1Pe. 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

One big problem that the Church has is a misunderstanding of who Jesus Christ really is. The general understanding is that God transformed Himself into a human being and was known as Jesus. This happens to be a big excuse for Christians to never aspire to be like Jesus. How can you be like Jesus if you are not God? But the reality is that Jesus was pure human like me and you. The only difference between him and us is that he is not a descendant of Adam, but rather a new creation of mankind. He grew mightily in the Holy Spirit and ultimately transformed from mortal to divinity. Therefore, the converse of what most Christians believe is the real truth. Instead of God transforming into the man Jesus, the man Jesus actually grew in the Spirit and transformed into a divine being. The purpose of being a follower of Jesus is to also transform, like him, into divinity.

Ro. 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Mt. 3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John.
Mt. 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
Mt. 3:17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
Mt. 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.
Mt. 4:2 After fasting for forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
Mt. 4:3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Mt. 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: `Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Jesus was born from above (or born again) shortly after he was baptized by John the Baptist in water. Up to this time, Jesus was not known for doing great works. As soon as he was born from above, the Spirit drove him into the desert where he was tempted by Satan. The same thing happens to everyone that is really born again. Life turns into desert. You realize that yielding to some fleshly desires is sin, so you refrain from satisfying those desires (fasting). Satan begins to tempt you to satisfy the flesh, so as to prevent you from growing in the Spirit. The only way out is to continually study God’s word and pray for God to enable you by His Holy Spirit to always obey His word. God responds to such a prayer by giving more of His Spirit.

Mt. 4:5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
Mt. 4:6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “`He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
Mt. 4:7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: `Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

A person who is born again is a son of God. Any person who has this understanding begins to carry herself/himself as a son of God and that carries a lot of weight. Satan immediately attacks such a person with the sin of pride. The person will want to show off that God is always with her/him and in the process tempts God. Therefore, a born again Christian needs to pray for spirit of humility.

Mt. 4:8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendour.
Mt. 4:9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Mt. 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: `Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
Mt. 4:11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Another way Satan limits a person’s growth in the Spirit is to tempt the person with worldly glory—material wealth, political power, political influence, etc. Craving for worldly glory pushes people into occultism. Therefore, a born again Christian needs to pray for spirit of contentment and to be able to focus on things above (Col 3:2).

[size=14pt]Closing of the door[/size]

Re. 12:1 A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
Re. 12:2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
Re. 12:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron sceptre. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.

The sign of Re. 12:1-5 is an astronomical sign that marks the time of the adoption of the sons of God. Modern Astronomy has enabled us to know that the sign of Re. 12:1-2 will occur in the sky on 23rd September, 2017. The sons of God will be adopted in November, 2017; that is when the rapture will take place.

Make every effort to win God’s approval before the door closes.

Make every effort to win God’s approval, that he may admit you into His kingdom. If you seek the world’s approval, you cannot get God’s approval.

Jn. 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
Jn. 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

1Ti. 2:3 This is good, and pleases God our Saviour,
1Ti. 2:4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

God wants all human beings to know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Are you participating in getting people to know the truth? That is a very important way to win God’s approval.

Mk. 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
Mk. 16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

It is easy to know if you are progressing towards the kingdom of God. If you are making progress, the signs of Mk.6:17-18 will be visible in your life. In Jn. 14:21,23, Jesus promises anyone who loves him continual presence of God. You know if the presence of God is always with you. If you are making progress towards the kingdom of God, the presence of God will continually be with you. I am a witness.

[size=14pt]The narrow Door[/size]

Let us locate the narrow door. The narrow door is all about a covenant that God established between Himself and mankind.

He. 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance — now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

He. 9:16 In the case of a will, [Same Greek word as covenant; also in verse 17] it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it,
He. 9:17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living.

Jesus Christ mediated a covenant between God and mankind. Since a covenant or will can only go into effect when the person who made it has died and because God cannot die, God had to represent Himself with His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus died in place of God, so that God’s will for man can go into effect. What are the terms of this covenant between God and mankind?

Jn. 6:28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jn. 6:29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Jn. 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The terms of the covenant between God and mankind is that everyone who looks to Jesus and believes in him shall become an eternal son of God.

