1. Sponsor birth certificate to prove same surname as brother or affidavit of age declaration not done recently or his marriage certificate which will have ur parents name.

they changed the status the next working day.. that was the day I was there though.. so not sure if the change was cos I was there, or was meant to be..

seedgie: @kenny & kayce my friend that i packaged his application, submited oct 5th just got called for medicals 2day through email. Pls hw did u guys do yours. With God all thgs are possible. My hope is increasing evry day for medicals

I received the email on Friday, then went with it to the embassy on monday. They then sent my stuff to vfs and told me to go collect it and also go for medicals.

Mehn..between monday and today..I have been plenty tired.plenty stress..and to make it worse, everyone i can further get clarifications and further instructions from in uOttawa are totally engaged!..I hope my mails get replied soon..calls just entering voicemail.

you asked for the stuff I submitted (Submitted Sept 24 to VFS) earlier. Kinda the regular school stuff, old certs, uOttawa Admission Letter and all..
and these:
The Scholarship Award Letter from NITDA
Another Letter from NITDA to the embassy
Newspaper pages of the Awardees (I just circled my name)
Payslip for past 3 months (I didnt submit any letter from my employer though, as I just resumed a new place in April, and since its less than 6 months, so I just attached a letter that HR will only give me such letter after 6 months)
My Personal Account of about 2Million
Shares Certs

I figured just incase they having issues with the Scholarship thingy, I submitted these:
My Brother's Company Account Statement..well funded
His CAC Documents
His Birth Cert, indicating same parents
A Letter from him, indicating I am his direct brother, going on government scholarship, but if there is any issue, he is ready to support whatsoever.

Think that's about it..now am told to pay 1yr tuition and accommodation, get new start date, and provide Tax Clearance for my bro's coy.

I have news. My sch program co-ordinator replied me and asked if I will be able to make spring which starts May. U guess wat my answer was - YES!
I now await the offer. Idomaboi really brought d hope back and God is making all things new.
I'll try and use d time ( frm now to May) to get sum intl certs.

what do u mean update my start date? i believe what they mean is tht i should present another valid state date, which i already have according to my admission letter.

tuition is about 14,000CAD per session

i have a may start day already.. would just point them to that in my letter. yes it takes care of it, but i have not made the payment as per cdhc requirement not to make payment till told. will proceed to do that now. abeg anyone know how to avoid paying for accomodation? cos i dont intend to stay on campus.

@Medical awaitees hw far? Any updates...chk ur spam mail o! Cus ds mailing, may b dia new style. My intl passport came in 4rm d embassy ds evening but I had to use my drivers license tru out 2day, embassy is rili slow ds period, I hav a feeling a restructuring is being done.

I went first to the embassy in the morning..and they told me to go for the medicals, and that my package has been resent back to vfs. I woulda done the medicals today, but the crowd was mad, prolly cos of when I got there considering the time i spent at the embassy.i just made payment sha, with the intent of going there tomrw morning to do the medicals..

Did they instruct you to get another start date? they prolly wouldnt in your case, considering they have sent your stuff since dec..but they told me to get another start date, make payment and the likes..funny is..the admission letter i submitted already indicates that I resume winter, spring or fall 2013. so i kinda dont get why they want me to get another date..my assumption is just that they missed that.

Yes I got the instructions in my mailbox. The subject is "Citizenship & Immigration Canada: Information about **application number**"

abeg quick one..considering my case we talked about before (the grant guy to uottawa with UK backup running out of time)..pls, if it happens that I cant make it again to ottawa and I proceed to UK for my MRes.. how possible or easy is it for me to route back to Canada..just trying to lay on my cards on d table

MissAhoy: I have always followed this thread, i applied for TRV but not for student visa and thus the reason i have not been contributing, though the thread has been quite inspiring. I have a question for Kayce43 and Kenniy, we have similar situations, a mail was sent to my agents and CDHC asked me to go for medicals with an attachment stating my details and file numbers and a medical form,but VFS has not updated their site, and am wondering if i can go for the medicals or not without my passport. Although the attachment said a means of identification passport or driver's licence or national ID.

I intend to go to the embassy tomrw morning to sort this out..majorly because cos they only sent the medical instructions to my mailbox, not instructions to pay school fees..and cos I am running really late so would prefer to do both if i have any hope of making it..

Siga: .....even though classes starts next week.....one can still join within 2weeks....but, based on CDHC history.....I will put my money down that they wont issue ur TRV until February earliest....and at which point they will ask you to arrange a new resumption date....so...the main question is....ur grant....wen is the deadline on it...as in, when do u have to use it before loosing it....thats wat u should focus more on....free money no dey come everyday....if u can advise the grant people of the delay and they are willing to giv u till Fall....then I will say, defer ur admission till Fall and wait for CDHC to advise otherwise after medicals....but if ur Grant people cant wait....bros, I go advise u withdraw and face UK if u have a valid admission there....

Deadline for grant is May.. just been wishful. cos for obvious reason, would prefer canada. yh..have a valid master with research admission to durham UK to resume Mar 1st..just hoping there is a route back..

so, what do u think my final option could be if I really wanna push my luck? My admission letter to uottawa already indicate i could resume this spring or fall2013..

kayce43: Ma broda , this exactly the same tin dat happend to me since 19th of December, till today no update on Vfs website, so my agency told me this morning dat they had to print the mail and take it to the embassy physically, so they get an update y my passport hasn't reached Vfs.

just got a mail directly from CIC for medicals..not an update on vfs website, which by the way has not been updated even till now.. a direct mail with the medical instructions. no advice to make payment. just medicals. Thing is, my school (uOttawa) resumes class next week, and when I asked for resumptions extension yesterday, they said I have to wait till Fall 2013 if I cant make it to class by next friday. Am thinking of further appealing to them, and probably calling or mailing higher authorities in the school to appeal that.. dunno..

Just last night (before this medical instructions of cos), I made up my mind to retrieve my documents, and proceed to my plan B (UK), because I am running on a full FGN (NITDA) scholarship, and its time sensitive kinda.

At this point am totally lost. Any suggestions abeg?

freshdude: o levels is only required for undergraduate students, but u can still include it in ur file if u want to. so many people have gotten their trvs without including their o level certificate. why do u need to put ur official transcript and degree certificate.? is just like saying someone going for undergraduate should include his/her first school leaving certificate.

lots of people have been refused with reasons like 'not a bonafide student'.. thats the reason its advised to put proof of degree..

why not call their contact number to be sure.. (+18885114811). depending on the location, you prolly will have to wait 2-4 hrs to call them.

But I was thinking CDHC should be able to use an email confirmation of payment. can you check with those that have previously made the payment, so you would not have to wait for so long. If you can,then you just mail/call the school to confirm the payment via email,if possible, a scan copy of the receipt (or an electronic receipt) and print same for CDHC..

sorry for all the refusals..
but something I have since noticed: seems for every refusal, they always state "Dont think you would return after ur course of study" ..irrespective of other reasons for denial..
cos lots of ppl that didnt establish any tangible home tie were given, as long as they are satisfied with other documents..just my opinion

funny..everything I see, read and think indicates I should be alright with my application..yet I panic like no man's business..all cos of the uncertainty of the CDHC..may God SWT deliver us all..(**sorry..just need to burst out that mini-rant**)
