Christianity EtcRe: Does Being Born Again Mean I Am Free From Sin And Immunized Against Sinning? by Kei144(m): 3:18pm On Aug 13, 2023
Jn. 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
.
.
Jn. 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Anyone who receives God's word whole heartedly receives power to be a son of God. Therefore, when the good news of our redemption by Christ Jesus is preached, anyone who receives the goods news wholeheartedly and acts on it is redeemed. What does this redmption mean? It is that human beings descended from a son of God, Adam, who fell from glory when sin entered into him. Consequently, all descendants of Adam have sinful nature. Jesus Christ died as a sarifice of atonement for the sins of mankind, so that a human being could disconnect from descendancy of Adam and connect to the bloodline of the new glorious Adam, Jesus Christ. That is why Mk. 16:16 says that whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, done according to Mk. 16:16, disconnects a human being from descendancy of Adam and connects the human being to the bloodline of Jesus Christ.

Ro. 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death?

Water baptism done to a person who has believed that Jesus Christ died for our redemption unites the person to the death (blood) of Jesus Christ. The person dies with Jesus by faith and rises up from the baptism a new human being--grafted into Jesus Christ. The person is born again into the bloodline of Jesus Christ.

Ac. 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Having been baptized into Jesus Christ, the person is now qualified to receive the Holy Spirit, which a persn still in the old Adam cannot receive.

Jn. 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Jesus Christ is the vine, the new Adam. All who are baptized into him are his branches or descendants. They begin their lives in the Holy Spirit exactly the same way Jesus Christ began (Mt. 3:16). You notice that shortly after jesus Christ received the Holy Spirit, he was moved by the Spirit into the wild, where he was tempted by Satan. Similarly, after a person is born again, temptations come like a flood. How does the born again overcome the temptation to sin? Well, when Satan comes like a flood, raise a standard against him (Is. 59:19. The standard is God's commandment that deals with what the temptation is all about. That was how Jesus Christ overcame Satan's temptation in the wild (Mt. 4:1-9). You can read more about power to live righteously at this link:

This is one of the most satanic and barbaric culture of the igbos I detest. I feel for the Yoruba man tho
Call it satanic as much as you like, but the tradition was crafted to dissuade irresponsibility among men. If a man is not ready for marriage, he should not impregnate a woman. That is why baby mama without marriage is rare among Igbos. How many Igbo celebrities have you heard impregnating women all over the country or world, even musicians?

A few years ago i was in a public transport bus from Awka to Onitsha and a Yoruba man was in the bus. A discussion came up about godliness among Igbos. Then I said that the only thing that seriously draws Igbos away from God is money and that (Anambra) Igbos are not so mad about women and wine. As soon as I said "not so mad about women", the Yoruba man said, "Not at all". In the course of his stay in Anambra State, he had noticed that Anambra men are not obsessed with unbridled sex with pretty women that abound. What you call satanic culture, which is of Jewish origin, is responsible for what the Yoruba man observed among Anambra people.

How won't the Naira be undervalued after Ag. CBN Governor released so much physical naira into circulation, thereby undermining what Emefiele did. Inasmuch as the transition from cash to cashless economy hurt Nigerians so much, throwing away all the gain achieved, after people got used to cashless economy, is horrible.

If it's attack, then all you need is to find a Christian who really has the Holy Spirit. The Christian can drive out the evil spirit(s) causing the problem by the Holy Spirit. If you were in my vicinity, I could have done it for you. You need to see a true deliverance minister.

Go To Hell! Tunde Ayeni’s Side-Chick, Adaobi Alagwu, Berates Him for Insisting on DNA Test for Love-Child

Sources privy to the ongoing imbroglio between the estranged lovebirds reveal that Adaobi, an Abuja-based lawyer who happened to be a classmate of Ayeni’s daughter, has dared Ayeni to come close to her and her daughter if he would not be disgraced. When she got wind of Ayeni’s plan to disentangle himself from the child as it has become worryingly difficult for him to take care of certain responsibilities based on the present parlous state of his finances, Adaobi berated him, called his bluff, then ask him to “go to hell with whatever test he is planning to conduct.” In a letter she wrote to him Adaobi was unsparing, acerbic and direct in calling him unprintable names. She let him know in unmistakable terms that she would not let go of the property and that she knew he has become flatly broke and desperate, which was why he was looking for anything to cling unto.

