Hello all my boss at Dangote in the house,i have read through the whole thread and am truly impressed and inspired.

But on a very serious note i have questions to ask which i hope the answer will save me a whole lot of emotional stress which am going through now..
i applied for Executive Trainee Refinery position which was advertised on dangote career website.

i just graduated from Computer Engineering dept and am currently doing my clearance,is it rght to apply before going for service?

MY course is called computer engineering in my school instead of electrical/electronics engineering which was among the prefered qualifications ..

i need someone to mentor me on the best step to take.please i need help....
God bless as you provide me with relevant info

NoriegaQ:
Hey guys. I passed my CCNA 200-120 exam with a score of 941 after 4 months of intensive self-study and labbing. I read Todd Lammle's book 3 times over and I labbed at least 3 hours on week days and 10 hours on weekends. I'm just happy my efforts came through. The guy at the centre where I wrote told me I should go back and study more if I wasn't sure I was ready enough, as Cisco had changed most of the exam questions. I didn't practice with dumps so I was quite certain. At some point during the exam I actually felt so sure that I was going to fail because the simulations were quite tricky. In the end I came through, I was the 3rd person to pass this week at the centre were I wrote out of 14 exam takers.
Special thanks to the OP @DanIndia because this thread was one of the things that inspired me to success. Talking and learning from you guys really helped. With hardwork and humility, you'd definitely succeed. I feel now I'm certified I can contribute more to this thread as someone who now has a Cisco ID, lol. I've started CCNP studying since last month, even though I wasn't CCNA certified yet, I intend to write that in February or March next year. I was also gonna do MCSE this year but so many people I know in the industry have advised me to take the Linux path first. I'm considering Comptia Linux. Anyways guys, once again I appreciate this thread much more than I can describe. If you love networking like I do, you'd understand if I call this thread my home on Nairaland. Good luck everybody! Cheers!
You have inspired me.........you read todd lammle three timeshuh? thats the spirit...
Congratulations Bro

At Grahyt,

You quoted OP's post without saying anything at the end of it. Lol - sleep still dey catch you this morning?

At OP,

Check out a thread in the romance section titled ''If You Are 30+ and Single Let's Talk''. I think it might help.

Siamia a lady authored the thread and a WhatsApp chat group was created to enhance healthy friendships & romantic relationships in a safe, secure and be your brother's keeper kind of way.

Siamia vouches that members are authentic & sincere, well truth is she only said that about the men I don't know about my gender.

Read the thread first (the few pages you can) and then decide if you want to join the chat group and see where that leads to. No pressure ooo abeg just keep an open mind and explore the possibilities of friendships first.

Only tasteless and classless women will be all over you because of your job, apartment and car. Tasteful women with class (like moi wink ) will be more concerned with your manners, personal hygiene & grooming then your overall comportment as a man.

Me - I'm a sucker for

1. Neat men with shaved armpits, clean underwear and surroundings. That your apartment won't count if its messy & untidy.

2. Well spoken & written English which reveals a depth of intelligence (like that dude LordReed I am electronically attracted to him just for his written English too bad he's married).

3. Courteous & well mannered men amongst other things like lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

No offence meant bro, but I ain't really feeling your written English enough to gravitate towards you as a woman. It's good but could be better with punctuation marks where necessary. Just saying no offence meant.
Why beating around the bushhuh?
Wasted your typo energy all in a bid to stylishly tell op you are interestedhuh?

i got that though.....

Sir,

The IT security path is the most dreaded and feared field in the IT world, because it is either "you eat or get eaten" (don't be surprise)...

"if bullets doesn't kill, then hacking doesn't..."- quote from an Elite... Even the Pentagon (US Defence HQ) has labelled Cyber as the 4th realm of contemporary warfare...

Before you can enlist into such field... First understand what you are going into, the implications and the sacrifices and pain you will have to go through.... Like the Holy Bible states..."...choose ye this day, whom ye will serve..."...

In this field, you have a choice to be the ruthless angel or the smiling devil...

If you understand what I have been saying and you think you got the "balls" or "nerves" to dance with life's "jokers". Let me know...

onatisi:
don't mind our politicians and don't use nairaland to judge the general intelligence of the average Nigerian youth ,on nairaland less than 5% of the youth here are intelligent but believe me there are outstanding youths within Nigeria and abroad who can do 100 times better than the ppl buhari has nominated .but they aren't into politics and hear youths are purely in their chosen fields .the truth is regardless of whatever the VP says ,for you to get appointed you have to belong to apc or a political party and these outstanding youths aren't interested in the dirty political terrain of Nigeria.maybe the veepee should be ashamed that his party does not have at least one outstanding youth worthy enough of been appointed
''maybe the veepee should be ashamed that his party does not have at least one outstanding youth worthy enough of been appointed""

This is the onion of the matter,no matter how good you are you must belong to be selected...
Mr Osibanjo you have goofed real bad for dragging the youths in general into this messs.. Youths are the ones pioneering in all fields except corrupt terrains like the judiciary and politics..
we really have to sit up and challenge anyone who pops up his head to address Nigeria youths in a silly manner as if it is an extension of NANS.

It's disheartening anyway....... I am still trying to come to terms with the youth are not ready for leadership joke and here is yet another one.... I feel so ashamed as youth when youth leadership in Nigeria is being discussed.. I know am a worthy youth capable of leading this nation but the fact that the elites have stolen a lot of our resources (money, future, sense) and are now using these to hold us to eternal ransom...
Our education system has also made it impossible to produce youth leaders (imagine graduating at 24 from a university with zero experience about grassroots politics except you serve this same Elites
