Some years ago, I teased guy who just graduated from Electronic Engineering in UNN by asking him if he was going to come back for Masters. He told me that he wanted to be sure he had actually completed the first degree he came for. He went on to lament that he had come to UNN to read Medicine, but unfortunately his O' Level results disqualified him, which made him to make the mistake of coming to Engineering.

EducationHow Big Is The Universe? by Kei144(op): 5:12pm On Jul 17, 2015
BBC recently highlighted an incredible interactive piece they put together last year which provides an engaging and informative approach to answering a question most everyone has wondered at some point in their lives: just how big is the Universe?

Employing some clever scrolling animations, the BBC page not only provides viewers with answers, but adds in all sorts of interesting facts about space for additional context and learning opportunities. For instance, the interactive graphic tells us that a Soviet dog named Laika once travelled 1,031 miles up into space atop the Sputnik 2 in 1957. As another example, the graphic tells us that GPS satellites are in orbit 12,555 miles above earth. Who knew?!

All in all, the interactive graphic is well worth checking out in its entirety. Make sure to hit the source link below to check it out.

Igbos should read the hand writing on the wall. The signs are clearly showing that it is time to begin to withdraw from other parts of Nigeria and return to Igboland. Even though it will not be easy if everybody returns to Igboland, it will be an opportunity for us to evolve good societal administration. Some Igbos join in criticising Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, without realising that he was able to administer Igboland in the worst of crisis.

If your ability to hear God has seemed flat lately, then get ready to hear and take action. God will speak to you more clearly in July, and you will receive instructions that will help you get established in what He is doing over the next few months.

August is going to bring the start of a new reality in your life. Prayers that you have prayed and things you have battled for a number of years are going to take root and be established.

Expect a major shift in September and watch as things kick into a higher gear.

Overcoming Curses by the Blood of Jesus

Ga. 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” [Deut. 21:23]
Ga. 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Curses include the effect of bad words spoken against a person by people that have authority over him, as well as the opposition by bad spirits due to words spoken in the past or due to evil covenants. When I pray against curses, I also include every problem and trouble that could come upon my life. All these problems and trouble are actually curses that came as a result of the fall of man. Problems and troubles are absent in heaven.

The Lord Jesus Christ became a curse on the cross for our sakes. He nailed every curse that is due to us to the cross of Calvary so that we may live blessedly. By his wounds e were healed. In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I overcome every curse upon my life, as well a every trouble and every problem in my life poverty in my life by the blood of Jesus Christ. I get rid of every trouble and problem in my life by the blood of Jesus Christ. Let the Holy Spirit of God keep away from me evil spirits, wicked people and trouble makers, as well as all their problems and troubles; I pray in the name of Jesus Christ."

Getting rid of Poverty by the Blood of Jesus

2Co. 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Poverty is inability to solve your problems; it doesn't mean lack of abundance of material possessions. If you can keep every member of your family always in good health even though you cannot afford to take them to hospital, you are rich. During his earthly ministry, Jesus had no money in his pocket, yet he was abundantly rich because there was no problem he could not solve. But God took away his power as he hung on the cross for our sins, and he suddenly became poor.

"Even though the Lord Jesus Christ was rich, for our sakes he became poor on the cross and thereby nailed poverty to the cross that we may never become poor. By his wounds e were healed. In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I overcome poverty in my life by the blood of Jesus Christ. I wash away from my life every obstacle to my becoming rich by the blood of Jesus Christ. Let the Holy Spirit of the Most High bring to me opportunities that will make me rich; I pray in the name of Jesus Christ."

Getting rid of Sickness by the Blood of Jesus

Mt. 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.” [Isaiah 53:4]

I heard my three year old son coughing badly and I immediately knew that he had caught acute flu. I called him to me and placed my hands on his back and his chest. Then I began to speak, even as he tried to move away from my hands.

"The Lord Jesus Christ took up our infirmities and bore all our diseases in his body on the cross that we may bear them no longer. By his wounds we were healed. In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I overcome flu and every other disease in this body by the blood of Jesus Christ. I flush every sickness out of this body by the blood of Jesus Christ. Let the Holy Spirit of the Most High put to death everything that afflicts this body with any form of sickness; I pray in the name of Jesus Christ."

Thereafter, my son went about playing, without coughing again. Do you know any person suffering from an incurable disease? If you have been baptized into Jesus Christ, you can heal that person though the application of the therapy of the blood of Jesus.

Getting rid of sin by the Blood of Jesus

If you have been baptized into Jesus Christ, you have the authority to overcome sins in your life by the blood of Jesus and by the word of your testimony. Testimony about what? You testify about what Jesus Christ accomplished for us on the cross.

