The more disorganised they are, the stronger we become. A new Nigeria is POssible ![]() |
More should be done towards wild life preservation order than seisure of this form. I can relate this with the pertinent state most of the animals in most conservation centers find themselves. Hunger has turned monkeys into beggars and sometimes robbers in the neighbourhood of the lekki conservation center. |

Op it is either you are not Igbo or you are dumb or both. You think Buhari should not receive the largest chunk of blame in the predicament Nigeria has found itself today? What do you know about leadership? What do you think happens when the leadership at the head is rotten and clueless? What do you know about economic policies and whose job it is? What are the major factors that drive the exchange rate you pointed out? Do you not know that we have more selected politician than elected in the public offices? On Tinubu, What do you know about the consequencies of godfatherism in government? Do you actually think that the Tinubu of today has the intellectual ability and physical fitness to take Nigeria away from the mess he helped bring upon it? I have continued to curse those who because of their personal gains or sheer stupidity have continued to support this useless administration and also working towards electing a similar one. |

I hope they won't sell with the current price for the next 20years. Dangote has hugely benefitted from monopoly in Nigeria. Don't be surprised that Buhari will finish that money in ruga before he leaves office. |
Paying more than you bargained means you have more than enough. Shameless adults.... |
Great!! I wish more churches can organise similar or even better competitions to keep the teens focused towards the right paths. Most of the lost adults today missed thier way as teenagers...Hope she gets a good incentive though. |

"The Secret Books of evil" coming soon.. |
Get set,"and a loud local gun was blasted into the air" and the race started. Agbado could see himself clearly leading towards the finishing point. Though he was feeling tired and drowsy, the cheers from people kept him going. He was now sure that nothing could stop him from becoming the next king of Ebum. All these while, Agbado was actually unconscious in a hospital bed. He fainted immediately the gun was blasted. He regained his consciousness few days later to hear that Ubim won the race and was later crowned the king after he also defeated his opponent in the wrestling and did well in other aspects of the contest. Agbado cried uncontrollably and blamed himself for the embarrassment he had caused himself and the entire village. |
It was just two weeks to the ceremony and Agbado knowing fully well that he can't walk round the community talk more of running had met ono of the most famous rainmaker in the entire community to help him out. He wanted a very heavy rain to fall on the occassion so that only the indoor games can be done. He paid the rainmaiker twice his charge just to encourage him to do a perfect job. On the day of the occassion,Agbado was the first to come to the venue. He was dressed in the most beautiful sports attire and was jogging to and fro while gazing at the sky. It was getting quite dark and Agbado seems to be the only one ready for the race. He knew he wasn't ready for any race but only wanted to c score cheap points by making people believe that he was the most agile as he was stretching himself at every corner of the venue while showcasing his beautiful wears. To his greatest suprise, the ruling council had announced that the weather was under control and called on the contestants to come to the starting point. The sky was getting bright and Agbado was not finding it funny as he walked reluctantly to the starting point. Standing next to him was Ubim,a younger contestant who was enjoying massive support from his village. Ubim was loved within his village and beyond for his selflessness and magnanimity. Suprisingly,Ubim came to the starting point bare footed. Most of the contestants had mocked him regarding the bad road they were going to pass through. |
This strategy payed Agbado as he was nominated to represent the village in the forthcoming community contest although most of the chieves were afraid that Agbado might disgrace the village considering his age. His nomination was not due to his credibility but a way of paying him back for his recent deeds in the village. The contestants will be asked to run around the community, wrestle with fellow contestants and also tell the community how they were going to improve the living condition of people in the community. These exercises are to ensure that the king will be strong enough to protect the community from attacks and wise enough to settle disputes and ensure a peaceful coexistence within the community. Agbado in his quest to convince the villagers that he is still strong enough to contest in order to gain their trust joined the village football team. He joined as a goal-keaper in order to avoid excessive running. He would always find a way to blame the defenders whenever a goal is scored against him and also takes credit whenever his team wins. Among all the exercises the contestants were going to participate in,Agbado was only scared of the running. He could rememeber vividly how he was hospitalised after he was chased by a dog in the neighbourhood about 4 months ago. He was confident he could easily convince people about how he was going to make their lives better. He said to himself, afterall ,he just needed to say them and not do them. He had also planned to rub pepper into the eyes of anyone that would be sent to wrestle with him and was sure he was going to deny it successfully after he had won. |

After so many years of Agbado's reign as the village head of Ekoba village,he decided to come out with his full chest to contest for the kingship of Ebum community. Ekoba is one of the twelve villages that make up Ebum. Agbado the richest man in Ekoba and one of the richest in the entire Ebum has enjoyed over 25years of reign without being challenged. This is probably due to the stories that Agbado made the villagers to believe that anyone who challenges him might be killed by the gods of the land. The case of Obente who challenged him openly in the village square for encroaching into the boundaries of his farm but disappeared from the village and never returned was the greatest mystery in the history of Ekoba. Obente's family had pointed accusing fingers at Agbado but nothing tangible came out of if. Agbado despite his wealth is not a very happy man because he was getting quite old without fulfilling his life-long ambition of becoming the king of Ebum community. He is perceived to be richer than most of the kings who had ascended the throne of Ebum kingdom and only wanted to enjoy the power and fame that comes with the throne. The kingship is contested by able bodied representatives from the villages who are required to perform some rigorous tasks after which the ruling council will annonce the most qualified to be decorated as the king. This exercise is held after every six years and is the most anticipated ceremony in the entire community. The villages present a credible representative after a thorough search through the village chieves and some other respected men in the village. Agbado though respected for his status is not greatly loved among the villagers due to his constant support for kaws and ideas that do not benefit the poor villagers hence his inability to secure the post of representing his village after several attempts over the years. Some of his close friends and relatives had advised him to forget his ambition and focus on other important things considering his age and the tasks involved in selecting a king but Agbado who is in his 80's will probably listen to a human with two heads but certainly not one. He decided to do things differently in order to secure the post to represent his village in the next community contest. He carried out notable projects without tasking the villagers and also donated some food items to the chieves in order to win thier support.

It's not easy to be a poor guy neither is it to be rich. When you are poor, you are separated from your wishes and when you are rich, you need to be careful about your decisions. Was he calling Toto in one of the pictures up there? |
