Hello all,

I applied for study permit 3 times via paper route. I linked the 3rd attempt online so I can have the convenience of tracking the updates. On July 29, I checked online to see application refused after initial medical passed update some 2 weeks earlier. I then wrote VFS Nigeria to know whether the passport was ready for collection. I got a response that it's still under processing. Could it be that it's my previous application that was updated online and not the very last one?

@Oyeleye, go to cic website (cic.gc.ca), create an account using Gc key as if you want to apply online, instead click on link paper to this account and follow the links, fill in every detail as it appeared on your application, thats all

When did u graduate or years of work experience? This questions direct to "purpose of Visit" or you can order for your GCMS FILE before reapplying

@CASIE, Please explain more on your response to childof wealth. I was denied twice based on purpose of visit. I added accompanying family members (TRV for wife and 3 kids), I have long academic gap (finished HND 2004), I worked and wrote professional exams within this period. I studied Accounting but got admitted for Business Administration. What could have happened to be denied twice?

You did not add tax certificate in that list. As a business owner you need that in other to evaluate your business.

My entity is still on tax holiday. I registered it in 2014. You know that kind company where the hubby and wife are directors. Could that be a basis for denial on Purpose of Visit ONLY?

I was denied based on Purpose of Visit ONLY. I suspect not including statement of purpose must have contributed to this. I'm 40. I have HND Accounting. I want to pursue a BSc degree in Business Administration. I also applied for TRV for my wife and 3 children so they could visit me in Canada whenever they are on vacation. I want to know whether I could use the medical I did while reapplying. Will I ask IOM Ikeja to send it to CIC or get a copy and include it in my documents when reapplying? I did paper application initially and still want to do paper application again. I didn't do upfront medical initially. I got a medical request via mail. I have written a detailed letter of purpose to be included in my application this time. Thanks for taking time to address my challenges. God bless you all.

Virgin International Passport,
Building Design printout (Jointly owned by my wife and I),
Birth certificate, Police Clearance certificate
HND Accounting (2004) Certificate, NYSC 2005 Certificate
ACCA Result Sheet (Showing I've passed 11/14 papers, In my opinion, there's no academic gap cos I still sat exam in Dec, 2015 and passed)
Company Registration Documents and evidence of Job done
Past Employment & promotion letter
Evidence of student's payment account of 5,950 CAD
Evidence of Hostel application fee, security and confirmation deposit

MY WIFE & KID'S DOCUMENTS
International Passport showing one UK travel history for her and 2 of the kids.
SOA (1.2m)
School certificates
Employment letter and introductory letter showing her total package and level at work
Introductory letter from the kid's school that they would go on vacation in April (We anticipated that I would have gone in January) and school fees receipt

Let me say again that I did paper application, was called for medical and the VO only ticked 'Purpose of Visit' ONLY as the basis for refusing both applications. Thanks for your assistance Justwise.

Their rate is unbelievably lower. You'll bite your finger if you don't go through them. After filling the form with your school and the amount you you want to pay in dollars.

STEPS:
1. Select Institution
2. Put the amount you want to transfer in Canadian Dollars
3. Put your country- Nigeria
4. Select or check: International Bank Transfer in US Dollars (USD)
Then fill your contact information and Click continue with payment

You will then get a print out that you will take to your bank to raise Form A.

You must have been directed to Peer Transfer by your school I presume. You will create an account on their website and enter the amount you want to transfer. You will still conclude the transaction with your local bank by raising Form A. Please chat with their Customer Service online for more details. Peer Transfer has an unbeatable rate. Please go for them. I did and I am very, very happy.

Happy new year house.I will like the guru in the house to kindly bail my mind out from d fear of unknown.Pls I submitted through paper route on 5th Nov.and medical called on 25th Nov.This is where the fear comes,In the medical message i couldn't find and medical form I only saw stamped data page PP and I sent back to them but no reply in time.Then i took the stamped data page pp to the clinic at Ikeja and they gave me another medical form to filled with my IME no. and the result was sent the CIC on 4th December because i did on 2th Dec.Pls hope this can not affect my chance?because i am still waiting and my school has already resumed on Monday. There are usually two mails. One containing the stamped passport data page and the other containing the medical form.

Things may still change, but as at 24 Nov when I applied, they rejected family pictures both originals and photocopies.

That's true. I applied on 24 Nov and family pictures were rejected. I was told they were instructed not to take it anymore.