He. 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Lk. 9:23 Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

First of all, do you believe that this covenant between God and mankind is real? If you believe, then you realize that God has set before you an opportunity to be glorified. In order to attain the glory, you must fix your eyes on Jesus and endure the cross as he did. Well, you will not have to endure the physical cross like he did, but you will surely endure the emotional cross like he did.

Fixing your eyes on Jesus Christ means to seek to live the way Jesus Christ lived and to obey His words. Jesus began his earthly ministry by going to the man of God of his time, John the Baptist, for baptism in water and in the Holy Spirit. You must begin your journey to the kingdom of God exactly the same way: go to a real man of God and get baptized in water and then let the man of God pray the Holy Spirit into you.

Lk. 16:13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

Col. 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Col. 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Col. 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

If you want to seek the kingdom of God, you must kill aspirations for worldly greatness. Consider yourself dead to worldly aspirations. Sometime in 1989, I was a young engineer with a new telecoms company in Lagos, Nigeria. Our MD left the company in the hands of we three young engineers and concentrated his attention on his Estate Surveying company. So, we three young engineers were jostling for prominence. Then I was a member of the Deeper Life Bible Church and Kumuyi was the Pastor of the only Deeper Life church in Lagos then. On a certain day I went for the weekly Bible Study. As Kumuyi was ministering, he suddenly shouted, “Some of you claim to be children of God, but in your offices you struggle for position.” The word struck my heart like an arrow and I immediately repented. My colleagues in the office noticed a sudden change in my attitude and the change became permanent. I now believe that Kumuyi’s word may have saved my life, because struggle for position leads to all sorts of things. That was when I began to practice dying to the ways of this world in order to become a real child of God.

[size=14pt]Timing of the Adoption[/size]

God revealed an astronomical sign that marks the time that He will adopt His sons in Re. 12:1-5. Modern Astronomy has enabled us to know that the sign of Re. 12:1-2 will occur in the sky on 23rd September, 2017. The sons of God will be adopted in November, 2017; that is when the rapture will take place. Indeed the kingdom of God is near. You may not believe it, but it is true.

We have between now and November 2017 to make sure not only that we have been born from above, but also that we do so many things that please God, so much that He will be pleased to adopt us as His eternal sons. All it takes to please God is to live exactly as Jesus lived. Take special note of Eph. 5:5; No immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Lk. 21:34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
Mt. 22:14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

[size=14pt]Are you a prodigal son?[/size]

If you have been born from above, you have been born by God, but you have not yet been adopted as a son of God. The Holy Spirit that God has given you is a tiny part or deposit of the inheritance due to you as a son of God. God is watching you to see what you will do with the deposit already given to you. Will you fritter it away or invest it in the work of God and thereby grow in the Spirit? The work of God is to live like another Jesus. Jesus is the only human that God has already adopted as His Son. If you want God to also adopt you as His Son, you must learn to live as Jesus lived. God only adopts those who please Him. What you do with the deposit of the Spirit that God gave you when you were born from above will determine whether or not God will adopt you as His eternal son.

Mt. 25:14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them.
Mt. 25:15 To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.
Mt. 25:19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.
Mt. 25:20 The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. `Master,’ he said, `you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’
Mt. 25:21 “His master replied, `Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Mt. 25:24 “Then the man who had received the one talent came. `Master,’ he said, `I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
Mt. 25:25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
Mt. 25:29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
Mt. 25:30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Mt. 3:17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
Jn. 8:29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.”

[size=14pt]Do you have God’s spiritual DNA?[/size]

Jn. 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no-one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” [Or born from above]
Jn. 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is
born of water and the Spirit.

In order to acquire God’s spiritual DNA, you must be born from above. Jesus said that being born again requires being born of water and being born of the Spirit. Being born of water is baptism in water. Being born of the Holy Spirit is baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

i. The Eastern Goverments are fundamentally corrupt; A visit to present day Imo and Abia will attest to the corruption and rot that have plagued the region. These leaders have all FAILED to develop the east with the resources given to them. If they had made the East the "dubai" of Nigeria, everyone including the international community would have taken the cry for Biafra serious. The argument would be if the "Biafran leaders" can develop their region with the "little" resources given them, it is only fair they secede and do even more for their people and their region. However, this is not the case. A Biafran state will only lead to another mini civil war, and a fight for resources and wealth among Biafrans.

