please what is AM, BA, SL.
AM = Approval Mail. Means your visa is approved and ready for collection.
BA= Blocked account which is about €8900 lately. Consist of your monthly expenses for 12 months.

SL=Sponsorship letter. This can be used in the stead of a BA. It's been issued by a working German resident on your behalf.

Hope that's clear enough

Anyone coming to Lagos for interview pls stay away from EXTENDED STAY GRAND HOTEL (behind Canadian Embassy)..those people are thieves, they will make u book a room online (10,500)...when u get there, they will tell u they don't have any room for that price that their room starts from 14k. ....and the rooms are absolutely not worth the money...and a plate of rice and chicken is 3k. ...as in....

Better places to stay are New world Inn(7k), even Sapper Lodge(12k)....(don't be scared about walking alone around 5:30am, that place is really okay and safe, u will even see a lot of people out at that same time, even the queue @us embassy is ridiculous) grin

Secondly if u are coming from abuja like me, pls ignore those hungry airport workers, they told me getting to VI cost 7k and only for me to later ask a friend and they told me it's btw 3-5k...Lagos people have problem with integrity, I swear!...don't trust anyone in Lagos...and yes their girls wear really really short things(I was shy on their behalf)and can be very very rude
Lagos is like a street filled with amazing characters. It takes the fear of God to maintain your integrity and sanity.

Didn't you see "This is Lagos" and not "Welcome to Lagos". You think they mean say? Wise up, that's what it means.

Anyways, on behalf of Ambode, I welcome you to EKo

If there is anyone in the house that has successfully used the Emirates airline promo to book his flight to anyone of these German cities (munich, berlin and hamburg) please let us know..
Oga, goan use Turkish air. Awoof no reach that side. The promo only extends to students going to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf I think.

All the best. Travelstart.com should help

This depends on which jurisdiction your city registration/foreign office falls under. For some small town or registration area, you can register your house and proceed to the immigration office for your visa extension (i.e resident and work permit inclusive) all within one week. A temporary permit will be issued to you pending the time your card will be produced. with this, you can work legally.

In other cases, you need to book an appointment to even register your house or visit the immigration for visa extension and this can take between one to four months on the average.

To clarify my explanation.... in the Hauptstadt KIEL these process takes between one to four months on the average to issue a resident/work permit. Funny enough there are some suburbs around KIEL (10 to 15 minutes by bus) where the process of house registration and issuance of the resident/work permit is just within a week (No appointment is needed here)

Tip: Relate with folks living in your destination city... There might be a way to fasten the process likewise to get some hustle in the meantime.

There are some jobs you don't need any registration for Z.b UMZUGHILFE (Moving Help) and some more... (relate with kind guys in your destination city for OT)....

meine zwei Löffel....
Bro, so grateful. We really appreciate.

Hi guys, I had my interview on the 11th of this month @ the German embassy in Abuja for student visa, and it was as cool as anyone could have wanted it to be, less or no tension like it isn't in Lagos
That day after the interview, I wasn't given back my passport, the lady said I am gonna leave it with them.
Anyways till now I haven't received any reply from them and it's almost 3weeks now, Pls any ideas how long it's takes?
Might take 4-6 weeks to get an AM sir. So be patient

Thank you and God bless you.
I understand your point of view. You are absolutely right.

However, If I had seen questions that were unattended to or were not answered in the right context, I would have gladly answered.

You can be rest assured you will see more of me going forward with beneficial pieces of information as they relate to my previous experience and knowledge.
That's a matured mind/response. Thumbs up for not tryna defend yourself or be rude/insultive. All the best and hope to see you in DE.

I heard it's the best place for jobs and renewal of PR. ...1.Please do u think it's possible to move there after my first year of bsc in lower Bavaria (pfarrkirchen)?
2. Can u tell me more about this my school city (pfarrkirchen)
No idea about your city. The little I know about mine(Siegen) is that after your first year with BA, no need to show 8640 in your account before been given RP.

As for moving, sure about Masters there. B.Sc don't know much. My Ogas can shed more light

Please another question.. As we all know, most of us cant easily afford the blocked account and may have to use our entire savings to pay for that one year. This means that the next year will be funded by either what you are able to save up from the hours of work allowed in Germany or if you have people that can send you money. Now my question please:

1) Is the "120 days of full time work" allowed enough to fund the second year of blocked account?
2) I read that they do not even allow using online work to supplement your income..Do this mean you can't do freelance work or trade binary options or forex?
3) What other options do people that make it to Germany have for coping with this second year especially as we all know that getting that part time job isnt easy?
1. Yes and No. Depends on your city and how much of your education and good grades you willing to sacrifice. My Ogas no better sha.

2. Don't really know much about that.

3. The other option is to go to cities that don't really require you having another 8640 for the second zyear. I found out from a friend in my school that I don't need to have another 8640 the next year for my RP to be renewed. Another galfriend of mine in another state is expected to show just half that amount. This type of conditions are mostly found in small cities and towns.

Hope that helps. Still expect me Ogas come and do justice.

All the best.

Danke

Anyone wants to help me on this issue ? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Send the school a reminder. Hopefully, they gonna get back to you.

In case they don't, still go ahead with your interview, chances of making it are slim but God still works wonders. People have received their AMs in two weeks. Your case can be one of those exceptions

Good Afternoon Pals,

Come and join me and praise God. He has done it again. I want to testify that I have gained admission into
University of Hohenheim (MSc International Business and Economics). I am so happy. Stuttgart is a top city - I have heard good things about it. It was a
restricted course, and I was selected.

I will still wait for Heidelberg, Leibniz and Jena. Thank God.
Congrats.

I sincerely hope that in the midst of this rejoicing and waiting, you have applied or are making plans to book for an interview date. If not, please do. Dates are almost running out.
