ujoinme: can u point out any of the claims thats unsubstantiated? you guys dont wanna believe anything that dosent fit your stereotype you all have of bayelsa, dont worry give bayelsa a few more years and you all will be suprised. dont worry sterotypes are made to be broken, and bayelsa is ready to tango.I will be one of the happiest people if just 3 of the items will commence and get to half before Dickson second tenure. See I know that state, they may look good on paper but since they are not hotels. Doubt it will be achieved. Any where aside Bayelsa, those projects would have commenced. |

Not just on the pages on newspaper |
Some of the peeps commenting didn't even read the article. They just want to criticize because the man is critical of their President. Why not counter his arguments, he is speaking for the North and so what? Bar our southern politicians always talking about resource control. What else have they say that is beneficial to the south? |

Gov. Seriake Dickson, please do all you can to make your state great. Thank God you have started realising that you area a Governor not a steward to Mama Peace. |

Has the grand master of Ogboni requested for an Octogenarian? GDI over to you. *dust hands* |
Nyeweli Omunakwe Nyeche Nsirim, the paramount ruler and Apiti of Rumueme community in Obio Akpor local government area of Rivers state has petitioned the Inspector General of Police on the allegation that his son, Timothy Nsirim who is the immediate past chairman of Obio- Akpor LGA has threatened to kill him. The royal octogenarian in a two page petition which he sent to Louis Edet House, Abuja, the headquarters of the Nigeria Police, told the police that his son Timothy Nsirim has threatened to kill him and other of his children because of properties belonging to him. The Chief appealed to the security agents not to take the matter lightly because according to him, the immediate past Obio Akpor council boss has a lot of money. He said he was helpless especially since the courts in Rivers state are currently not working and he does not want to believe his son’s threat is an empty one. The Apiti of Rumueme said the ex Obio Akpor council boss “threatened not only me, he threatened most of my children because he is determined to carry everything belonging to me , he wants to carry all my personal land and convert it to his own because he has plenty money, and he threatened to kill me and my other children”. The former Obio Akpor council boss has however denied the allegation, saying it is unthinkable for him to attempt killing his over 80 years old father. |

