Expressing concern about the incidences of suicide and other mental health challenges and their effects on the citizens, the House of Representatives recently asked the federal government to establish counseling centres nationwide to provide counseling services to those battling mental health challenges.Counselling centres is not the solution; create money centres, where somebody that has become hopeless can go and get some money. |

Nextt:You cannot comprehend what I posted and you are already talking about schooling me. You bolded this one: God prepared a new man (Adam) for the Word (or Christ or the Anointing) to dwell in. Jesus is not God, but God (the Word) is in Jesus. Why didn't you bold this one? Jesus' people are supposed to be in both God and Jesus, and both God and Jesus are supposed to be in Jesus' people. Does that mean that Jesus' people should now be called both God and Jesus? You just refer to it as one of my errors, yet you cannot answer the question I posed in it. Since Jesus' people are supposed to be in both God and Jesus, and both God and Jesus are supposed to be in Jesus' people, does that mean that Jesus' people should now be called both God and Jesus? Jn. 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. For those who watched Emmanuel TV, you must have watched scenes where the demon in a demon-possessed person is speaking. The demon can speak through that person and the person can speak her/his own words. Usually, when the demon speaks, the human being is completely shut out of the speech. In the same way, God in Jesus spoke His words and there were times Jesus spoke as the human being he was. The problem with people who formulate church doctrines is that they often find it difficult to know when God in Jesus is speaking and when the man Jesus speaks his own words. They also find it difficult to know when the Bible is talking about Christ in Jesus and when the Bible is talking about the man Jesus. The complete eternal harmony or union between the man Jesus and Christ in him transformed the man Jesus into a life-giving spirit (1 Co. 15:45). The goal of Christianity is for Jesus' people to be so completely in harmony or union with God and Jesus that they be transformed into life-giving spirits. 1Co. 15:46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 1Co. 15:47 The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 1Co. 15:48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 1Co. 15:49 And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. |
Mt. 15:11 What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him `unclean’, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean’.” What the eyes see does not make any human being lustful. It's the lust already in the heart that connects with lewd pictures and movies. If your heart is sanctified, nothing you see moves you. It's just like saying that the violence that soldiers see at the warfront makes soldiers to be violent people. Of course that's a lie. There are soldiers who have been involved in deadly battles who are still some of the most humane human beings on earth; whereas a lot of Nigerian soldiers who have never been at any warfront display violence as a way of showing how some great soldiers they are. |

Nextt:Jn. 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. The Word became flesh simply means that the Word possessed the man Jesus. He. 10:5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me." God prepared a new man (Adam) for the Word (or Christ or the Anointing) to dwell in. Jesus is not God, but God (the Word) is in Jesus. Jn. 17:20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, Jn. 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. Jesus' people are supposed to be in both God and Jesus, and both God and Jesus are supposed to be in Jesus' people. Does that mean that Jesus' people should now be called both God and Jesus? Americans couldn't clearly understand what the New Testament is saying and they formed all sorts of church doctrines out of their misunderstanding. |

I pity practitioners of Judaism (Jews). Their hatred of Jesus and Christianity has greatly limited their spiritual knowledge. They say that the Feast of Pentecost commemorates the giving of the Torah by God. But the New Testament made me to understand that the Feast of Pentecost commemorates water from the rock at Horeb. I posted on an international forum, Godlike Productions, that water from the rock occurred during the first Shavuot, and my post apparently caught the attention of many Jews. Later I read a rabbi on a Jewish site state that the Torah was actually received on the Feast of Atonement, which gives a great explanation of the meaning of the Feast of Atonement. The Feast of Atonement is a day of fasting and mourning among the Jews. Why? It's a day of judging one's life by the commandments of God. Since we all come short of what the commandments demand, there is need for mourning. The Feast of Atonement, as the name implies, is a day of mourning for our sins and asking for forgiveness. It was a day that blood was shed for the sins of the people. Incidentally, resurrection will occur on the day of atonement. Those who satisfy the laws of God will resurrect; those who do not meet God's requirements will not make the resurrection. |