This Cram Jones write up is a very great one. I want to focus on what he referred to as corruption of Igbo leaders. The real problem is lust for power. It is actually a problem that plagues the whole of Africa, especially Nigeria. It is actually the reason why it is so difficult for Africa to develop. Every person lusts for power, for personal gains (corruption). No person cares about progress of the society. A people who care for progress of the society will look for the best hands to pilot the affairs of the society and everybody will gain. It is very unfortunate that the average Igbo does not care about progress of his/her society. It is always me first; the society can go to hell. That is one clear reason why a Biafra republic is bound to be a great disappointment. Igbos will never allow the best hands to pilot the affairs of Biafra. See what happened when Soludo contested for governorship of Anambra State. Even though he presented a manifesto that only Awolowo could ever have presented something as interesting as it, Peter Obi killed any possibility of such a manifesto being experimented with.

The Jewish Talmud, an important Jewish text used to identify religious Jewish law and the Moses five books known as the Torah indicates that,

In 70 AD, the Roman Army conquered Israel ending over 1,000 years of Jewish rule over the Holy land. The Romans annihilated Israel; there was great unbelievable suffering of the Jews and on the 9th of Av according to the Hebrew calendar or August 4th 70 AD, the Romans destroyed the 2nd temple.

3rd occurrence in 162-163 AD

Passover, 17th April 162 AD – Blood moon
Sukkot, 11th October 162 AD – Blood moon
Passover, 6th April 163 AD – Blood moon

Event: – Colosseum Martyrs & World Wide Plague

These four blood moons coincided with the persecution of Jews and Christians in the history of the Roman Empire. The persecution occurred during and after the four blood moons coinciding with Jewish feasts; Passover and Sukkot.

In addition, the four blood moons coincided with famine and plague. Within 3 years the Antonine Plague killed a third of the Roman Empire’s population. The Tiber River which flows through the city of Rome flooded it’s banks in the Spring of 162 AD, killing most animals in Rome and destroying much of the city. A severe Famine resulted.

Event: – Charlemagne halts Islamic invasion of Europe

Four blood moons occurred on the Jewish Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in 795–796 AD while King Charlemagne of the Holy Roman Empire established a DMZ buffer zone between France and Spain, ending centuries of Arab invasions into Western Europe.

5th occurrence in 842-843 AD

Event: – Dividing of Rome Empire and persecution of Jews

In Europe, Muslims had been attacking Sicily for several years as they attempted to conquer Italy and Europe, and this continued as they attacked and captured Messina in Sicily in 842.

In 843 the Treaty of Verdun divided the Holy Roman Empire into three parts. This affected Jews adversely because the French were tolerant of Jews, but when the French no longer had power over most of Europe, then anti-Jewish feelings were allowed to manifest, leading to persecution of the Jews.

6th occurrence in 860-861 AD

Event: – Persecution of Jews by Russians and Christians persecution by communists

Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius began translating part of the Bible into the Old Slavonic language, which helped in the conversion of the Slavs (Russians). This later led to a great persecution of the Jews by the Russian Christians. The Russian Christians were themselves later severely persecuted by the Communists.

In 861 Muhammed al-Mudabbir arrived in Egypt and tripled the jizya (tax) on Christians and Jews. Because so many could not pay the tax, they filled the prisons. The churches were looted and confiscated.

7th occurrence in 1493-1494

Over 200,000 Jews were expelled from Spain. Tens of thousands of them died while trying to reach safety.

Horrible crimes were committed against the Jews including knifing deaths by brigands who believed a terrible rumor that they had swallowed gold and diamonds, so they literally searched for treasures in the stomachs of the expelled Jews.

The four blood moons coincided with the Six Day War in 1967, when Israel liberated Jerusalem and captured additional land. Jews were able to return to Jerusalem after 2000 years of exile.

And if there is a total solar eclipse within the four blood moons with the solar eclipse also coinciding with a Jewish feast, there is an event for the world.

Too many people have died on that road. I myself nearly died on it in January 1998.
