bullstriker: @all, finally,i received my first medical call after 3 denials in 2yrs.i submitted on 5th april.i give kudos to each member of this house,especially to oga Siga whose contructive critisms and input made my letter of intent outstanding;thats the only doc that was absent in all my previous applications.
where is mercylicious,xtus, et al who has been denied twice or more,u can still get it.

under normal circumstances..yeah 2-4 wks.. no sir..got my TRV..but took well over 2 months after medicals..but then circumstances wasnt normal as at tht time..from recent happenings, seems they have improved significantly

i did.. u wouldn't know.. they send straight to the embassy. so u have to just wait for them. takes like 2-4weeks from my understanding

adewaleafolabi: The TRV form requires me to list all step & half siblings and their date of births. I have somewhat lots of step-sibiling, some of which we've not spoken in years, and pratically all i know about them is just their names. Can't i just skip that part ? Thanks

I had the meeting with him yesterday and I know very well that God is at work. He is willing to do everything in his capacity to help me out at no cost. He said he will sponsor me with the company's account. He also promised to give me an employment letter with ID card. He is into Importation of computers and photocopy machines; that is what i have been doing since 2003(sales and services of computer and photocopy machines).The difference is; he is an importer while I am an engineer. So how do we correlate it with my course of study(Information and Communication Technology)? How can we make them know(proof) that I will be coming back to pick a post at the company after my study? What other document do I need from him apart from the statement of acct,letter of introduction, ID card and affidavit of support? I am also thinking of completing and get a professional certificate of some Information Technology professional courses that I already had the knowledge of.E.g, web development, Microsoft access database and Networking.Getting these professional certificates;do you think it will boost my chances and shows that I am not idle for all the years that I have been working. Remember I am going for 2 years college program at the undergraduate level in hope of furthering it to degree level.Anticipating your urgent reply.Thanks to you all.

since u are already the engineer, he indicating in the letter of intent that the company is sponsoring you to horn ur technical skills.. as u are been positioned as the technical manager (or CTO)..somethin like dt.. really there is much flow in what you do, the company sponsoring u and what u r goin to study.. you wouldn't need much convincing. you should be more concern with why he is sponsoring..the relationship btw u guys..cos its not exactly normal that a relatively small company would make any such investment in a staff..there has to be some bond

I have searched my drafts, inbox , everything. So I have sent an email regarding this issue to them. I am expecting their reply. But please has anyone experienced this?

You need to do very well in your HR program… most universities in Canada only take 2:1's or first class, but your good results from your PGD will certainly help you.

to everyone asking if its too late for sept..would you stop the application if someone told you for sure its too late?
I dont think the embassy would deny any study application just because the application came in late. the most they can do is request another resumption window, and since most schools has january resumption, that shouldnt be too bad.
i was to resume in january, and had to defer to september; when u get the visa, might just be worth it.
of which..there are cases where people got issued visa in 3-4 months..abeg just apply, and try not to overload the application with irrelivant documents to minimize processing time..and leave d rest to God.

out of place bawo.. very makes plenty sense sef.. lol.. i dont think u need to provide ur own statement of acct.. especially if you didnt indicate you sponsoring yourself in any way.

the part about using both dad and elder brother.. makes more sense.. indicates he isn't just randomly picking sponsors.. since d elder brother is still a sponsor, and the dad sorta providing the 'iroko' support.. lol..

i see zero implications..even better for u it seems since ur dad has direct responsibility on you. you can just have him write a letter add indicating he is sponsoring you now as his son, since they consider your elder brother's sponsorship not good enough (in more soothing tone of cos..lol)..

exactly my initial tots..its was the school that referred maple and even copied them in a reply email, and my initial tot was 'forget it..just do the stuff urself'..but out of curiosity, we tot, whats the harm in asking questions. we asked them (maple) the cost for admission only and specifically told them we are not applying for visa through them. also bear in mind d N50k includes the $100 application fee you would need to pay to the school if you applying directly. i really consider it a good/prudent/time-saving/less-stressful deal at d end day.

