from earthly to spiritual bodies—resurrection. |

Examples of Word of Faith Ga. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. The day you submitted yourself for baptism into Jesus Christ was the day you were crucified with Jesus. When prayer was said for you to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, Christ (the Anointing) came to dwell in your body. God is in you; stop living by yourself and live by God that is in you. You live by God through words of faith—calling the things God has said that He has done or that He does as if you are a witness of those things, even if you are not yet witnessing them. If you endure in calling the things that are not as though they were, before long, you will begin to witness them in reality. It is so miraculous! Following are examples of word of faith. I give you thanks the Most High God, for you rescued me and every member of my family from the dominion of darkness and you have brought us into the kingdom of your dear Son Jesus Christ, in whom we have redemption (Col. 1:13-14). Thank you gracious Father, for by your grace we have been united with Jesus Christ in his death and you have raised us up together with him. Thank you Holy Father for you have raised us up from sin into righteousness. You work in us to will and act according to your good purpose (Ph. 2:13). Praise be to God, for I can do everything through Christ in me who gives me strength (Ph. 4:13). In the name of Jesus Christ, I can cast out demons. I can speak any language of the world. If I lay my hand on sick people, they shall become well. Even though I drink deadly poison, it shall not hurt me at all. (Mk. 16:17-18) By the grace of God, I shall be perfect as my heavenly Father is perfect (Mt. 5:48); for Christ in me works in me to will and to act according to God’s good purpose (Ph. 2:13). By the grace of God, I shall not worry about my life (Mt. 6:25-34); for my God will meet all my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ (Ph. 4:19). |

Reigning with Jesus Jo. 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. If you unceasingly speak words of faith, you will end up doing the works that Jesus did during his earthly ministry. You will begin to manifest as a son of God. Jn. 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Mk. 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; Mk. 16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Note that 2Ti. 2:12 (quoted above) says that if we endure, we will also reign with him. This should tell you that your faith must be tested by tribulations before you can reign with Jesus. Before Jesus himself began to reign during his earthly ministry, the Spirit first of all drove him into the desert, where he was tried (Matthew 4). The reason why many people do not grow spiritually is because they are so much focused on worldly prosperity. They are afraid of suffering. In order to become like Jesus, worldly pursuits must decrease so that heaven will increase in you. When worldly pursuits decrease, tribulation sets in. It is faith during tribulations that pleases God so much. |

Living with Jesus Christ Ga. 3:26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, Ga. 3:27 for all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. If you have been baptized into Jesus Christ in water and in the Spirit, you are a son of God. You therefore need to begin to live like a son of God; Jesus is our example (1Pe. 2:21). How do you begin to live like Jesus Christ? By faith! Ro. 4:17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” [Gen. 17:5] He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed — the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were. 2Co. 4:13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” [Psalm 116:10] With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, The practice of faith involves calling things that are not as though they were. We need to manifest our belief by speaking out what we believe. That is faith. The best time to display faith is when we are facing tribulation; instead of complaining or mourning, we begin to speak word of faith. It pleases God a lot. God gives His power to those who please Him.

Faith should lead to Action Ja. 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. Ac. 2:36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Ac. 2:37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Ac. 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. After you have heard or read the complete gospel of Jesus Christ, you need to show that you believe by action. When Apostle Peter finished preaching the gospel in Acts 2, the people asked for what they should do in response to the message. Peter told them that they need to die with Jesus Christ. Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Ro. 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? A person dies with Jesus Christ through baptism in water into the name of Jesus Christ. It is water baptism that unites a person with the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and hence with the blood of Jesus. In Ac. 2:38, Apostle Peter stated that baptism into Jesus Christ should be accompanied by receiving of the Holy Spirit. In Ac. 19:2 we see where Apostle Paul asked some people of God, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” Paul got the people to go through proper baptism, followed by prayer for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Once you are baptized in water into Jesus Christ and the baptism is followed by prayer for the gift of the Holy Spirit, be rest assured that you have received the Holy Spirit. Lk. 11:13 says that God gives the Holy Spirit if we ask Him. It is better to believe what the Bible says than to depend on some visible manifestation, like speaking in tongues, in order to know if you have received the Holy Spirit.

If we disown him, he will also disown us; 2Ti. 2:13 if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. The above passages of Scripture help us to capture the message from God through Jesus Christ, or the gospel. The message is that Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he was raised from the dead. The message goes on to say that if we died with Jesus Christ, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself. This is the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith is to believe the complete gospel. As we can see, there are two parts to the gospel. One part consists of what God has done for us: He gave Jesus Christ to die for our sins and then He raised Jesus Christ from the dead for our justification (Ro. 4:25). The other part consists of our response to what God has done for us: die with Jesus Christ, live with him and reign with him.

Mk. 9:23 “`If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Ph. 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Everything is possible to you because you can do everything if God gives you the strength. How does one receive strength from God? Jn. 8:29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” God gives strength to a person that pleases Him. Therefore, the question about how to receive strength from God should be rephrased as how to please God. How could I always do what pleases God, so that He will always be with me and then I could do everything through Him? He. 10:38 But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.” God is pleased with those who live by faith. Faith is to believe the message that came from God. What is this message?

Nu. 14:28 So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say: Do you believe the various promises of God to those who are baptized into Christ Jesus? If you do, form the habit f voicing them out, as applying to you. God will do the very things He hears you say, if His Holy Spirit is in you.