BREAKING NEWS: Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu tells Gaza residents to “GET OUT NOW” as he vows to use all IDF capabilities to destroy Hamas. “We will win this war, but the price will be unbearably heavy. Hamas wants to murder us all,” Netanyahu said. “Murdering children and mothers in their homes, in their beds. It is an enemy that kidnaps elderly people, children, young girls.” “What happened today has never been seen before in Israel and I will ensure it never happens again. The entire government supports this decision. Sin is living contrary to words of God, which is rebellion towards God, whereas holiness is living in accordance with words of God. Ph. 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. No one can live in accordance with words of God by the exercise of will power, rather a person can live in accordance with words of God if God works in the person to will and to act according to His good purpose. Therefore, being sinful or holy is only a matter of whether God works in a person or not. Should we then say that a sinner is not to blame since her/his sinfulness is due to God choosing not to work in her/him? No. A human being determines whether God will work in her/him. Re. 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. If any person hears words of God and opens the door, God goes in and works in that person to will and act according to His good will. How does one open the door for God to come in? It is through pledge of allegiance. Just like in the case of pledge of allegiance to a country like Nigeria, pledge of allegiance to God is only a matter of speaking the right words, God's words. Is. 55:10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, Is. 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. God guarantees that if we return His word to Him, the word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it. Therefore, as we return God's word to Him as a pledge of allegiance, God works in us to will and act in accordance with that word. Jn. 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Lord Jesus Christ confirms that if one speaks words of God, God gives the Spirit without limit. The Spirit works in the person to make the person to will and act according to the words of God. Mt. 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Mt. 22:37 Jesus replied: “`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Mt. 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Mt. 22:39 And the second is like it: `Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Mt. 22:40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Lk. 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. By your grace, Holy Father God Almighty, I shall be perfect, even as you, our heavenly father are perfect. I shall be holy and blameless. In the name of Jesus Christ. By your grace, glorious Father God, I will always love you with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind and with all my strength. I shall love my neighbor as I love myself. In the name of Jesus Christ. By your grace everlasting Father God, I shall do to others as I would have them do to me. Above is an example of how I return specific words of God to Him. I do this every morning and evening. As I continually return God’s words to Him, I see my heart becoming cleaner and cleaner. God’s righteousness is increasing in me. This is not mere theory; practice this example continually and see yourself becoming free from sin. sexyteeola: |

Spiritual decline means that the divine life in a person had grown to some level and then, for some reason, the divine life in a person began to decrease. The divine life in a person grows as the person speaks forth words of God (Jn. 3:34) and always meditates on the word of God (Ro. 10:10). When a person who used to let the word of God dwell in her/him richly (Col. 3:16), begins to neglect the word of God, spiritual decline sets in. This is what happened to Adam and Eve, which caused the collapse of the divine life in them. God gave them His word, a command, and they always had this command of God in their hearts and definitely voiced out this command of God. When Satan came to deceive Eve, he uttered a word that contradicted God's word and Eve responded with God's word only once, before giving in to Satan's word. Eve went on to lead Adam to also give in to Satan's word. The collapse of the divine life in mankind took place. If Eve had maintained speaking the word that God gave Adam, she wouldn't have given in to the word of Satan. When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus consistently replied every word of Satan with the right word of God; because of this unwavering confession of God's word, Jesus never sinned. As human beings, Satan silently brings his word to us in the form of the urge to do what is not right. We must train ourselves to respond to every sinful thought by speaking forth the commandment of God that is related to the sinful thought. We can only do this if we make the word of God to dwell in our hearts richly. As we consistently speak forth words of God, God gives us His Holy Spirit without limit (Jn. 3:34). If we rather keep on yielding to sinful thoughts, spiritual decline will continue in our lives until we reach the bottom. Ge. 4:6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? Ge. 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” |