kellyemms: Hello nairalanders, plz is there any school in canada dat require submition of application and supporting documents online. Becauz most skul I av seen require u sending supportin documents like reference letter, transcript etc via post or courier to the school postal address

in cases like ds, you might consider schools that have agents in nigeria. especially colleges. one i know for sure is algonquin uses maples as their nigerian agent.some others will too. so you send ur transcript and original documents to d agent and they process d admission. i know maple charges N50,000 for same service, but i still think its worth considering.

when i applied, i didnt use any agents.. but as at when i started, i still had time, and i did send all documents to d school.. at d point of sending my original certificate, i used dhl for security/efficiency reasons, and i requested a pickup via dhl to get my certificate back. dt to n fro service alone cost me like N30,000.

when u get the admission, then u can apply directly to d embassy or via vfs urself. i wouldn't consider or advice on using any agent for that.

Nuendo: LETTER OF INTENT
1. Start off with a very very short description of who u are and your basic interests
2. Your qualifications , degree , etc
3. Work experience relevant to your first degree etc.
4. why you want to do a masters and how doing such would benefit you in your life aspirations
5. why you want to study in in Canada instead of Nigeria or another country e.g USA, UK etc
6. The u have to somehow try to convince the visa officer that your study would be beneficial back home thereby reinforcing your intent to come back home after studies.




LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP:

1. Sponsor should introduce himself, occupation, address
2. Explain his relationship to you.
3. Explain why he wants to sponsor you ( if he isn't blood related.)
4. Assure that he has the financial means to be responsible for all your expenses


DISCLAIMER : This isn't a perfect guide but going by most of what i have seen online, this could be a starting point.
my 2 cents.

i consider this way way better than any already made letter. it ensures no too letter are same. well played Sir.

*ps.. i hate request for sample letters since we cant guarantee its not gon b copied verbatim .. alway prefer guides like ds..

i assume those are individual scans that u combined to pdf.. reduce the size of each image first before joining them..

i just looked through the checklist, both the copy i have with me and the one on the site..guess m missing something.. can you please quote the section and what it says..

nothing says you should submit any of ur siblings birth certs, except if any one of them is your sponsor then you prolly need to submit as evidence of relationship in that case.
parent marriage cert? i see no reason for this

Which of the birth certificate is best to submit to CDHC, is it the one issue by the hospital where u were given birth or the one obtain from NPC?

i don't know if my answer will be of much help.. but i submitted my own original birth certificate from local government, and since i also included a letter and account statement from my elder brother, i also submitted a re-issued local government birth certificate for him (he couldn't find his original so we had to process a re-issue from the council, dated for 2010, think i paid around 1-3k for that, cant rem precisely)
also note that he wasn't my primary sponsor tho, just submitted his stuff as backup

Huzzie: Hello house, no cogent reason was given for my denial, its their normal denial template wiv NOT CREDIBLE as other reason. I still await UNBC though, and my agent suggest Humber and centennial college for january start.

sorry bout ur denial. think you have a valid case for immediate reapplication tho..you prolly attach notes explaining every single document that's not clear enough.. went through same last year.. you'll be alright in'sha'Allah..

think u can email lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca to ask for it..but even if they dont reply in good time u should be fine with ur other details and ur vfs number if you know dt

Is S.O.A is about 2m and his willing to surmit is landed document of a c of o which is value at about 18million. That he is willing to sell any of the plot of land to furward my education. Please good people of naira land i want to fine out with this method if am sure of getting the student visa. Please your advice is needed

One thing I know for sure is they like to 'see the money'. I had a denial last year, with insufficient funds been the reason, even though I submitted a SOA of over 2mill, and matured bonds of over 6mill, amongst other documents..with the assumption that bonds is as good as cash.well d rest is history.
think u should go with onye oma's suggestions
