for anyone sending over 10k, i would recommend you go to the bank and fill the Form A...then it can be done in one transaction instead of multiple.. as long as the amount is attached to the documents submitted to the bank.. you can prolly do that today to send the rest, instead of doing 2 more days.. would reduce the number of days to wait for the confirmation from the school

MissAhoy: I have the same message as yours and i submitted the next day after our medicals."The requested documents are received on 09/01/2013, and had been resubmitted to the Embassy for processing" so i believe you are fine. The embassy did not update after that.

ok..am really trippin..wanna be sure m not late..can someone please confirm this little detail to me: the date that shows on the vfs tracking portal is the date the stuff got sent to the embassy right (usually the next day)? not necessary the day you submitted to vfs. One little affirmative answer and i will be a happier person ..lol

TRV_IJN: Better safe than sorry. Get to VFS @ 8am, if you can,explain to someone there how urgent and it is and see if it makes that morning batch to CDHC(you can wait to see the UPS bus leave oo)if not, go to CDHC directly. The latter may be better but just so you try to follow the normal process, I recommend u try the former first. Prepare to report very late @ work. Wish you the best bro

unfortunately didnt read this earlier..I was at vfs 8:05..submitted to them..I didnt tell them about making sure it gets to the emabssy today tho..hope it does.. the tracking page has just change to "The requested documents are received on 04/02/2013, and had been resubmitted to the Embassy for processing"..i hope it made the morning bus.

I will be graduating with a Msc Information Technology from the University of Liverpool by July, 2013, but i intend to migrate with my family to canada thus i intend to use the student visa route, which am hoping that i can later use use to seek for canada PR. Is the college and course considered viable enough by CHC Embassy in Nigeria?
Can the course allow me to seek CEC or PR after i complete the course?
What is the job prospect as it relates to the course!!!

though, am no expert, will try my hands on what i can:

- I think its up to you, the one applying to know the viability of a course to your career and objectives..as long as you are legitimately admitted, I dont think they do any sort of viability test. The question that might arise though is why you are doing IS-Business Analysis, after just finishing MIT, but a little letter from you as to why you think you wanna go for that should fix that for you..just write why they are different and why you think its a further advancement in your study/career path..i think
- I will let the real experts answer that..

in other news..Please house, I need your opinion on this: I am due to resubmit my documents (after medical) on the 4th of February (thats monday).. On the instruction documents it says These must be received at this office by: 02/04/2013 ..verbatim.

considering if I submit to vfs on monday, it gets to "this office" by 5th.. I wanna know if this wouldnt be of any major consequence.. otherwise I take it to "this office" gehgeh in person on monday.. I dont think that would be right though, considering they sent the other conditions to be met to VFS after sending the medical instruction directly to my mail box.. am trying to be super cautious at this point.. lol

1,I want to find out if I need to make a partial or full payment of my fees as I am about to apply for my student visa, in the instructions for applying they advised against paying and indicated that they would inform about when to make payment, however some people are advising I should make payments before applying
2,I am hoping to begin studies 1st week of May and some people are saying I may be late for the May entry can anyone throw more light on this?
3, Also I may be getting another admission letter at a different school, can I swap to this school at some point in the application?

1: From the experience of various people on this thread, I really dont think making payment in advance has any advantage. As long as you provide evidence of sufficient funds, think you will do just fine holding on to payment till they require you to. If anything, only makes it more painful if an application is eventually denied after making payment. someone else can please proffer an opinion on this;
2: Considering they say it take 4-6 months, in theory it could be considered too late.. but really, what do you have to loose in that regard? We have seen cases of people been called for medicals within 2 months. I say you put in your application still. Worse case, they tell you to provide another start date and you get September..that is if you are not considering a plan b in another country for same period tho;
3: I don't think this is possible. Maybe someone else that knows for sure about this can say something.

havnt resubmitted my stuff as per the conditions they gave me.. just got a letter i was waiting for today, plus still got one confirmation i need to sort out from the school.. 4th feb is my submission deadline though, so by God's grace will submit tomorrow or monday.. thanks 4 askin..

Don Cipher: It's very possible, u can boycott evrythn frm Uni app fees, Visa, Tuition, esp Air fares & jst swim all d way to Canada, u dnt nid to bother urself abt POE.

does it make more sense to go this route (finding receipt)? than say to indicate that he cant make payment for accommodation without been physically present..as was previously suggested for same issue..

@DonCipher and prolly anyone that it concern: if you can use the scanned copy..no problem, but if you absolutely need the original copy, and you know the school sends through regular snail mail, you might consider requesting a pickup through DHL or Fedex or any.. I did that when I needed to get another start date..(that was when I was hoping to meet Winter resumption).. I paid about 18k, but at least I got mail in 3 days from when i requested.. I only instructed the school not to send it, and I instructed DHL to pick up..

out of general curiosity, what's it like in ottawa? cost/standard of living.. job prospects..other ish.. lol
