Of course you're still on course, or did you receive any email when you started the registration? Because a vast majority of applicants didn't get.

I want to congratulate those of us that made the list . However, like I said before, the army website had some issues prior to the shortlisting which led to the numerous errors we are experiencing now. Meanwhile if your number was assigned to someone else's name, kindly send me a mail on or before Thursday. I think some rectifications is still ongoing. Thanks

Now the truth about this thing is most of these people that got your application numbers have their own original application numbers on their printed out forms..so there’s most likely going to be a big problem with the numbers during screening.. cos they will say they saw their name, but another application number was attached to it

Omo... This year 2020 never born finish, first it was Covid-19 lockdown that threatening a possible enlistment, thankfully the lockdown was lifted and enlistment commenced. Then we faced the worst and frustrating registration process ever, the site gave us issues till the closing day. Now we have this protest. My own take is that by God's grace this whole uncertainty will play out to our favour. Las las these Course 47 and 26 will be the best ever, because we endured a lot. Even with the bloody months of July and August, we all stood strong with the zeal to serve and defend our fatherland. I pray that everyone on this thread makes it.

God saved so many of us here but we are hell bent on leaving earth so quickly by our own choices in life. It's good to join the armed forces and defend our dearly beloved country, but it's never the job of us all to do it. Some will serve in other fields aside the armed forces. I was among those in NDA for course 46 (PL 43). Fondly known as the prophet who keep giving details to how and what next was to be unveiled. I met Sikowitz (ON14) met other of guys here. actually I wasn't preparing for the army but Navy when army shortlisted me and I decided to use one stone to kill two birds but I was caught up and I lost both. God opened my eyes to the terror coming and this terror will engulf many and only reason I wasn't slaughtered was because I had forgotten my rifle and had to go back to pick it up and when I had returned all the troops where no more. I read how we make suggestions here and how best it is to fight bokoharam, buying kits and so on but sometimes I laugh. Do we think we are more sensible than those dying daily? haven't some bought gears from Amazon? Let's be realistic and know that it's not PS4 it's a life and death scenario. No second chance like we get in game's. Even in game's we still die despite the many life's and trials. Sometimes I feel fighting bokoharam in the navy and airforce is much better than in the army cos they are more kitted and welfare is top notch for their troops in north east. The ratio of death of Navy/air force to army can't be compared. Honestly Ugo get excess patience. These energy should be channeled towards making the list first, then scaling through the screening. It's baffling how someone is already hoping to be equipped with a good rifle to face Boko Haram, while he's still an applicant. It's worthy of note that hundreds of officers today were on this thread since it's inception 4 years ago, ranting with suggestions on how to tackle insurgency and improve the Army. But upon commissioning the reality no even allow them open mouth. Ugo and some other veterans know a handful of them. So please our prayers and hustle should be to make the list, only then will you be closer to whatever you plan to do in the Army. Cheers

Take note, an SSC officer is naturally a combatant by design. At a stage in his career, he will have opportunity to convert to Regular Commissioned officer (if vacancy exist).

If he reaches lieutenant colonel, he is a potential candidate for battalion commander appointment, the command experience obtained from such appointment will help him gain consideration for brigade commander appointment when he becomes brigadier general. Again experience obtained from brigade commander appointment will help him gain consideration for General Officer Commanding (GOC) appointment, Corps Commander, e.t.c., when he becomes major general.

But I must tell you the truth, NOT all SSC guys will be able to convert to RC. Many will retire as Lieutenant Colonel, others will retire as Colonel, others will retire as Brigadier General. Very very few of them will reach Major General.
