My younger brother was just posted to Kano State and we are presently thinking of redeploying him back south. I watched AIT this morning where one of the directors by name Anthony Ani claimed that some prospective corpers actually requested to be posted to these trouble states. The protesters should look at redeploying their children instead wasting their precious time.

How is the condition of the road? Yes the "trans amadi" road.
I have traveled to quite a handful of places in the north and there is no state, at least the ones that I have been to with a road like that in the middle if town. NONE!!

Go back to my last contribution and understand the issue on ground. Igbos are being used as a fishing bait for 2015 elections by fellow Igbos because of money. They are trying to create an Igbo vs other Nigerians crisis with Jonathan as the fish while Igbos are the bait. Ijaws are neutral, Yorubas are neutral, Hausa/Fulanis are neutral, Ogbiya(Jonathan's ethnic goup) are neutral. Any Igbo man that attempts to be neutral is called saboteur and attacked by Jonathan's employees but Jonathan himself is neutral.

Like I said I am not here to start sisterly war cos we are all brothers and sisters.

A ban was place on street trading sometime in PH, when the people given the responsible was ask to enforce this law. The traders 90% Akwa Ibomites physically attacked these people. They even went as as far as protesting? I was against the law then because my feeling was, why on earth will stop Nigerians irrespective of their tribes and freedom of movement. But, seeing as the poster I quoted was saying abokis who are cobblers don't have homes and the Governor was right to deport them. That was why I raised the point of DISOBEYING laws of other states. Beside if she's talking about abokis not having homes in AK, she should also know that most Akwa Ibomites suffer the same aside AK especially here in PH I know of. Shouldn't they be send home too?

Please lets end this here. Back to the thread, there are several ways to prevent insurgency. I think raporing with Muslim communities in AK is the sure way to start. Instead of discriminating the abokis cos you may end up creating a cold war which you may never know.

Apparently because of some minority of your people have tainted the country black. Go ask why Nigerians are treated as shiiit in Singapore and why they stop issuing citizenship in that country. Ask why Malaysians are avoiding and hate Nigerians. They blame us for corrupting their countries. Who are the tribes mostly involve in these?

Months back he packaged some Abokis down to the north, those ones who does not have tangible thing doing, because it's likely that they are the ones that causes mayhem in the society. So my dear Governor took them back. The ones I know that are left behind are the mallams that owns a very big shop and those that sells food items. But all this abokis that stays in the bush at night and turns cobbler's in the morning is a no no for us, cos they are the deadly ones.
Not trying to start a sisterly war. But if other state Governors start sending non indigenes back to their places. Akwa Ibom will be worst hit. He is clearing people out of Akwa Ibom while his people are loitering and disobeying other states in same Nigeria.

Elliotwiz1: It seems the dust is not finally settled over the impeachment of Nigeria Football Federation President, Aminu Maigari as 26 state football associations’ chairmen out of the 44 members met in Abuja on Thursday to nullify the impeachment procedure of the executive body of the NFF that impeached Maigari last week.
The meeting as scheduled was held at Serob Hotel, Wuye, Abuja Thursday but the press briefing fixed for 9am did not hold because the hotel was by that time cordoned off by men of the Department of State Security (SSS) and the chairmen loyal to Maigari had to relocate to the house of an influential member of the League Management Company (LMC)
By the resolution of the group Maigari was ordered to return to his post as the NFF President after 26 State FA chairmen rose from its Congress (meeting) in Abuja to announce the annulment of the impeachment of the president of the NFF.
Spokesman of the group and the chairman of the Abia State FA, Sir Ephraim Chukwuemeka in his address at the residence of the LMC chieftain, said the group took the action urgently as a result of the emergency congress earlier called by the executive committee of the NFF which had fixed an emergency congress for Thursday, July 26.
He said they resolved to reinstate the impeached Maigari after a proper examination of all the charges leveled against him which were found to be frivolous. He refereed to Article 28(j) of the NFF Statutes which he said that the approval of the yearly audited account of the Federation was ratified by the congress in their meetings in Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Warri during which no member of the executive committee raised any issue about the finance of the football house.
“That at no time during the NFF general assembly throughout these preceding years (2001, 2002 and 2003) did the NFF finance committee or the internal audit committee or the external auditors or the general assembly raise any queries with regards to the financial activities of the federation led by Aminu Maigari.
“In view of the forgoing, to reject in its entirety the alleged dismissal of the president of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari and the appointment of an acting president of the NFF in the person of Mr. Mike Umeh, the current vice president of the NFF or any other person.
“That the undersigned having constituted more than 50%+1 of the members of the NFF (as required by the NFF Statutes for taking valid decisions at the congress) and in view the mathematical impossibility of the remaining members to ratify he alleged dismissal pursuant to the NFF Statues, the president should immediately return to his desk and continue as the president of the NFF pending the elective congress of August 26 2014”.
The states represented that met and made the resolution included Rivers, Ondo, Lagos, Abia, Ekiti, Zamfara, Plateau, Sokoto, Kaduna, Cross River, Taraba, Nasarrawa, Katsina, Yobe Bauchi and Niger.
Also in attendance were chairmen from Kebbi, Adamawa, Bornu, Jigawa, Kano and Gombe, Ahmed Maude of the Nigeria Referees Association and Maiyaki Bawa from the Nigeria Nation Wide League were at the meeting. However, former international Dahiru Sadi representing players union and one Nuhu Tanko representing Nigeria National League also completed the number.
In a reaction to the meeting held by the states FA chairmen, acting NFF president Mike Umeh has called the meeting a ruse.
“Whoever is instigating these persons does not love Nigeria and should be advised to stop,” said Umeh in a media statement.http://m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/4995888
Then, this

