When he wanted to punish saraki, for taking his coveted 3rd citizen seat, he used an innocuous tribunal, where hapless jona tried him, but without success. See the mess he's making of Saraki now. That one is in political purgatory.

So, he has been experiencing ingratitude from Buhari, in an off and on manner, and I knew that the jagaban I've studied, will surely find a way to castrate and cage Buhari. It's certificate stupid? Tinubus been there and done that. So he deploys a young Unknown lawyer with a court case challenging this certificate that he's certain Buhari doesn't have. Make no mistake about it, he won't send Buhari packing, but he's got him where he wanted. Buhari is a potential gonner. The laws of the land are clear on waec as basic legal allowance to be a president.
Tinubu is not an over ambitious man. He has a price. Buhari need to keep meeting his price to keep staying in power. Tinubu owns all the SW SANs, no contest!
He owns the court processes, no contest. That's the prize for being a man with a large heart.
This case will cool down but won't go away. It's the check on Buhari. It's Tinubus reward for broad generosity and smart godfatherism.

On a second thought, you know we Nigerians and trust issues .You own fleet of cars running the streets of Lagos. Making cool cash for you. Its normal that you must care to know where these vehicles are at and their status at a particular time and state so that driver does not come back each day with stories that tickle the nipple.

Why the heck do you need a car tracker in the first place

We must commend owners of @carreportng . Creating a database for stolen vehicle has been the norm in developed countries handled by the police. www.carreport.com.ng is a wonderful platform that has provided for victims of car theft a medium to register their cases and hope someone somewhere pops an alarm.

The intent of this write up is solely not to convince you on why you need a tracker in your vehicle but to enlighten cum educate folks who might in the near future plan to add an extra layer of security, comfort and control to their car, make the right choices while making informed negotiations with an installer .And as well explain some hazy misconceptions about this technology.

[center]My Bad Experience with Quack Tracking Companies in Nigeria[/center]


My experience might sound like a mere movie but it actually happened to me last Monday 11th of August, 2008.

At precisely 3.30pm, I was accosted by a gang of armed robbers all masked with assorted guns. They quickly pushed me to the back seat of my car. While all these happened, they didn't say a word to me. I was trembling with fear begging them not to harm me, one of them collected my car keys from me and quickly drove off with me at the back seat saying my last prayers.

We drove for about 20 minutes until they demanded that I strip off my clothes, I did that with the understanding that if I didn’t do what they wanted I could end up being killed. All I could do at that time was pray for God to let this cup of anxiety of death pass me by.

After a long drive, they demanded that I get down from the car with only my underpants on. I quickly did as directed with thanksgiving after which they drove off with top speed. I quickly got help to cover up my unclothedness and quickly got a GSM phone to demobilize the car. On sending the demobilizing command to my car, I discovered that the phone number of the device was no longer available (apparently, the tracking unit in my car had been disconnected by those who had stolen my car). I called my wife to contact the tracking company and make a formal complaint while I rushed to make a case with the police. After a while, my wife confirmed to me that the phone number kept ringing without an answer and worst still, the address on their contact card was non-existent. At that time all I had left in my thoughts was to say “Thank God for saving me”.

I have taken the pains to investigate to know where I went wrong in installing a tracker in my car. I discovered that most tracking companies in Nigeria are not registered by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to do business in Nigeria, they are mere dupes who take advantage of cheap tracking units from china to extort money from desperate Nigerians.

I implore all of you to be careful about installers who will tell you their units are one off payments or charge you less than N70,000 to install the unit, these dupes have alliances with those who rob us on the highways.

Shockingly, I also discovered that some GSM Telecommunication companies have Vehicle tracking companies registered on their websites. This is very misleading as most of those companies don’t have NCC certifications to do business in Nigeria.

I implore NCC to take serious actions to avert these illegal companies from exploiting Nigerians of their hard earned monies and exposing us all to risks of our lives.

Am quite sorry for your experience...I will blame the installer for not always checking on his his to know when it failed and go for corrections.. Most f us forget that car tracking is not insurance.After installing a tracker on your vehicle try to call the tracker number from time to time or when in an unsecured zone..If your tracker dos not ring you call your installer to come and check it out , you dont wait for tragedy to struck before you check your tracker...

All these vehicle tracking stuff is bullshit. Do you know that with a GPS jammer that cost $45 (less than 10k) and or a phone jammer costing the same amount will render all this tracking devices useless. Giving them unlimited time to cannibalize ur vehicle for spare parts or for the smart theives strip the vehicle for the tracker.

What more with a frequency scanner costing $200 in the right hands that tracker will be history.

The CJN should rise up to this matter and stop politicians from buying over judges...
