it's no news that Nigeria is suffering from major political, economical and developmental crisis. all through the years since independence, various head of states have come and go and still our problem still persists. and doesn't even seem to be getting even remotely better. Nigerians are also so quick to criticize the Government and always have something to say about their incompetence and actions which brings me to my original question. knowing the serious problems Nigeria is facing today as a country, if you were the president, what would you do to tackle this problem and move Nigeria to a direction of genuine development not forgetting the underlining problems of religion and ethnicity ? |

SirMichael1: The universe is a collection of systems. as the planets in our solar system revolves around the sun, so does the sun revolves around the center of our milky way galaxy to gether with billions of othes solar systems in our milky way galaxy. the center of galaxies contains a black hole (a place of infinite mass, energy and gravity) which facilitates the revolution. even our galaxyy is part of an intergalactic system with andromeda galaxy being a member. and so on an so forth. there are even theories that thethe uniuerse itself is part of a multi-universal system. and then a bigger multi-multi-universal system all through to infinity. the universe is also expanding. but we dont know if its expanding into pre-existing p space or its creating space as its expanding iofgtktnu hnwhich 1 Like |

Barristter07: Mr man, saying the characters in the bible existed and did the things they claimed to do is thesame as saying the characters in shakespare romeo and juliet actually exists because you really wanna believe in the story. A believe system that can be proven with zero or little evidence can also be disproven with zero or little evidence. (this is me ignoring the overwhelming evidences against belief systems and religion) ksnot 1 Like |

Sometimes, going to school does not always mean educated. nigerians specifically have a whole lot of problems and the number one is ignorance, stupidity is a close second. if you dont understand how some things work, makje research or ask questions. dont just jumpp into threads, topics or issuses with ignorant comments. this ignorance is common among some religious folks. this post for instance would never sit well with them as it contradicts or questions the timeline in the bible the so much hold dear. yes scientist can date fossils of animals that existed s millions and even billions of years ago, they know that the earth is about 4.5 billion years a go, not by faith but by scientific researches and experiments. if you cannot question how they are able to ''transport'' your voice through a mobile phone over thousands of miles in just seconds, or how they successfully got a vaccine for polio, dating or the ability to date really old materials should not baffle you to much. 5e tpuejsfkin 2 Likes |

A couple of days ago, i saw a post where a 7 year old girl was raped to death by a 28 year old man and i couldnt help but wonder, religious people either have or worship a god that sends men to rape little k ggirls to death or just watches and says '' i'll punish you after you're done raping that little girl to death'' i would not even hesitate to stop a rapist from raping a little girl to death if i could. i guess thats the difference between me and your god. 1 Like |

25tolife: i hardly comment on nairaland threads but, people fail terribly in Sports betting because of one thing....GREED. I have been earning 4k every day for over 8months on football betting. all i do is stake 20k on 1.2 odds .and each day i spend over 1 - 2 hours to select this odd..sometimes two matches, other days 1 match, sometimes 3 matches but i have never placed a bet on more than 1.2 odds since i started. And i have played this thing over 250 times in the months before football leauges started shutting down because of corona and i only lost 4 times. Now do the math yourself, i'm taking a break, making investments in other things till leauges resumes. with strategic planning, patience and lack of greed, you can make cool easy cash in football bets (NOT VIRTUAL or lotto) peace. rzj fore covk g 1 Like |

If Earth lost gravity, we wouldn’t just start floating -- we'd turn into fast tumbleweeds along with everything else. Describing a person as "down to earth" is the same as saying that he or she is "grounded." In other words, it's like saying that the person is "the salt of the earth." To say the least, this person certainly does not have his or her "head in the clouds." What all of these idioms are trying to convey is a person who is humble, self-aware and pragmatic – a person whose head hasn't filled up with so much idealism and fanciful nonsense that it could balloon and lift them off their feet. In truth, it's not humility but gravity – the natural phenomenon pulling matter together – that keeps humans and other objects grounded. If our planet were to lose gravity for even five seconds, it would spell the end of life on Earth as we know it. Gravity pulls objects toward one another. The more massive an object is, the stronger its gravitational pull. The closer you are to an object, the stronger its gravitational pull. Earth, of course, is massive and very close to us. Its gravity is what keeps people walking on the ground and what causes feathers and textbooks to fall to the floor when dropped [source: Caltech ]. The sun is much, much bigger than Earth – more than 1 million copies of our planet could fit inside it. The sun's gravity is what keeps our planet and others orbiting around that burning-hot star [source: NASA]. Without gravity, humans and other objects would become weightless. Ever see movies where astronauts are fumbling around trying to plant their country's flag on the moon? The reason they bounce up and down is that the moon is much smaller than, and therefore has much less gravity than, Earth. Same goes for when we see astronauts floating around weightless in their spacecrafts: The farther they get from Earth, the less the planet's gravity pulls them to the ground [source: Gannon ]. If Earth suddenly lost all of its gravity, we wouldn't just start floating. The lack of any forceful gravitational pull would turn humans – and anything else with mass, like cars and buildings – into very fast-moving tumbleweeds. That's because the planet would continue spinning, without exerting gravity to keep objects tied to it [source: Domanico ]. A loss of gravity would also mean that the planet would stop pulling down air, water and Earth's atmosphere. That's where the apocalyptic devastation somewhere along the lines of a Michael Bay movie come in. A sudden and significant loss of air pressure would immediately shatter everyone's inner ear. Think about the pressure that builds when you're flying or scuba diving; this would be much more intense and immediate. Concrete structures would crumble as oxygen – an important binding agent – left the planet [source: Cote]. What's H 2O without the O? That's right, water would become hydrogen gas, causing immediate explosions among every living cell. Sure, it would be over in five seconds, but none of us would be around by the time the gravity came back [source: Cote].