1Pe. 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

"The Lord Jesus Christ himself bore all the sins of mankind in his body on the cross of Calvary that I may bear no sin in my own body. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I overcome sins in my body by the blood of Jesus Christ. I wash away every sin from my body by the blood of Jesus Christ. Let the Holy Spirit of the Most High God put to death in me every misdeed of the flesh, every act of the sinful nature; I pray in the name of Jesus Christ."

The principle of Cleansing

Ph. 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

In order to be able to will and to act according to God's good purpose, God must be working in you. It is "God working in you" that is called "Grace". The big question is, who does God work in?

He. 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

He. 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming — not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
He. 10:2 If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshippers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.
He. 10:3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
He. 10:4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

Ja. 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

God works in those who come near to Him by faith. We can go near to God by the blood of Jesus Christ. And we can continuously remain in the presence of God by the blood of Jesus.

Re. 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
Re. 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

When Satan decided to tempt Adam through Eve, he knew that he was bringing upon us sin, disease, poverty and curses. Sin, disease, poverty and curses are the original attacks of Satan against us. Through the blood of Jesus, salvation and the power and the kingdom of God, and the authority of His Christ come into us. We easily overcome all that Satan brought against us.

There is work in Salvation

Ph. 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence — continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling

The popular doctrine today says that any person who believes in Jesus Christ cannot sin, because s/he has automatically acquired the righteous nature of Jesus Christ. If you regard anything the person does to be sin, then something is wrong with you because the person is simply righteous. But when it comes to prosperity, the proponents of this kind of doctrine teach that you have to pay tithe and offering and sow seeds, if you want to prosper. So, salvation from poverty requires some work, but salvation from sin requires no work.

Mt. 23:23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices — mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law — justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practised the latter, without neglecting the former.
Mt. 23:24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
Mt. 23:25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
Mt. 23:26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

Jesus says that we should first cleanse ourselves of sin, before any other salvation. We need to achieve salvation from sin before any other salvation. In fact, salvation from sin makes salvation from disease, poverty and curses to be very easy. If Jesus says that we should clean, then we can clean.

Prerequisite for Salvation

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Jesus said, "whoever believes and is baptized". The prerequisites for salvation therefore are believing that Jesus Christ redeemed us by his death on the cross and being baptized into Jesus Christ.Lord. Every promise of God is yes in Christ (2Co. 1:20) and the way to get into Christ is through baptism. Once a person is in Christ, it becomes easy to experience God's promise of salvation through the redemption that we have in Christ.

Baptism in itself doesn't really save, but it puts a person on the pedestal to salvation.

In layman's terms, salvation is being saved from imminent destruction
Salvation, simply, is getting protected from destruction
or getting delivered from some extremely serious and not-good-at-all situation
In Christianity, salvation means to exit all that Satan brought upon mankind through the eating of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. There are four major consequences of the fall of man.

1. Sin
2. Dieases (death)
3. Poverty
4. Curses

Total slvation means freedom from ll these.

Christianity EtcMeaning Of Salvation by Kei144(op): 8:40pm On Jun 18, 2015
What exactly is the meaning of salvation, in Christianity? I will present my understanding here.

Jn. 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

Ro. 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

In Jn. 17:5, Jesus takes the position of Adam (mankind). Mankind had glory with God before the world began. When is "before the world began"? It is when Adam and Eve were in the Garden of God. The world began the day God kicked mankind out of His garden. Mankind became separated from God, hence the loss of glory.

We all know why God kicked mankind out of His presence. Mankind collected a certain fruit from Satan and ate it. The fruit is Satan's word or knowledge (of good and evil). See Deut. 8:3, Mt. 4:4. Mankind believed this word and put it to practice. The practice initiated mankind into the kingdom of Satan. Before long, all mankind became Satan worshipers and the kingdom of Satan interacted very closely with mankind. Succeeding generation of mankind entered into separate covenants with spirit beings in the kingdom of Satan. All those covenants with Satan's kingdom form the ancestral covenants hanging over every human being. The covenants simply mean that these human beings are Satan's possession--Satan' slaves. Salvation is total freedom from Satan's slavery. And unless there is total freedom, a human being cannot fully belong to God;which means that fullness of glory cannot be restored.