Adaobi has also vowed to drag Ayeni through the mud until he took full responsibility for the baby girl. “She is ready to drag him through the mud if he continues to deny the paternity of her daughter. She said he was the one who encouraged her to get pregnant and many witnesses can attest to it. According to her, early last year, she was a constant face at his Solween house as she lived with him in his Rhine street address.

“Ada also told us that many times in the past, she had actually walked out of the relationship with Ayeni only for him to run to her mother and other family members on bended knees to beg,” a source revealed.

According to the sources, Ayeni has been running from pillar to post to salvage what is left of his diminishing resources, and has therefore chosen to go the DNA test route to determine the girl’s paternity in the hope that the test would return negative. Adaobi, when she heard of this, was said to be furious and battle ready for Ayeni over the matter. Adaobi was quoted to have told Tunde to go rue his losses and steer clear of her child, as he is too flatly broke to be embroiled in any paternity tussle at the moment. Tunde Ayeni has since recoiled to his shell; though sources say he has really fallen on bad times and has been struggling to keep up with his lifestyle of luxury for which he was hitherto known. He is said to be left with the hard option of retrieving some of the properties he bought for Adaobi, including an office building he reportedly gifted her.

Meanwhile, Adaobi’s mother has advised those close to Tunde Ayeni to warn him to desist from making dirty moves against her daughter, as she would not intervene when he comes back to Adaobi begging for forgiveness, as he is in the habit of. According to Adaobi’s mother, Ayeni was only seeking unnecessary attention which he does not have enough strength of character to see through. “This is not his first time of embarking on such frivolous moves. He always comes back begging. If you know him well, warn him to stop this his childish behaviour. I would not beg on his behalf this time around when he reaches out to me to beg Ada,” she said.

It will be recalled that Ayeni’s tales of woes started when he outsmarted his friend, Greg Nwanseru, to poach Adaobi from him. Adaobi was Greg’s former babe before Ayeni lured her with expensive gifts and money. Adaobi was about 24 when she fell for Ayeni’s antics. Ayeni even had send his daughter, who was Adaobi’s friend, to Lagos campus of Nigeria Law School, so she would not be a clog in the wheel of his romantic whirling with Adaobi, who was posted to Abuja like his daughter. Not that Adaobi was a saint before meeting Ayeni; in fact, reports have it that she already had a child and was cruising G-Wagon in Abuja, as she rolled with big-time politicians and rich corporate dudes. There are reports that she was older than she claimed. She contested the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) 2014, and it has been revealed she got into modelling in 2007. Well, Ayeni might have a found a worthy company in Atiku Abubakar who also has made mess of the marriage institution with his divorce case with Jennifer who is far younger than Atiku’s first five children.

Ayeni was once close to the powers that be and weilded huge influence in the nation’s socio-economic milieu so much that he could get whatever he desired. Unknowing to him, he was embarking on a journey of perdition that has seen him record huge losses and collateral damage that has plummeted his wealth. Not only has he lost a huge chunk of his estate, as AMCON and EFCC are on his neck trying to recover huge debts he is owing; he has also gone ahead to make enemies of people who were once his friends, family and support structures. He has reportedly confided in few of his friends that he knew Adaobi has been a bad luck to him since their ways crossed. He was reported to have said that Atiku’s loss at the poll might not be unconnected to Adaobi’s ill-luck.

Ayeni’s once-upon-a-time closely knit family has since become a shadow of its old self. His dutiful wife, Biola, was not only heartbroken by Tunde’s betrayal and his lecherous ways, but also turned a prayer-warrior when Tunde almost sniffed life out of her. His kids were deeply saddened by the harrowing experience he made them and their mother go through. Overtly clever and covetous, besides being instrumental to bringing Skye Bank to its knees through his sleight of hand, his records of fraudulent deals to dispossess his business partners (alive and late) and shareholders in companies in which he was a stakeholder of their hard earned monies remain subjects of rave reviews in the conventional media as well as the new media. From late Captain Idahosa Okunbo to late Dipreye Alamiesiegha, Ayeni was brutal in his attempts to take over their estates, and even continues to fight them in their respective graves.

