Yes and No...Yes because Qatar isn't as developed as UAE generally and No because you can actually come with a visit visa and search for job. The visit visa is extendable for a period of almost one year but the process is completely different from that of the UAE. The person would have to be sponsored by a relative with good work status. That's the law but people usually just look for another person with similar names. Don't say I told you so
There's a delicate balance between the number of job seekers and the % of opportunities. The government also has its own ways of affecting the tilt in this balance. For example, sometimes, they'd just stop issuing visas for certain nationalities when they feel their grip is getting too strong. Indians, Philipinos and a few other countries are having a hard time getting work visas now. They also discourage companies from hiring certain nationals except they really need them with some policies. I learnt recently that for a company to employ a fresh Indian from outside now, they have to deposit some money (about 10k I think) with the government for each person. Currently, for any company interested in getting contracts especially government connected, they have to show in their employee list that they have people from many countries. Due to this, they have no choice to employ blacks, arabs, other asians apart from Indians and so on. It's quite a complex thing to understand within a short period of time. Overall, I think the level of the construction industry in the two places contributes to this wage difference. There are more contracts here than there cos of the level of development.

Yes ma'am. Wish I could be of help beyond this. If he was in Qatar with that, it would have been a sealed deal. That's why I asked him to just try if they can consider him there. Something I've noticed over time is that wages are quite lower in U.A.E compared to Qatar. Some of the companies from U.A.E come here with that kind of plan but I don't miss the chance to tell them to their face that we play by different rules here in Qatar.

By the way, for anyone in these parts or planning to come down, you can start taking intensive trainings in Project Management. If you can have 25%-30% of how to use Primavera P6 software, you will be smiling to the bank soon

There was also a deposit of 300dirhams. pls house, what do u thin?

check this site for courses and u can also go to knowledge village for IT courses. If you are looking to build yourself and you are in UAE on a residence i believe u should try other things asides nebosh igc...also if u r on a 3 months visa u can do some courses...


IATA is also a good company for aviation courses

The second company will find out he is playing them and they might get pissed off. Tell you friend to be patient. If you are skeptical about exiting first before visa processing then you don't have any choice than to allow the other company that can process your visa even without you exiting. You shouldn't have any situation because so long as the company has said you should exit before they can process your visa, it means if you don't exit they cannot and will not process your visa. Hope you understand this.

You are looking for trouble, shey you know the UAE doesn't joke with "FINES" don't cause problem with the later company. Stick with the company that has already applied for your visa. One day u can be earning 2k in dubai...the next day u can be on 8k....i will tell u this. many people want to mk d money quick but in dubai u need patience and a valid residence to mk it...the most important thing is to get any kind of job that u can sha manage while reading....

i had a few friends who wrote nebosh...one came from nija with a month visa and could not wait to c result self..they both failed too.

also do u no how many indian hse officers r looking for job. go to jobs wanted page and u will be shocked...

try and get a sales or security job...one that u can read for nebosh on fridays...also there are many certificate courses that also stand out

u hv to hv interest sha in what u want to do not do it cos it seems like a way out...

My employment visa wish I applied for never worked out but the middle man refunded my deposit, and now I entend going to UAE to take the Nebosh IGC and any other important/ necessary certification so after the certification I can search for a job also. But Nebosh certificate takes about 2months to come out and don't know if it would be a waste of money. Anoda middle man suggested I take up a security job and the run the programs while on the job. So I don't know if it would be favorable cos I heard a 2yrs contract has to be signed. So would I have to wait till after the two years to now use my certificate to get a better job or is he lying so that he would get his cut from the job visa?.

but wait, I assume your friend has a DHA eligibility letter right? That means they need to first apply to convert the eligibility letter to a license. The company should show seriousness by uploading the job offer to the DHA portal first, then he can exit the country.

ok...can i track visa application online. my point is i can ask him to send the exit page to only one company and give dem the stipulated period they asked for (5 days for the visa process) while i go online and verify if they have applied for the visa

If he has just an offer letter, the same way it may not be binding on the company to process his visa is the same way the company should not be able to use it to bind him.

However, when they take steps to start processing his visa on the basis of that offer letter is where the issue may now come up. No company will want to discover that they have been played like that after spending money (plus he would have wasted their time and they would have to start looking for someone else to hire). You get my point?

Accepting 3 offer letters has an element of fraud in it so he could get a ban if one of the employers decides to pursue it. Its almost like a company promising to employ 3 people for one 1 position; its fraudulent and they can be fined for it.