Ro. 6:16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey — whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Christianity EtcRe: Are We Saved By Faith Or By Water Baptism? by Kei144(m): 11:03am On Jun 18, 2015
The Making of a Covenant

Ge. 15:5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars — if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
Ge. 15:6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
Ge. 15:7 He also said to him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.”
Ge. 15:8 But Abram said, “O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I shall gain possession of it?”
Ge. 15:9 So the LORD said to him, “Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.”
Ge. 15:10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half.
Ge. 15:11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
Ge. 15:12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.
Ge. 15:13 Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and ill-treated four hundred years.
Ge. 15:14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterwards they will come out with great possessions.
Ge. 15:15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age.
Ge. 15:16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.”
Ge. 15:17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking brazier with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.
Ge. 15:18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river [Or Wadi] of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates —
Ge. 15:19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
Ge. 15:20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
Ge. 15:21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”

Abraham believed the word of God and it was counted to him as righteousness. Because of this righteousness by faith, God entered into a covenant with Abraham. The making of this covenant between God and Abraham involved a physical ceremony. God participated in the ceremony when Abraham finished his own side of the ceremony. What if Abraham had decided that the physical ceremony was unnecessary, after all he already believed God and God counted it for him as righteousness? would there have been any covenant? Without the covenant, what would have been the fate of Abraham?

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

If any person believes the good news, God counts it to her/him as righteousness. The word of God carries the instruction that such a person should go through a physical ceremony of water baptism. Water baptism is a covenant ceremony between God and a person. Some people say that water baptism was a Jewish rite. Well, it is the rite for entering into covenant with the Jewish God. If you don't like it, the covenant between your ancestors and the gods of your place will remain binding on you.

Christianity EtcRe: Are We Saved By Faith Or By Water Baptism? by Kei144(m): 7:11am On Jun 17, 2015
Jn. 3:22 After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptised.
Jn. 3:23 Now John also was baptising at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were constantly coming to be baptised.
Jn. 3:24 (This was before John was put in prison.)
Jn. 3:25 An argument developed between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing.
Jn. 3:26 They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan — the one you testified about — well, he is baptising, and everyone is going to him.”
Jn. 3:27 To this John replied, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven.
Jn. 3:28 You yourselves can testify that I said, `I am not the Christ but am sent ahead of him.’
Jn. 3:29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
Jn. 3:30 He must become greater; I must become less.

Jn. 4:1 The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining and baptising more disciples than John,
Jn. 4:2 although in fact it was not Jesus who baptised, but his disciples.

Any pastor who does not baptize as Jesus himself did, is not following the example of Jesus. Water baptism is called ceremonial washing because it is a ceremony or rite of passage from the old man to the new man. God Himself instituted the ceremony and Jesus upheld the ceremony during his earthly ministry. I cannot follow any pastor or evangelist or prophet that looks down on a ceremony that Jesus upheld during his earthly ministry.

Tit. 3:4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,
Tit. 3:5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
Tit. 3:6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour,
Tit. 3:7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

Ceremonial washing (water baptism) is for rebirth (dying to the old man and being reborn in the new man). Holy Spirit baptism is for renewal of the inner man. Water baptism is an adoption ceremony, which results in a name change (baptized into the name of Jesus--Acts 8:16, 1Co. 1:13).

Mt. 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Mt. 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Baptisms are gates or initiations. Some people think that faith means accepting a principle or doctrine in your mind.

Ja. 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Ro. 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death?
Ro. 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

You believe in your mind that Jesus saved you by dying on the cross for you. You even confess it with your mouth. You sing hymns and praises about it. So, you are saved. Isn't it? But you cannot perform a rite of passage from the realm of the old man (Adam) to the realm of the new man (Jesus Christ). You came into the world as a branch of the old tree (Mt. 13:32). While you are still part of the old tree, you are told to perform the rite of passage (baptism) so that you disconnect from the old tree and be grafted into the new tree (Jn. 15:5), you refuse and begin to claim that in your mind you already belong in the new tree and you call it faith. Well, even though you have faith, without performing the rite of passage, your faith is dead. It is through water baptism that a person dies to (or disconnects from) the old man and is raised up in the new man.

1Pe. 3:21 It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Also pointed out to you, that John 3:5's "... no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water ..." has nothing whatsover to do with "baptism in water" as you posted or claimed.

Do you agree that John 3:5's "... no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water ..." has nothing whatsover to do with "baptism in physical or literal water"?
Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

He. 1:1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
He. 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made
the universe.

You believe that being born of water refers to the word of God raining on a person. Can you see what Jesus says Mk. 16:16? What exactly do you call word of God? Is it whatever your pastor says, or whatever any person calls "word of God"? Once again, I tell you that Jesus alone is my reference, and not any pastor, neither any doctrine.

Jn. 12:47 “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.
Jn. 12:48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
Jn. 12:49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.
Jn. 12:50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”