Recently, Ayeni reportedly entered a plea bargain with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over the N25.4billion corruption case it filed against him and the Managing Director of defunct Skye Bank, Timothy Oguntayo. According to reports, the EFCC entered into a secret settlement with Ayeni and Oguntayo that might have involved the forfeiture of N15billion in cash and assets.

The EFCC under the leadership of Ibrahim Magu, had on March 7, 2019 arraigned him, Oguntayo and two other companies before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court, Abuja on 10 charges bordering on money laundering to the tune of N25.4bn. One of the counts had read, “That you, Tunde Ayeni, whilst being the Chairman, Board of Directors of the defunct Skye Bank Plc, between the 1st of January, 2014 and 31st December, 2014 at Abuja within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did commit an offence, to wit: converting the aggregate sum of N17,415,080,000 taken in cash from defunct Skye Bank Plc Suspense Account and delivered to you by the staff of the defunct Skye Bank Plc, which money you reasonably ought to have known forms part of the proceeds of an unlawful act, to wit: fraud and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 15(2)(b) and (3) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 (as amended).”

Nemesis might be catching up with Ayeni, as his underhand dealings at one point or the other have fleeced thousands of depositors and shareholders of their monies. Karma, they say, bides its time, and can be unforgiving when it is payback time. After all, the evil that men do live after them.

In the meantime, Ayeni has been perfecting plots to warm his way into the imminent Asiwaju Bola Tinubu-led government, now that he has lost out in his miscalculation that Atiku would win the presidential election, which he had hoped to use as a launchpad back to reckoning and the corridors of power. He was said to have boasted that he would use his suspicious relationship with a popular city lady named Timbo Ayinde (who is reputed to have dated many powerful men in the corridors of power, and is well connected in the oil sector) to gain access to the Tinubu-led administration. Timbo is reported to be close to Tinubu. It is not clear how Ayeni intends to do creep into Tinubu’s government but people in the know claim that he sounded so confident that he would win over Timbo’s heart and use her for his ulterior motive. It is yet to be seen how he intends to achieve this, with the methodical and strategic Tinubu who knows how to ward off the activities of bad luck and saboteurs like Ayeni.

While he weilded influence in the corridor, Ayeni was notorious for using state agencies to threaten and intimidate his perceived foes and even friends who attempted to stand up to him. He was one of those fingered to have compromised the professionalism of many men of these agencies through inducements and coercion. He recently boasted that he would “deal with a lot of people, especially in the media,” a source said. The source said he had a list of Nigerian journalists to clamp into jail for “maligning him” if Atiku won the election. His now estranged side-chick is also culpable of using state agents to intimidate people. Not too long ago, she ordered the arrest of a journalist. The arbitrary arrest was roundly condemned by the media and well meaning Nigerians.

Meanwhile the National Alliance of Media Practitioners (NAMP) has condemned the arrest of the journalist insitgated by Adaobi. In a strong-worded media release by the body, Adaobi was warned to desist from using state agencies to harass journalists again, as “doing so would incur the wrath of its members who go to any length to get justice.” The statement also admonished the Nigerian Police and other law enforcement agencies to stop being willing tools in the hands of some Nigerians. “There are fair and just ways to address issues relating to media practice in Nigeria; Nigerian law enforcement agencies should also educate this group of Nigerians about exploring these laws, rather than being willing tools in their hands,” the statement read.

We may not doubt whether life in Nigeria is cheaper than in Ghana. But the issue is, why must we continue to get government that worsens the plight of Nigerians? Is it not better to have government that makes life even easier for Nigerians? Is it impossible to make life easier? Must life continue getting harder, just because there are other countries whose conditions are worse than ours?

South Africa looked beautiful and efficient because the blacks were suppressed and removed from the picture. The available resources were used to develop only white areas and the resources were more than enough to make white areas so beautiful. If they show you how the areas occupied by blacks looked in thoses days, you will cry. In modern times, the South African government has to cater for the needs of the much more populous blacks. That is a lot of strain on the resources, as every part of the country needs to be attended to, not just only the parts of the country occupied by whites. The whole country cannot be made to look beautiful with the available resources.

