Longeria: I Live in Rivers State, I can tell anyone who cares to listen that rivers state Apc only exist in three places, internet, newspapers and Rivers state government house. You need to come here to realise that APC is just an empty bottle. You are serial liar. From your statement you live in Rivers, the question: where in Rivers do you live? APC is in every unit in Rivers State. APC can only get stronger and better in the state. Does living close to some GDI touts and liars like you means anything? The truth of the matter, during the election proper, everyone will go back their polling units. I believe you too will go to your state and we will know if APC is actually in Rivers or not. |
I had a terrible night sleep no thanks to the bloody scam called privatization of PHCN. OP, folks are tired of complaining, Peeps can longer waste their precious time whinnying and trolling on NL Politics section. Just wait and see. Governing Nigeria is not a rocket science but the cluelessness or lets say the greed of our leaders are the main reason things are not working out as plan. I happened to be in some international social media site; and I will tell you I have been patriotic over there. I am never critical of our government like I do here over there. Do you know what the international community think of us? we are like a laughing stock with a blind shepherd taken millions of his flocks to abyss of doom. OP wake up!!! Cos tomorrow, you may have no where to run to when the chips are down. People are only tired of complaining not because they are losing the plot. |
englishmart: you are logically sound. You were more logical in your analysis, was just toeing your line. |
omar22: Look 10 yrs ago when Cech arrived most Chelsea fans said he will be on the bench for the fans favourite Carlo Cudicini but Jose said Cech is my #1 now the role is reverse, if Jose says that Cech is his number 2 then so be it, but the young Belgian wont accept been number 2 to anyone...You are truly a blue. Don't mind the lady. What ever happens to Mikel is his fault. I don't think Jose will tell Mikel not to be pragmatic in his game. Essien was a beast under Jose while Kalou who joined the same season with Mikel never lost his attacking instinct allthough can be annoying sometimes. J.Cole played his best football under Jose and with subsequent managers until he left and you know how skillful the lad was then. The truth Mikel wasn't interested in growing (am his biggest fan tbf) as a footballer, it has nothing to do with Chelsea style of play. On Courtoise and Cech, I would keep both. Reasons, we are a club fighting at all fronts, the competition among them will help our course as the season progresses Finally, I must commend you on what you just said about Carlo Cudicini, he won the best GK the season before Cech arrived. I was surprise he lost his place knowing his reflexes are second to known. He saves deflections with ease. Lets see how the season pans out. |

BrokenTV: This is how a governor works, being proactive, not some bunch of others blaming Mr president for the security of their state without them doing nothing. The President is a hypocrite. He stopped Rivers high tech surveillance jet that will manned by Naval to monitor kidnappers and oil thieves in our creeks because Amaechi is in opposition. What you are celebrating here is nothing new. If Obiano cross over to the Opposition, you will see how he wont have a say in security. Security operatives will take orders from ministers instead from him. Finally, Insecurity looks political. |

berem: my bad! I promise to take pictures anytime I pass that area again. Anyone who knows Ejigbo very well will at least agree with me about what I am saying.Jakande Estate is worst off. Bar some few roads around Cele, I don't think much have been done around Agu area. Isolo LGA is just farked. |
blocker:Oyegun is their chairman and is a Muslim while PDP Chairman Muazu is a strict Christian. <applause> |
My Igbo brothers if not for opposition, this second Niger Bridge wouldn't have materialized. You know how long it took for the FG to fulfil its ground breaking event since 2011 election promise. We are moving forward because of vibrant opposition. The work of opposition is to criticize and give solution which Okechukwu Osita did in his statement. After blaming the PDP government for failing to make Enugu State productive. He suggested coal would have been an alternative. Igbos, una wise pass like this na. |
Sloan: This is another evidence that Nigerians deserve the bad governance they get and frustration of their destinies! Even if Okorocha is a bad governor, how will a party that failed for over 10 years in the state be a better alternative when it can go to the extent of paying 2.6 B to remove a sitting governor? Nigerians complain of bad leaders, but leaders of today are taken from the followership. It means Nigeria is bad because most Nigerians are bad and therefore deserve the bad leadership they get!Imo State happens to be a member state of NDDC and they have rep there all PDP members. Ask anti-Rochas here to point out what project this commission turn PDP have done for them. |
This is my problem with my Igbo brothers. Can someone compare Rochas government with any PDP govt in Imo? Is a shame people come on NL to abuse the man without them knowing where their polling units are. I was in one village close to Okigwe earlier this year, the villagers don't give a fark about Muslim part or not. The love for Rochas was so strong especially the village women that I ask myself if it is the same man they discuss on nairaland. The gang up of failed politician is not only exclusive in Imo State PDP. Here in Rivers, politicians that couldn't complete a km road during their time are making noise while ex militants now play godfather in politics. Is sad, but God works in mysterious ways. |
Solutions not more confusion. How will privatization of our health institution help us out? Kerison Hospital and Maxilofacial Hospital are Rivers State property but a foreign firm is managing them. Medical services are usually free for registered health centres patients referred to by the doctors cos the state govt still fund those hospitals. If the privatization will be like the Rivers model. Then, I support it 100% but if is like PHCN privatization. Forget it, let the rot continue. Doctors please help out. |
Ngige just support the FG to construct it first. When they finished it, you can take them to court. Thats common sense. I even doubt if motorists will even wanna pay. |
brainpulse: What annoys one is that Gej is always quick to say NNPC is not corrupt even when it is glaring to everyone. I pity them all from the south south that the gross corruption is perpetuated even by their very own tribes men they blindly defend and don't care about them in principleNot everyone here in south-south |
oduastates: The people beating the drums of war are theDon't confuse resource control with division. Same way you guys ask for regional govt. |