KickOffNigeria.com, the NFF claimed that it has
been alerted to a document being circulated by a
group of persons who claimed that an emergency
Congress of the NFF held in Abuja on Thursday,
31st July, 2014.
"The NFF Executive Committee rose from its
meeting of Wednesday, 30th July to say that the
emergency Congress had been postponed, and
duly apologized to members of the Congress,
while stating that the Congress would hold at a
later date," Chief Mike Umeh, NFF Acting
President, said in Abuja on Thursday evening.
"There was no Congress at all, and we urge
Nigerians to ignore the so –called decisions
contained in the document. A properly –
constituted NFF Congress would be convoked at a
date to be made known to the public soon.
"Whoever is instigating these persons does not
love Nigeria and should be advised to stop," he
added.

Tell me, what is inside that tiny head of yours? Have you ever read a history book in your entire life? Do you realise that for thousands of years Africans developed great civilizations, including mathematics, medicine and architecture, while Europeans in ''first world countries'' were in caves without speech or writing? PoliticsRivers 2015: Wike Has A Message For My Ijaw & Ogoni Brothers by kel4soft(op): 8:38pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ernest Chinwo in Port Harcourt
As speculations heighten about his intention to
contest the gubernatorial elections in Rivers State,
the Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom
Wike, has declared that no politician can defeat
him if he decides to run.
Wike, spoke yesterday in Port Harcourt while
addressing journalists on the political situation in
the state.
He decried the clamour by some politicians and
sections of the state that it was their turn to
produce the next governor of the state asking him
(Wike) not to run for the position.
Wike said: “There is one thing that people must
understand; I read a lot of things where some
people say, ‘it is our turn to produce the governor
or whatever’. Assuming that what you are saying
is correct, does that stop another person from
coming out? What it means is that you should
face the person at the elections. That is the
important thing.
“Most of them who say the governorship seat is
zoned to them, can they win in their local
government area? I can tell you that if I declare
today that I want to run, none of all those
claiming that it is their turn would win me in their
various wards. So, if you cannot win me in your
ward, whose vote are you going to use to win me
in the election?
“Let’s take, for example, the Ogonis, we have Tai,
Eleme, Gokana and Khana- four local government
areas. Those who want to run there under PDP,
which of them can win me? Come to the riverine
area; in Andoni, who wants to run there? I heard
of a retired Major. Come to Opobo, who wants to
run? Come to Bonny, who wants to run? Come to
Akuku Toro; I read it on Sunday that Dagogo-Jack
said he wants to run. There is also Walson-Jack,
Lulu-Briggs. But which of them will beat me in
their various wards, if I want to run?”
On what gives him the confidence that he would
not be beaten in the elections, Wike said: “This is
my game; I have been chairman (local
government area) since 1999. There is no serious
politician I don’t know in the various wards
across the state.
“You know I headed the campaign committee of
Governor Chibuike Amaechi in 2011. Is there any
ward or any local government area that I cannot
call the politician? In each of the wards, I am not
even talking about the local government now, I
know who matters; I know those that will decide
what will happen. It is not by Internet postings; it
is not for you to just post something in the
Internet.
“As I tell you now, if I decide today that I want to
run for election, check these local governments,
why should everybody be depending on
endorsement? You don’t want to go to your
various wards and local governments to build the
party and for the people to have confidence in you
and then make you to win elections. Each time,
you leave Port Harcourt and fly to Abuja, looking
for endorsement. When you have been endorsed,
who will make you to win the general elections?
“It is not by going to all the newspapers, to take
adverts to say ‘it is our turn’. The issue is, how
far have you gone to make Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) strong for that their turn to be
realised? At the appropriate time, we will see.”
He dismissed speculations that he had resigned
from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) because
of his political ambitions and said those peddling
the rumours were actually afraid of him.
His words: “Why should that bother you? Why is
it that everybody is interested in this man, that he
resigned or that he has done this or that? Who is
planting all these stories? That tells you, that is
the man everybody should watch; that tells you
that is the man the other parties are afraid of.
Some people will say, ‘please resign, please don’t
resign’. But I have not resigned; I am still
working.
“People should understand politics. I am still a
minister; I have not been removed and I am still
the Minister of State for Education. If you are a
good politician, you should know what is going
on. Assuming that he I want to run, won’t I
resign? Don’t worry; there are so many people in
the FEC who want to run. At the appropriate time,
they will also resign. So, I am not worried.”
He said he would not be intimidated by antics of
politicians in the state.
“But what I am trying to let you know is that no
amount of blackmail, no amount of intimidation, if
I decide to do something, nobody can stop me
from doing it. You know this is far from it. And I
know where all this is coming from. You are
aware that when the All Progressives Congress
(APC) said that if PDP brings me, it will be better
for them. Instead of them to thank God that He
has buttered their bread, now it is a problem,” he said.

The leader of House Hon.Chidi said that the 25 lawmakers have decided to defect to APC since they have been sympathetic to the course. FYI, Houses of Assembly do not have 100% attendance at any time. This is almost two weeks since their defection, why has no lawmaker who was absent distance himself from the defection? Why did only 6 anti- Amaechi lawmakers endorse GEJ and Wike for President and Governor respectively earlier last week?
