No you don't have to. My husband travels with British airways n stops @ Heathrow for about 4- 5 hours before heading to Toronto. I have never seen a UK visa in his passport b4.

thanks I just even confirmed from uk govt website you are exempted from a transit visa if you have a Canadian USA or Australian visa

Sponsors are my parents and I'm 23. All the best guys! The wait was terrible but I give all thanks to God.

congrats.. go for ur medicals ASAP I would suggest iom clinic if you are in lagos or close to Lagos. the fee is 28k call to book appointment and documents to bring

With all thanks to the Almighty Father, I want to inform the house that I have been delayed.

Purpose of visit, Personal Assets and Financial Status were ticked as the main reason for the refusal.

List of what I submitted.

1) A personal fixed deposit account with N5.5m in my account.

2) Sponsors: A statement of account from my husband : N5.3m
My younger brother's statement of account: about N19m;
My sister-in-law's work payslip as a nurse in America about $3,000 monthly with a letter from her stating she will pay for my
accommodation in Canada

3) My home tie is my husband and two children.

4) My job is closely related to my course of study. I work as a Vice Principal and I am going for a masters course in Educational
Leadership. I included copy of work Identity Card, letter of employment (present and past).

5) I even included a breakdown of my proposed expenses vis-a-vis the one provided by the school.

6) Copy of personal landed property in Lagos and Ogun.

7) I think I wrote what is to be expected on my SOP.


Thanks guys for being there for me. For now, I am not thinking of refiring or what do you guys think?

Purpose of visit probably u didn't satisfy the VO ur primary aim of visit is study did u pay part of ur fee?

Personal assets and financial status : I would advice u to liquidate ur fixed deposit account when it is matured so the 5.5M would drop into ur account then print out ur statement of account

Also the VO might assume since u have up to 5M why don't u list ur self as part of the sponsor

After vexing and mailing CIC yesterday. They decided to respond to me with an email this evening.

So , I logged on to CIC and found out I av been delayed. Their Reasons below:

Purpose of visit-Their papa.I have a B.Eng Petroleum going for Masters Chemical.Work experience:Process engineer

Travel History- First time is not a crime

Financial and Personal asset- I showed over 800k in my account bt sponsors have a total of 14m.

Please no pity party. I haven't lost anyone. Will def re-apply by Sept when I push my start date to January..

try pay atleast half of ur tuition to show ur primary aim is to study

if you ur sponsor is making available 7M how much is ur tuition ? deducted from 7M how much is left? for living expenses

in ur next app include employment letter showing at least u have experience in ur field also in ur letter of reference from ur employer let him state that you took permission u will be studying for a duration of so so period make sure it covering ur study duration . also get a study leave if you have been working there for a reasonable number of years note it should be stated in ur leave letter the duration of the leave let it cover ur study period.

for ur sponsors
are they married?
how many dependants do they have?
did u explain the relationship btw u guys?
did u explain why they spending that much on u since they ur uncle and cousin respectively and not ur parents

travel history and financial asset were just ticked as formality I guess even someone with good travel history was denied based on travel history

CIC notified me and also VFS notified me ..

a friend of mine did his medicals at IOM on Friday he was contacted by the clinic today for further test on cardiology hope it isn't a serious problem??

I was given separately .letter of introduction, employment letter, and study leave all 3 separately

Helo guys! I received an email that I should go for my madical aftr submitting my application a month ago for student visa canada. I went for d medical and I did all d necessary test that they wanted. So aftr d test, I also did my e-medical where I was interview by a doctor and he ask me about my previous health history and I told him dat I was diagnose for ulcer 2 years ago. My fear is that will there refuse me visa cos of d ulcer stuff. Pls I nid ur answer cos I'm tense up. Tnx

ulcer won't affect ur application... keep calm only major diseases which can pose threat to the citizens of the country you going to

u can't apply now cos u need some documents from ur institution to apply for admission and visa document such as transcript, statements of result/certificate
