[b] A socio-political group in the South-South, ekpeye Youth Congress (EYC), has dismissed claims in some quarters that the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan empowered the people of the region.

The group made this known in a statement jointly signed by its president-general and acting secretary, emenike Uriah Musa and Anthony Onyemachi. The group dismissed the purported assertion made by Senator Shehu Sani, that the people of the Niger Delta were the major beneficiaries of Jonathan’s administration.

According to Daily Trust the group said that the Ijaws were the main beneficiaries of the appointments and programmes carried out throughout the period Jonathan served as president.

The group said: “The attention of the ekpeye Youth Congress (EYC) World-Wide has been drawn to the vituperations of one Mallam Shehu Sani, Senator Representing Kaduna North Senatorial District in the print media, to the effect that the people of Niger Delta are the only ones who benefited in political appointments and infrastructural development in the former President Goodluck Jonathan Administration, and that the North and South West did not benefit.”

The group added that apart from the Ijaws, other major ethnic groups like the Urhobos, Ibibios, Anangs, Ogonis, Efiks, Ikwerres, Etches, Ekpeyes, Ndokwas,Ogojas, Ogbas as well as Binis, while others were left out.

“The beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme were 90% of Ijaw extraction,” the group said.

Some years back in PH, an economic conference was held for South South states and it was very revelling. The speakers spoke at length on the future. Rivers brought Greater PH, Akwa Ibom with her own I have forgotten, Cross River same even Edo and Delta were fully represented but when partisan politics came in, it killed the succession of that great event to review progress of their plans. This is where the South West beats us hands down. We must learn to bury partisan politics for regional interest.

If these funds were for developmental project , I would have kept quite but seeing the man is not foresighted and doesn't even deserve to be a Governor.

With his local government standard roads of potholes filling and shutting down other sectors in the state. He just requested for another 22billion naira from Zenith bank. For what? What is he even doing with all these monies? LGA workers have not been paid for the last 3months because he had refused to summon JA meeting while civil servants salaries have been deducted on monthly basis and they usually come late.
As you read this, Chief Wike has received in excess of 160B Federal allocation,over 50B 13% derivation.
Chief Wike also received more than 15B excess crude fund,10B ecology fund and over 70B as IGR.
Despite these, Chief Wike continues to borrow our dear state into debt and an uncertain future. He has written to a bank for another 10B loan....

He was diagnosed of Typhoid fever at a private hospital and was under going treatment on it. When he wasn't responding to the treatment he was rushed to LUTH where he was now diagnosed of meningitis, one week later he died at a specialist hospital at Surulere. My question are:

What exactly is been thought in our various teaching hospitals?

How can doctors be consistent in making wrong diagnoses yet non of them licenses has ever been seized?

Do we go back to local herbs for some ailment since even LUTH could save the life of this promising young man?