As an illustration, consider when most Nigeirains were illiterates. The few educated people in Nigeria, especially the graduates, lived beautiful lives. Work and a car was guaranteed for a graduate. In my secondary school days in the late 1970s to early 1980s, my young teacher (with just O' Level certificate) saved and bought a brand new VW Beetle. In the 1990s, it took me nine years after obtaining my masters degree before I could own a foreign used basic car. Being a university graduate in Nigeria today, even with PhD, does not guarantee any beautiful life not because the government of today is worse than the government of 60s and 70s, but because today's government has too many educated peple to cater for.

Razgas:
Select any random African country and give it to any random western European country to manage for 50 years and watch 70% of their current problems magically disappear.

South Africa was once a beautiful and efficient country.

The mother of a student of mine (about 18 years old) called me and told me that another student called to tell her that her son was very sick in a morning that he had exam to write. She was told that the son could not stand for long without falling down. She begged me to help her find out what his sickness was since she resides very far from where her son was. I was still in my residence when the call came, after which I took my time to get ready. By the time I got to office, it was already past 10 am. Then I went to look for the boy in front of the hostel. A student helped to call him out. He and I sat on a bench and I began to interview him. It turned out that he had been sick for few days, so on this day of exam he woke up in the morning and took some malaria medicine together with ciprofloxacin without eating any food, in order to ensure he would be able to write the exam. By the time I was speaking with him (after 10 am), he still hadn't eaten and the exam was already gone. Fortunately, there was a woman selling moi-moi very near us; in fact the bench we were stting on belonged to the woman. I told the woman to give him moi-moi to eat immediately. The friends of the boy were going to get a keke to carry him to hospital for injection before I came, but I discovered that his problem was only taking two very hard drugs without eating any food.

Later in the day the mother of the boy called to say that I didn't call back to tell her what was wrong with her son, then I told her what happened. Apparently, I had expected to see a terrible health situation that would warrant making arrangement to ship the boy to a major hospital, but when I realized that it was just a case of taking two hard drugs without eating any food for hours, I basically forgot about getting back to the mother.

This kind your theory has never worked for years. Hiring talented and competent teachers are so easy and not as complicated as you thought. First of all, teaching and lecturing is about passion and not necessarily about money. There are qualify people outside burning with passion to teach even if you pay them N50k per month. Even if you like, pay each teacher with no passion N500 million per month, they will still come back to tell government that the money is not enough without any result to show for it.

Universities are only after title and numbers of theoretical academic papers published without paying attention to talent to teach. What is the essence of hiring a professor or Dr in the university who can't transmit knowledge he/she has acquired over the years to younger generation? Many professors and Drs will teach two hours lecture, but students they teach cann't pick anything useful out of their lectures. If a secondary school student can transfer little knowledge he/she has to others without speaking big grammar, that is a functional professor. To hire competent teachers, let them teach students publicly before they are hired while students cast votes and comment on their ability to teach dullest to understand difficult content given to them.

By the time they are made to teach about five categories of students with varying degrees of assimilation, lecturers that succeed should be hired. Competent lecturers to be hired should have academic qualification, practical industrial experiences and talent to teach even the dullest in the class. Many of ASSU lecturers don't have practical industrial experiences, many have never worked in the industries for one day, but they want to teach students to go to industries they have never been to. How will our education system work?

How many lecturers that are teaching computer science for example have even developed one single application individually that they can currently point to in the market, and they want to graduate another sets of students as future Billgates? You can't give what you don't have! How many salary increment have been done since Obasanjo era with hope that it will make lecturers become more functional? What improvement has increase in salary brought to our educational system than trying to make government bankrupt through persistent strike if national cake is not shared again and again to them? We must change the system, we need passionate and talented teachers and not money oriented teachers
I agree with your points. Nigeria's universities had the best set of lecturers pre-1999 when Obasanjo increased salaries of university workers by about 200 percent. Before that increase, mostly people who were true academic materials were lecturers. Professional disciplines like Engineering, Medicine, Accounting, found it difficult to recruit young lecturers because they preferred to look for jobs elsewhere. When ASUU succeeded in pressuring the government to continually increase salaries, all sorts of people trooped into the lecturing job.