phantom, work is going on gradually at Trans-Kalabari road, Ombo Isokiariari just finish the sand filling of last year. They started from Tombia axis close to Bukuma, Degema LGA (not Buguma) 10mins away by water from Rumulomeni. I don't know if they are done with the bridge that crosses from Ogbakiri to Tombia. I will find out from a reliable source cos Kalabari peeps here on NL are usually anti-Amaechi, they won't say the truth. Meanwhile, Rivogo just completed the last bridge to Kalibiama (Opobo) at the on going Unity road. So is 6km remaining to Opobo Main town with just little culverts here and there. This is the Rainbow construction so far.

phantom: lol......when I saw odili at the national conference, I just shook my head. where was tam David west?where was Diete spiff?NDDC projects are not really FG projects but since the President appoint who becomes the members and directors or chairmen there. It is erroneous assume what ever project carried out by the board is a FG project. See, NDDC is funded by the 9 oil producing states and multinational oil companies with the FG to provide 15%. But, since the inception of OBJ till date, the FG is yet to release or fund her thus owing the commission almost 1trillion naira. Since the centre still call the shot on.NDDC, the state government not loyal to the centre can't do anything. Even the members are drafted from the ruling party. Is sad to see the FG name NDDC projects which is funded by the oil producing states as her project To me, NDDC is another ATM to PDP god-fathers in Niger Delta. Their substandard project speaks volume of them. The only project NDDC have done I will compliment them is a hostel inside UST campus bar that they are useless. They can't even do Igwurita- Ochokocho- Etche road for years now, what of Elele-Imo road? If you come my community you will see several abandon projects by them. Is sad, that same them complaining of poor funding are the ones building mansions and changing fleet of cars. |
chukel: looks like this thread is just between kelsoft and phantom. i am thrilled. i am utterly impressed. i am blown away by these projects. kelsoft, u guys shud try and get before and after pictures. Amaechi is really working, no doubt. haters will never say the truth. imagine if odili did just half of what amaechi has done in his 8yrs in government, rivers would have been the pride of the nation by now. i wish my imo state can get much of these projects. keep the pictures coming. broadcast the wonderful works. people are really not aware. when the time is right, i am sure leaving yenagoa for my darling PH. relocation tins on my mind. Thanks brother, I did this thread cos of wrong impression that Monorail project is stalling projects in PH. The truth is, all these pictures are in his second tenure. Some where started late 2012, and others early 2013. There are more projects pix I should have posted but will do that next time. I didn't upload the completed roads in his second tenure like G.U Ake dualised road which started in 2012 and was completed in 2013. Okru road, Abuloma road and others. The new School of Nursing going on at Old UPTH site almost completed Bridges at Unity road (once done in his second tenure) Iwofe road, D/Line and Old GRA roads General Hospital at Etche All 5 model completed and furnished model secondary schools in 5 different LGAs Talking about Odili, Is so sad that, he is the one rep us and talking about development in the ongoing national conference |