Christianity is weak without the divine power. Christianity without the divine power requires physical weapons for defence; that is the prevailing situation in the world today. However, Christianity that operates the divine power is very dangerous. Jn. 18:3 So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons. Jn. 18:4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” Jn. 18:5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) Jn. 18:6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. Jn. 18:7 Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jn. 18:8 “I told you that I am he,” Jesus answered. “If you are looking for me, then let these men go.” Jn. 18:9 This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I have not lost one of those you gave me.” [John 6:39] A whole detachment of soldiers came to arrest Jesus. The moment they indicated that they were looking for Jesus, they drew back and fell to the ground. That is the divine power in action. Jesus deliberately handed himself over to them, after they agreed to exclude his apostles from the arrest. I am still growing in the divine power, but I am already seeing some wonderful results. In recent times I began to have this experience that any time I eat among my village people, somebody would attack me with witchcraft poison. The first time I was attacked with witchcraft poison, as the poison was about to kill me, I called on Jesus and the spirit of infirmity left me immediately. The next time I was attacked with witchcraft poison, an idea came to me to fill my stmach with the blood of Jesus, by word of faith. I tried it and the spirit of infirmity left me. I used the blood of Jesus a few number of times that I was attacked with witchcraft poison and I was always instantly delivered. Then I was attacked again with witchcraft poison; I used the blood of Jesus and it didn't work. This time I noticed some movement in the roof of the house in which I was, which made me to understand that the person attacking me came by witchcraft to enforce the poison. I was then led to attack both the poison working in me and the enemy operating in the roof of the house with fire of the Holy Spirit, through word of faith, and I was delivered. Since then, I have been using the fire of the Holy Spirit to save myself and others from witchcraft poison and also to attack the enemy attacking me with the poison. I am no longer afraid of being poisoned by witches. This is the operation of the divine power. I am still working to raise my level in the operation of the divine power by confession of God's word. |
Lk. 4:28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. Lk. 4:29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. Lk. 4:30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way. 1Pe. 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. Ac. 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. 2Pe. 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2Pe. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. In Luke 4:28-30, we see where all the people in a synagogue (just like a church with many members) were filled with rage towards Jesus and therefore drove him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. But Jesus faced the people and walked right through their midst and went his way. Nobody could even throw a stone at him. Well, 1 Peter 2:21 says that Jesus gave his followers an example, that they should follow in his steps. Jesus himself says in John 14:12 that "anyone" who has faith in him will do all that he did. The big question is, how many so-called followers of Jesus can render their enemies incapable of hurting them or their interests? That is where the statement of brother Kobojunkie comes in. Brother Kobojunkie is not happy with the state of the Church, especially with so-called men of God who claim to know the way to the kingdom of God and collect lots of money from their followers. The reality is that if the ministry of the men of God have been so effective, Christians should commonly be doing all the works that Jesus Christ did during his earthly ministry. But we don't see that happening, not minding all the financial transactions that go on in the various churches. The Pentecostal movement started on Azusa Street, Los Angeles, California in 1906. Great ministers of the gospel have arisen in the Pentecostal movement over the years that were able to do great miracles. Unfortunately, American ministers have formulated some doctrines that are popular in pentecostal churches today, but which hinder spiritual development in churches. Pentecostal churches in Nigeria follow these doctrines formulated in USA. One of the greatest ministers of the gospel that ever lived, Smith Wigglesworth, received revelation of a great end-time revival. He said that the end-time revival will come as a consequence of revival of emphasis on the word of God. Incidentally, some ministers from USA and Europe received revelation in the 1990s that the great end-time revival will start in Nigeria. Zephaniah 3:9,10 talks about this revival and says that Jews residing beyond the rivers of Cush will be responsible for spearheading the revival. It's actually people like Kobojunkie, who are zealous for God and are dissatisfied with the current church system that will start the great end-time revival. Back to the topic of this thread, Jesus Christ was able to do the works that he did because God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and power. Every true follower of Jesus Christ is already anointed with the Holy Spirit, otherwise the person does not belong to Jesus Christ (Ro. 8:9). What is lacking in followers of Jesus Christ that make them unable to do all that he did is divine power. 