ASSU knows majority of its members are too old to adapt themselves to new NUC proposed curriculum. All they want is salary increment, and not academic adjustment that will make life become more difficult for them to deliver. They want to continue to recommend their boring theoretical jargons to NUC. Any ASSU lecturer that can not adapt to new curriculum should be shown way out, no one is ready to listen to ASSU excuses that they are fighting for quality education. ASSU is not really sincere, they only want easy way out of teaching. Only salary increment makes them happy.

On part of NUC, it is not enough to recommend or enforce curriculum, qualified, competent and talented teachers that can transfer knowledge to students easily should be hired while those lecturers with merely academic title like professors, doctors etc that can't transfered knowledge to their students through simple teachings should be laid off and paid off. Those that can function in research areas with results should be retained for research only and not teaching.

What is the benefit of professors and Drs that can't transfer knowledge to students through simple teachings, and can't also do any meaniful academic research that will attract industries with minimal resources? Lay them off and pay them their retirement benefits instantly! Let's make our education system becomes more functional to help our growing population
This post aptly explains ASUU's position on CCMAS. The Nigerian university system actually lacks competent and talented teachers. Unfortunately, what it will take to have competent and talented teachers is quite complicated. As long as every person is paid same salary, no lecturer will be motivated to develop competency. A situation where every PhD Senior Lecturer is paid the same salary scale. A PhD in Computer Science that has world class certification in software development, machine learning, etc, is paid the same salary with PhD in Sociology without any proven practical competency; why should any lecturer aspire to be practically competent?

There's nothing I hate like Nigeria Higher institution curriculum.
In Europe,US,Asia and even Some Africa countries, the curriculum start teaching the core and main rudiments of the course in question right from your first semester, first year till graduation but in Nigeria, they will carry all sought of irrelevant courses to load you and leave the main course you came to study.
I'm quite surprised that ASUU is rejecting CCMAS. CCMAS has whittled down general studies credits from 36 to 12, which thereby creates more room for departments to teach students the main course from first year. The currently existing curriculum fills the first two years with so many irrelevant general studies courses. The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, started the idea of general studies courses; but when I was a UNN student years ago, we only had GS 101, 103, 105 and 207. NUC BMAS adopted GS courses and escalated GS courses to cover 36 credit units, which suffocates the main course of study. In the CCMAS, GS courses cover only 12 credit units, leaving room for more main course credits.
EducationRe: ASUU Rejects Curriculum Designed By NUC by Kei144(m): 7:48pm On Jun 30, 2023
CCMAS is definitely better than BMAS. Does ASUU realize that many Nigerian graduates are not hapy with currently existing curriculum of Nigerian universities? NUC upgrades the curriculum in such a way that universities will be more creative in adjusting their curricula to modern realities and ASUU is complaining. ASUU is actually portraying itself to be a useless association.

Mt. 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, [Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means the LORD saves.] because he will save his people from their sins.”

God’s purpose in bringing Jesus Christ into the world was clearly stated by the angel in Mt. 1:21; to save the world from sins. Sin is rebellion towards God.

Mt. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mt. 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Church is supposed to fulfill the Great Commission, which is all about teaching the world to obey every commandment of God.

2Ti. 1:8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,
2Ti. 1:9a who has saved us and called us to a holy life.

Every member of the Church has been called by God to a holy life.

PoliticsRe: War Is Over' – Ohanaeze Says, Appeals To Atiku, Peter Obi To Support Tinubu by Kei144(m): 4:36pm On Jun 13, 2023
The current leadership of Ohaneze is so useless. Utterances coming from them are so inappropriate. The other day they were fighting for Emefiele, as if Emefiele is an Igbo. Every Agbor man that i have ever met, including the former Primate of the Anglican Church, says that Agbor is not Igbo. Today they are talking trash about a case in court. All they want is for Tinubu to settle them.
