@ fluxyn....please can you give me ur mail addy or mobile digit to discuss with you..thanks
Grace, from what I understand, you need to certify your documents again. Get back your documents, go to a high court and get them certified OK.

Honestly, I think you began this winter application late. Some might still urge you on, but I won't. I'd rather you retreat (we've mostly been there), assess and prepare yourself early enough for Summer or better still Winter.

In the mean time, I'd advise you use the next 6 months to learn the language. Either by enrolling with Goethe Institute or contracting a private tutor.

All the best dearie.

I have not been to any of the states but I have people that are there. Siegen semester ticket will give you access to all the towns and cities in NRW which is the state with the highest population in Germany, though, it is a city of about 100K inhabitants. I think you should be able to find something doing most importantly with the advantage of the semester ticket. Frankfurt, on the other hand, is one of the Germany economic capitals with a population of about 700 - 800K but the semester ticket cannot take you throughout the whole state like NRW. However, there will be more opportunities than the former. If I should pick between the two, I will pick Frankfurt but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. Once in a while, someone in a small city might have gotten a job while someone in a big city is still searching, it sometimes depends on luck and what you are able to offer. Sit down discuss with your inner man, if you are a Christian, let the spirit of the Lord directs you. Finally, while coming, you can certify some documents along. If you get to city/course A and it is not making sense, don't waste time before you quickly switch to plan B. Wishing you all the best. Shalom
Honestly wanna say thanks to Dolpaz and Honourableseyi. God will continue to bless you guys.

After all said and done, like you said, am more at peace with the small city(Siegen) than with the big city. That's cos God is not restricted to big cities.
Would still pray about it again. At the end of it all, it's to do His will and see Him glorified in my life.

OK, enough of the preaching.

Before I go, Honourableseyi, you made mention of certifying documents, can you expatiate on that.

Thanks as always

Just 29? When we are having above 30 coming for Bsc and already in Germany? It doesn't matter, go ahead with your application. Shalom
Boss, nice job. Lemme use this opportunity that I have to ask this question. I have an option of going to Siegen or Frankfurt for Economic Policy. I prefer Siegen (which is a small city) actually because of that and some academic reasons. Am not one to be influenced by how big a city is. If need be o can still relocate after studies. What do you make of my town Siegen and my choice. Thanks.

Berliner, Dolpaz, Willy, your inputs are highly sought after in this regard too.

God bless

Good day house, I have a Higher National Diploma in Marine Transport and Business Management and wish to apply to a German school. I tried searching for schools that offer Post Graduate Diplomas or a direct Masters admission to HND holders but I am having difficulties finding one. I will really appreciate if anyone can suggest schools that offer PGDs or admit HND holders for a Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Management and Business Management.
Thanks
No PGDs in Germany. You also can't use HND to gain direct admit to Masters. Best shot is B.Sc

Funding before your interview has a lot of pros and no con that I can think of. One of it is that you get your visa fast as long as you have funded. Although it all depends on how fast your alien office process your visa sha.

My Transcript.

Had my interview today.
I got to the embassy around 5:40am, I met just one person on the queue.

Mr. Paulinus arrived around 6:30 am, and by 7am, they called the first four student visa applicants to come forward.

We were asked to switch off our phones and he gave the four of us 3 chairs each to arrange our documents in the order he was going to call it out.

Immediately he started, he noticed the first guy wasn't really fast, he just started shouting at the guy, telling him that it's like he doesn't want to do his interview today.

From the info i got here, I already knew what to expect and I arranged by documents properly before going to the embassy.

Mr. Paulinus really frustrated the other guys that came out with me. He even threatened to send them out. Me I was just focused, before he even finish mentioning the next document I have already brought it out. He was now telling the other guys why can't they be as organised as me. Honestly, that man puts too much pressure on people, the time he uses to shout can be used to tell them what he needs them to do. You just hv to be very organised and fast to avoid his wahala.

He left the other guys and asked me to go in for the next stage.

I went in, sat for about 20 minutes then one guy and another lady that came for family reunion joined me. after like five minutes, they took the 3 of us to another building inside the compound for out interview.