2 Peter 1:3 says that the divine power has given us everything we need. The divine power can render our enemies incapable of hurting us or our interests, but that can only happen if we are able to operate the divine power. God has definitely given the Church His divine power, but it is like gifting a farmer in Benue State a helicopter that can only carry one person (the pilot). How is the Benue farmer ever going to ride in the helicopter? Jn. 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Jn. 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 14:12 says, "anyone who has faith in me". John 1:12 says that those who receive him are given power to become sons of God. Many people make the mistake of thinking that the "him" in John 1:12 is Jesus, forgetting that up to that point, the book of John is talking about the Word. In John 1:14, the Word became flesh, which simply means that the Word possessed the man Jesus. In John 14:10, Jesus says that the words he said were not his own, but rather it was the Father living in him doing His work. The Father living in him is the Word. Therefore John 14:12 is saying that anyone who has faith in the Word shall do all the works that Jesus Christ did during his earthly ministry. Compare that with the revelation that Smith Wigglesworth had, that the great end-time revival will happen as a result of revival of emphasis on the word. If we have enough faith in God's word, we shall have power to become like Jesus Christ. |

On the 14th day of January 2022 [12 Shebat 5782], the Jewish Rabbinate of the Obadya Alliance [Dayan Jacob de Oliveira, Dayan Eliezer Tabor, Dayan Yehonatan Elazar-DeMota, Rabbi Hananiah Cohen, and Rabbi Haim Ovadia] ruled that the Igbos of Nigeria are descendants of ancient Israelites. According to the Rabbinate, “the presence of Israelites along the Niger River had been known by Jewish authorities in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Suriname. Rabbinic letters addressed to the Igbos by Chief rabbis: Dr. Solomon Hershel Lewin, David Meldola, and the Gaon of Vilna (Elijan Zalman), support the idea that there was contact between European Jewish communities and Igbo Israelites. All of the correspondence from the aforementioned rabbinic authorities address the Igbos as “brethren of the Children of Israel.” Accordingly, there is no doubt of their origins, nor of their halakhic status as Israelites.” According to the Rabbinate, while there is yet an exhaustive academic genetic study of the Igbos, the data of the majority of those who have reported their autosomal and y-chromosome DNA, supports that their ancestors migrated from the Levant Basin, sharing genetic links with Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews alike. The Rabbinate noted the fact that rabbinic authorities during the Songhai Empires were aware of Israelites in Igboland, which leads to the logical conclusion that they treated Igbos as Israelites. The final conclusion of the Obadya Alliance Rabbinate was that “Igbos are to be treated as Israelites, in every sense of the word, and also their priestly and Levite lineages should be upheld as valid.” The Rabbinate advised that upon the return of the Igbos to Omenana (what you do in the Land), they should be circumcised [if they hadn’t performed it already], say the sheheḥeyánu afterwards, and partake in the kola nut ceremony with their brethren, as is customary among Igbos. https://www.facebook.com/maduewesi/videos/10156803565625909 My personal joy with this ruling is the attention it may draw, which may also trigger more scholars to do more research about Igbos, what the Igbos offered the world in the past, what they are offering the world now, and what they would offer the world in the future. As democracy is under assault, the Igbos are democratic to the core and stand out as the most culturally democratic ethnic entity globally. The world may have a look at the Igbo traditional system of government, which has survived despite many years of British rule and Nigeria’s deliberate marginalization. It is interesting that the Obadya Rabbinate addressed Igbos as Israelites, not as Jews. They also affirmed Omenana (what you do in the Land) as the authentic original religion of the children of Israel. Dr. James Horton Africanus Beal had, in his 1868 book, West African Countries and Peoples, British and Native: And a Vindication of the African Race, described Igbo religion as Judaism mixed with pagan practices. In another book, The story of the Niger: A record of travel and adventure from the days of Mungo Park to the present time, Published 1888, author Robert Richardson observed, "The religion of the natives is almost pure idolatry; but some slight traces of Judaism may be discovered in it - a circumstance which seems to indicate that some stray wanderers of the Hebrew race must long ago have found their way to these regions, and in the gradual course of time become assimilated to the natives both in appearance and customs, leavening the races around