Evening NL, pls I got my 9s about two weeks ago at Top deal, Ikeja, everything was working perfectly until when I realized that it doesn't possess fast charging, as in I can charge it full within d interval of 3-4hrs...
D battery is superb in terms of consumption, no issues so far, only d fast charging!

Have tried using another charger and also d follow come charger, same thing!
Have tried blowing d charging port, same thing!

Worst part; have sent my RN7 with my 9s carton and receipt to Kwara through transport for my bro...

NB: it's charging ooo and also showing fast charging icon but to me; not functioning...

I don't know if the 9s come with fast charger out of the box but if not, try another charger that supports quick Charge 3.0.

Another thing is that some charger would claim to Support qc 3.0 and will even show the fast charging icon on your phone but would not Charge fast. So ensure you find original fast charger with very good Cord.

I prefer ADM pro especially for refreshing download links but I use both sha, but versatility, IDM+(Torrent Download).

sajmark:
IDM beats ADM when it comes to fixing and resuming a download link that has been broken... that is the most important feature I look forward to in a download manager. I was downloading a video on both IDM and ADM then I purposely switch to a SIM card without data so that the download would fail, when I switched back to the SIM card with data ADM couldn't repair the link/resume the download which IDM did. Better safe than sorry.

nani667:

ADM is bess by far >>>>

Thanks for the input. I think I would test it out myself to see which of the soup is sweeter.

How is this IDM+ compared to ADM?

Anybody that has used both can reply. I use ADM and I'm looking to switch if IDM is better

How true is the issue that using a case for your phone makes it retain heat and in the long run isn't good for your battery?

I got one case and I dey contemplate whether to use or not

You did not seem to understand me.

I do understand how batteries charge.

My concern is as follow.

1. Charging appears a bit slow.
2. Noticed that the battery charged at 3.6A(3600mah) just once ever and for a brief moment.
3. After some time, charging fluctuates and it's not even up to 80% at what point charging starts to wind down. At say 50%, the phone is taking in 2.5A in one moment and another, phone is drawing just 1A or 1.5A or even worse .5A(500mah). For flash charging or even regular charging, shouldn't it maintain an almost constant amperage until 80%?

My problem is inconsistent amperage for a phone that's barely used. Also shouldn't the phone draw more power when it's in use or before 80%? My Umidigi Power (5150mah) usually draws 2.5A during normal charge up till 80% but under use while charging, it could go as high as 2.6A and 2.7A on heavy use. If the phone could go as high as 18watts, 0.5A, 1A, 2A should be a cause of concern except in the instance where the phone is actually using 9V:2A.

The fluctuations are a cause of concern and could this be the reason why the battery appears to be charging slowly?

I don't think you can trust that Ampere app 100%. I notice that if one constantly checks phone while charging, it may appear to Charge slower than normal.

I suggest charging without excessive monitoring, you may notice that it charges normally.

As long as it's a 4000-5000 mah battery, 18watt fast Charge shouldn't be more that 2hours 30minutes from 0-100

I have updated my redmi 8a few hours ago from miui 10 to 11 about 1gb. I was expecting an android 10 but to my surprise the phone is still on android 9. Now another update has pop up again, this time it is 1.7gb. My question is I hope this is android 10?
Yeah it's android 10. The Q in the name shows that. Just know that there's no noticeable difference in the appearance. I'm on android 10 too on 8a

I have known fair and well that taking it to them would barely yeild anything positive. All these warranty and Guarantee things are all facade of false security; it is time for Slot and Xiaomi to take responsibility but anyway, all is well.

I understand your case. Those warranty stuff na scam. Bought an itel phone some months ago (not slot tho) and discovered that it takes 6hours to charge. Tried returning it but they declined.

As for your case, since it's software issue, you fit try clearing the data of the find device app... or play around with some settings you can try.

Maybe, guys who can flash xiaomi devices can help you install the firmware afresh.

Or maybe an OTA update would fix it. But I can almost assure you that the issue can be fixed since it's a software problem.

Is this same itel that I'm using abi another one? The phone you're talking about has to be a fairly used phone because charging problems are peculiar to 2nd hand phones, not new phones bro

Brand new unboxed phone. I'm speaking from my own experience. Your experience with itel phones may have been favorable