We waited for some minutes then they asked us to go inside 3 diffent rooms for the interview.

Me: Good morning.
VO: Good morning.
VO: Have you traveled before?
Me: Yes
VO: Have you funded?
Me: No. she gave me a form to sign and asked me to make sure I fund as soon as possible.
VO: What course?
Me: Told her
Vo: What school?
Me: Told her.

She now went on to complete my biometric.

VO: Lets begin the Interview now.
Me: Ok Ma
VO: Why this course? I was about dealing with the question when the VO told me that I should just give her a very brief answer, so I shortened my answer.

Vo: Why Germany?
Me: Told Her. she asked me to keep my answers short again.

Vo: Why not UK, US or Canada?
Me: Told her, had to give her a direct and short answer cuz that's what she said she wants.

VO: What do you know about Germany? please just the key points only.
Me, I mentioned while she types.
VO: Have you been to Germany or Any European countries before?
Me: Germany, No, Another European country yes, I mentioned the country.
Vo: What your plans after your studies?
Me: Told her.

Vo: What's your Bsc. thesis?
Me: Told her.

Vo: That will be all, my office will contact you via male, have a nice day.
Me: Enjoy the rest of your day.

My personal observation:
I spent about 50 minutes with her. most of the time was used by her for typing in my answers.

It seems they have a lot of applications to attend to, hence why she told me from the get go to make my answers very short.

If you answer your questions confidently, they will most likely not give you a test even if they have time for it.

Be calm, the Interview is actually easy to pass through.
Congratulations man. It's ending in praise.

Seems interviews now are long. When we did ours two weeks ago, it was barely up to 25 mins

We are all going to Germany by the grace of the Lord Jesus.

Amen

Hi everyone. Please help attend to this...this is like the 5th time that i am posting this
1. You can so long as its explicitly spelt out that you've been admitted and the enrollment deadline and all are shown on it.

3. The date you gonna get for an appointment is heavily dependent on the enrollment deadline written on your admission notification.

2. I truly haven't had anyone use that kind of arrangement from here and as such might not be in the best place to advise. I'd leave that for bosses like Honourableseyi, Berliner1, EKe and so on to treat. Hope that goes a long way.

I hesitated answering because of that no2.
There you go.

Hello guys,

I really need your help and it's quite urgent. I planned on processing admission for winter semester in Germany but I haven't been able to because my transcript which I applied for since March was not ready until yesterday . Most of my choice universities deadlines have passed though I had resigned myself to wait till summer.

But I want to ask if there's still a chance for me for winter because some if the schools that offer my course have their deadline on May 31/ June 1 while 2 other universities are June 15.
Another thing is that most of them require TOEFL, though I have registered for it but my exam date is still June 16th. So I wanted to ask if there's a way to notify the schools .

I also want know if the deadline is for the day Uni assist receives the application or the school received the application. Please note that most of the schools and course I'm applying for are free admission (no nc).

I know I can get my documents certified and possibly send on monday through dhl.

But I would like to get replies to my worries stated above, so I don't just waste money and time. Thanks all.
Honestly, not to sound pessimistic, forget about Winter. Focus on getting your transcripts, TOEFL, certify all you need to certify, take note of the schools you gonna apply to during Summer, their requirements and deadlines. Also, always read up info on this thread from now till Summer. You would be better informed to make right choices as to school selection and all. In other words, just prepare for Summer. Not a bad place to start from.

I think it's immature to easily insult people for contributing. At least he was creative enough to think of offering a solution. Am not in support either but then, we don't have to call people names all in the name of commenting.

Annoying thing is y'all don't know much about social media etiquette. Funny enough, this dude might not be your mate. Just cos you on same thread and platform with people don't mean u should throw away your manners.

Thanks pls explain how to go about the funding of account the bank u use and days it will take nd all sorts
I got someone to make the payment on my behalf from outside the country and it took just a day or two to confirm. All in all, via Fintiba, it took about 5 working days to open and confirm payment last year. Don't know what obtains. I observed they added an extra charge of €100.

You can easily open a dorm account in Nigeria, change to € and wire straight up to your account.

Hope that helps