them, however, with a few of their own ideas." With this validation of Omenana as Israelite religion, Jewish and Igbo scholars should come together to fill in the gaps created by years of exile between Omenana in Africa, and Judaism in Europe. With Omenana poised to go mainstream, this learning process between Jews and Igbos would be invaluable for both groups, as they compare notes, as there could well be traces of Christianity in both modern Judaism and modern Omenana. The Igbo Osu practice (Nethinim), which is rooted in Omenana has been both obdurate and pertinacious to modern Igbo society. These were temple servitors known from the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles. Scholars are divided as to whether they were actually slaves or property of the Temple. While Ezra 8:20 says that they had been set apart by David “to attend the Levites,” 1Chronicles 9:1-2 describes them simply as servitors like the Levites. To the Igbo, Nethinim or Osu are a "caste" that should not intermarry with free-born Igbo. Unfortunately, despite 200 years of Christianity in Igboland, with the creed “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28), the Osu still suffer discrimination. In Talmudic times the Nethinim were put on a level with bastards, and their descendants, male and female, were interdicted from marriage with Israelites for all time (Yeb. ii. 4, viii. 3); this is said to have been established by David (Yeb. 78b) or by Ezra (Num. R. viii.). Nethinim were allowed to marry only proselytes, freedmen, bastards, and foundlings (Ḳid. viii. 3). In tables of precedence they are reckoned very low, coming after bastards in Yer. Hor. iii. 5 and Yer. Yeb., viii. 5. The Igbos may learn how to solve the Osu problem from the Jews. Since Christianity did not solve this problem, maybe Judaism will. For someone who has worked on this subject for decades, digesting this ruling and its ground-shattering significance would be like peeling the multiple layers of an onion, with tears in your eyes. The most significant, in my opinion, is that the genocide against the Igbos between 1968 and 1970 would now be addressed as genocide against Israelites, highlighting the shared destiny of both Jews and Igbos as descendants of one father, Jacob, whom God renamed Israel. The Igbos have suffered more genocide, perennial massacres, ethnic cleansing, discrimination, and marginalization in Nigeria. Igbos are perceived as a market-dominant minority, a resented “outsider” ethnic group. In a White House memo dated Tuesday, January 28, 1969, to President Nixon, former Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger described the Igbos as “the wandering Jews of West Africa, gifted, aggressive, westernized, at best envied and resented, but mostly despised by their neighbors in the federation.” Just as the world was called upon to answer the Jewish Question, the world has neglected to even entertain the Igbo Question. My hope is that this ruling may draw global attention thereto. The ruling was signed by Dr. Dayan Yehonatan Elazar-DeMota, who has a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Florida International University, and a PhD in International Law from the University of Amsterdam. https://www./jewish-rabbinate-rules-igbos-israelites-eugene-emeka-maduewesi-ll-m-/ |

Sin is the cause of all problems in the world. Whatever that can remove sin from your life can solve all your problems. There is only one thing that the Bible says can remove sin from the life of a human being and it is the life of God. Ro. 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. There is only one place where the Bible says that we can find the life of God; the word of God. Jn. 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn. 1:4 In him was life ; and the life was the light of men. Ro. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness ; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Jos. 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth ; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein : for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Form the habit of frequently speaking out God's commandments and promises, applying them to yourself, and the life of God will build up in you. The life of God working in you will kill sin in your life and God will take care of your problems. https://www.nairaland.com/7817492/salvation-sin |
Ro. 5:10 For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Jn. 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. Jn. 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn. 1:4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. A person who has the Holy Spirit in her/him shall be saved from sin by the life of God. Many people erroneously believe that if any person has the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit gives the person power to live above sin. The reality is that it is the life of God (divine life) working in a person that saves the person from the power of sin and the life of God is in the word of God. However, it is the Holy Spirit that applies the life of God to the human being. That is why in Jn. 17:17 Jesus asks the Father to sanctify (make holy) his followers by the truth, which is God’s word. A person who has received the Holy Spirit is in the same state as Adam was in the Garden of Eden before the fall, which is also