eaglechild: I hope it comes to pass, these are the governors who sat idly by and allowed Boko Haram to fester.Shekarau? Sheriff? Yero? Yuguda who after the killing of corp members says it is the wish of Allah. Next... |
lloydtruth: if their hands are clean then there is nothing to worry aboutNo of constituencies = 30 PDP = 3 APC = 27 m.premiumtimesng.com/news/152914-27-of-30-sokoto-legislators-decamp-to-apc.html |
sopoundz: We r waiting 4 d impeachment here o! Don't 4gt rivers state o! *waving*Rivers State? I challenged the President to go back and try his strength again. Rubbish!!! If you are from Rivers, you wont be talking about impeachment for now due to ethnic sentiments. One thing I assure you and your likes, GEJ cannot determine who succeeds CRA. My unit will vote 100% against PDP in all level of the elections come next year February unless something changes |
obeski13: .i am looking beyond the premier league.chelsea is always a contender in champions league.when u look at teams like barcelona, real madrid and d caliber of players they av bought,u will agree wit me dat d team need fortificationBarcelonia have Messi, Suarez and Neymar Real Madrid have Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema B.Munich have Ribery, Robben and Muller while Chelsea now have Hazard, Costa and one of Oscar, Willian or Shirley to complete the musketeers. My point the above team formation allows them to start with all three up fronts and these players bar Benzema, Muller and to an extent Suarez are not out and out strikers, they are mostly wingers. Unless we should be looking at poaching Di Maria from the noses of PSG then the other teams are on par with us. |
obeski13: We need one more striker to compliment costa, and d coach should sell ramires.I think is time to look inward. Schrulle can do a pretty job there when called upon and we still have Lukaku and Torres. Yes the latter must have dissapointed us but you cannot rule out his contribution. Even Bamford was descent yesterday, comparing our fronts 3 with our English rivals, i don't we are that bad. |
otokx: There is a limit to deception.2nd Niger Bridge may follow the same line. This govt keep deceiving themselves since Igbos no wan get sense |
talktimi: 50 billion naira for a 2km monorail... AMAECHI !! AMAECHI !! AMAECHI !!Sharrap!!! Is not 2km but 4km. Google the cost of monorail instead of spewing rubbish here. Beside he can decide to share the money among PDP chieftains. He will get honoured and people will give him titles and all that and nothing will happen |
Have they commissioned the port? |
Don't take Omisore's threat to the gutter or APC will regret this in their entire life. Whether he ordered or orchestrated or masterminded; PDP are already working hard to win Osun State. Here in Rivers, Ateke who once razed down his community is a foot soldier of GEJ government and has declared to run for the Gubernatorial seat under PDP. So, Osun State APC Be warned!! |
abatically: Bros, I've lived in the West for many years. Yes racism does exist (I never said it doesn't), but it is not as much as we make it look. The reason lots of people think this way is they have it in their head, like they are always looking for a racist situation and strike at every slight opportunity. If a policeman stops a white man speeding above recommended speed limit and asks for his papers, ITS ALL GOOD. But when the same policeman stops a black man for the same offense it becomes RACISM.Too intelligent for the people you are dealing with. |
Let the banter begin!!! |
Like as you know, we play our first preseason tomorrow against Wycombe. We have been able to add Costa, Fabregas and Pascilic, although the latter looks to be heading into our U21. Having said all these. Do you think we have the personnels to challenge all fronts (League, CL, FA Cup and League cup)? Do we have the squad depth to achieve the above questions? What areas do you guys think need strengthening, rumour going round on Pogba, with almost £60m as his buy out clause is he worth it? Considering FFP and also considering we may not be doing that bad with MVG coming back from injury, looks like a fresh signing to me, we still have Matic who is now available for UCL games, Ramires and Mikel. Since Lampard and Luiz who deputized sometimes in the middle. Do you think we should splash the cash there? Left back? Thoughts? |
I watched the proceeding on RSTV. Kwanee, Chidi and others. Forget the matter. By the way why are PDP e-rats going over the moon for a summon of a commissioner to explain how the state will manage her resources now the allocation is dwindling no thanks to FG who has keep using excuses of short fall on phantom oil theft of 400,000 barrels per month without the figure changing. It seems the commentators didnt even read the article very well. FYI, Rivers lawmakers will eat your money and ditch you. It happened when Amaechi was a Speaker under Odili when the maze was smuggle out on the d-day that initiated the famous 'k-leg' and also during last year Assembly fracas when after sharing FG 100million naira per head decided to tell the centre 'go fark ursef' |
...... |
ukobia: To hell with your tribalistic tendencies. You were among the people that question Amaechi's movement at Ekiti last year. Beside, are you illegible to vote come August in Ekiti? |
Awwal1st: How?Welcome to the Politics Section. |
Please don't listen to all these PDP e-rats people over here. |
jakiedudu: supporters of APC whining as usual. The real supporters of APC are PDP. Are Shekarau and Sheriff no longer aiding terrorists? Yeye dey smell. |
PRESS RELEASE GDI / PDP PLAN TO RIG 2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS UNCOVERED The All Progressives Congress (APC) has uncovered a noxious, criminal and satanic scheme by the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rig the 2015 general elections in Rivers State. This followed credible intelligence the APC received from our members who operate within the hierarchy of the GDI/PDP, detailing the modus operandi of the rigging plan. Part of the plot is the ongoing collation of 100 names per unit across Rivers State by the GDI under the facade of arranging Federal Government SURE-P payments for their members. The report indicates that the real reason for collating the names is to submit same to the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for supply of permanent plastic Identification (ID) Cards which will be a compulsory condition for voting in the 2015 general elections. The report reveals that INEC will deliberately work to cause a mix-up with the state voters register and permanent plastic voters’ cards whereas those of the PDP members earlier submitted by the GDI will receive all their permanent voters’ cards to enable them vote in the forth-coming elections. Part of the report reveals that the plan was hatched by the founder and grand patron of the GDI and leader of the PDP in Rivers State, Bar. Nyesom Wike who is also the junior Minister of Education, in collusion with highly-placed INEC officials working to safeguard the interests of the PDP and the Presidency. We would like to warn the PDP and INEC to abandon such an evil plan as the APC will take all necessary and legal steps to ensure that the 2015 general elections in Rivers State are not rigged by the PDP. We are also aware that the PDP’s plan ‘A’ is the use of the Army, Police and other security agents to influence votes for the PDP but we can assure the PDP that the APC in Rivers State will ensure that it fails as we have our own suiting antidote for their criminal agenda. We urge INEC to call its personnel, no matter how highly-placed, to order and to resist the temptation of colluding with the PDP and its agents to rig the 2015 general elections. We also urge all well-meaning Rivers people to always resist impunity and vigorously protect their rights under any and every circumstances. Chris Finebone State Publicity Secretary Monday July 14, 2014 |
I want to call on the Senate under your able leadership to rise and defend Section 80 (4) of the Constitution which explicitly provides that: “No moneys shall be withdrawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund or any other public fund of the Federation, except in the manner prescribed by the National Assembly.” Therefore, I hold that Diezani and the NNPC have no right whatsoever to arrogate to themselves authority to deduct any amount to "avert energy crisis", be it subsidy, repair of burst pipes or pipeline protection from whatever comes to them as oil revenue until such moneys are paid into the Consolidated Funds of the Federation and such funds appropriated through an Act of parliament and signed into law by Mr. President. In view of the above, I earnestly urge you to probe the Senate Committee on Finance over this heist and anti-people report of the Senate Committee on Finance and henceforth, ensure that the Senate under your able leadership does not sell Nigeria. Thanks. Signed, Comrade Timi Frank At press time, none of those named in the above note have offered a response, or a rebuttal to the points raised in this letter. saharareporters.com/2014/07/14/case-missing-20-billion-draws-fire-comrade-timi-frank |