the same state in which Jesus Christ was after the Holy Spirit came upon him (Mt. 3:16). The fact that a normal human being who has been baptized into Jesus Christ was previously in the habit of sinning doesn’t make much difference; after all Adam who wasn’t in the habit of sinning went on to become a sinner and the only thing that prevented Jesus from sinning, when he was tempted by Satan, was consistently warding sin off by the word of God. Therefore, what determines whether one will be holy or not is not whether one had previously formed the habit of sinning, but rather one’s ability to consistently ward sin off by the word of God. He. 4:7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” [Ps. 95:7,8] If you have the Spirit of God in you and you start today to consistently ward sin off your life by the word of God, you will be surprised to see the righteousness of God growing in you rapidly. Holiness is not as far-fetched as most people believe. It is just that Satan and his angels are waging war against mankind using sin and the only way to win the war against sin is to fight with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. War is never an easy thing; most people don’t go into the inconvenience of warring against sin and so their lives are controlled by sin. Ge. 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” Ep. 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her Ep. 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word. Ep. 5:26 shows that cleansing from sin is done through the word of God. How does this work? In Is. 55:11, God says that His word cannot return to Him without accomplishing what it says. So, when a Christian returns God’s word to Him, the Spirit of God accomplishes what the word says in the life of the Christian. Let me show you an example. The above example shows how I return specific words of God to Him. I do this every morning and evening. As I continually return God’s words to Him, I see my heart becoming cleaner and cleaner. God’s righteousness is increasing in me. This is not mere story or theory. Practice continually returning God’s word to Him as illustrated in the above example and see yourself becoming free from sin. Ro. 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Jo. 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. If any Christian conquers sin in her/his life, God will do for that person what He did for Jesus (Mt. 4:11, Lk. 4:14). 1Co. 2:9 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him” — [Isaiah 64:4] |

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Ac. 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. What is the good news? Ro. 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Ro. 3:24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Human beings descended from a son of God, Adam (LK. 3:38), who fell from glory when sin entered into him. Consequently, all descendants of Adam have sinful nature. Jesus Christ died as a sarifice of atonement for the sins of mankind, so that a human being could disconnect from descendancy of Adam and connect to the bloodline of the new glorious Adam, Jesus Christ. That is why Mk. 16:16 says that whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, done according to Mk. 16:16, disconnects a human being from descendancy of Adam and connects the human being to the bloodline of Jesus Christ. This is a great redemption because a person that is still in the old Adam can never receive the Holy Spirit and any person who does not have the Holy Spirit does not belong to God. That is why Ac. 2:38 says that anyone who is baptized into the name of Jesus Christ will (or is qualified to) receive the Holy Spirit. A person who has received the Holy Spirit is in the same state as Adam was in the Garden of Eden, which is also the same state in which Jesus Christ was after the Holy Spirit came upon him (Mt. 3:16); the only difference being that both Adam (before the fall) and Jesus had never experenced sin. In the case of the normal human being, s/he has lived in sin all her/his life. Adam went on to commit sin, anyway. Jesus faced the same kind of temptation that Adam faced and yet did not sin. Why did Jesus succeed where Adam failed? In both cases, the tempter twisted the truth (God's word). Adam accepted and swallowed the twist (lie) and fell into sin. Jesus consistently countered the twist with the truth (God's word) and thereby never fell into sin. Mt. 16:21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Mt. 16:22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” Mt. 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” In the above scenario, Peter appeared to be giving a loving rebuke to Jesus, but the rebuke was in opposition to God's will for Jesus. Jesus immediately saw the hand of Satan in the seemingly loving rebuke and responded rather extremely. It therefore becomes clear that the only way to be holy in this world is to have an extremist attitude toward holiness. The world hates that anyway. Having an extremist attitude towards holiness means that if one encounters any attitude or situation that appears sinful, one must immediately counter the attitude or situation by speaking out the commandment of God that is against it. Sin is so destructive to the human soul that anyone who knows the truth about sin should constantly be at war against sin. |
