Hi all, Is inclusion of Statement of purpose compulsory for paper Visa application? Secondly, can one apply against January now? |
Your boss is covered under an item that is always inserted in one's JD that says, "And any other job as may be assigned from time to time". I wont say you've done a bad thing by refusing to carry her bag neither will I say you did a good thing judging by the JD item I qouted above. It's a matter of principle. The tendency is always there to refuse such task if you personally won't do such to a surbodinate. I pray you get another job soon but always remember that item. Most bosses and employers hide under it to turn you to an errand boy. It's not entirely without the other positive side though, a test of attitude like someone mentioned earlier. So, if you are unwilling to be your own boss soon, then I'm afraid, you may have to do it next time! |
onyenro:God punish your soul for saying that Awolowo commited suicide. Bloody son of a bitch! |
Dear Nairalanders, I'm pursuing admission to Reutlingen University for International Business in Summer 2015. I received the following statements through their online portal concerning the status of my admission. Please help interprete in English. "Ausschluss vom Vergabeverfahren". "Falls nachfolgend fehlende Unterlagen gelistet sein sollten, entfällt deren Nachreichung, da dies nicht mehr notwendig ist". |
@Futurewise 11, This is a clarion request to you. I read somewhere about your application to Reutlingen University and how difficult their admisson processes are. I've applied to study there in Summer 2015. Kindly tell me what their test and interview process look like. Are practice materials available? If yes, please where can I access them? I'll really appreciate your prompt response. God bless you. |

Dear Nairalanders, I have a project at hand about value proposition on our card expansion to Dubai. Can anybody assist me with number of Nigerians traveling to Dubai daily? or kindly provide locations of where I can get it. Thanks. |
It doesn't matter. For me, we courted for 3 months, got married and have been living together for 5 years now. We have two children together, a boy and a girl. |
We warned you people. You can't give what you don't have. May God punish Obasanjo for foisting him on us. |
Buhari would have helped us fight corruption and anybody that wholeheartedly does this would have solved 99% of Nigeria's problem. Within ourselves, we know Jonathan is eminently incapable of transforming Nigeria. Buhari all the way. |
Don't Know how to make this be in the front page. To the people that won before, pray to win again. To those that didn't win, pray to win this time around. LOL **IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE 2012 DIVERSITY LOTTERY PROGRAM** We regret to inform you that, due to a computer programming problem, the results of the 2012 Diversity Lottery that were previously posted on this website have been voided. They were not valid and were posted in error. The results were not valid because they did not represent a fair, random selection of entrants, as required by U.S. law. If you checked this website during the first week in May and found a notice that you had been selected for further processing or a notice that you had not been selected, that notice has been rescinded and is no longer valid. A new selection process will be conducted based on the original entries for the 2012 program. If you submitted a qualified entry from October 5, 2010 to November 3, 2010, your entry remains with us. It will be included in the new selection lottery. Your confirmation number to check results on this website is still valid. We expect the results of the new selection process to be available on this website on or about July 15, 2011. We regret any inconvenience this might have caused. Click here to view a message from David T. Donahue, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Services: Frequently Asked Questions Q: Why was it necessary to invalidate the names that were selected? * U.S. law requires that Diversity Immigrant visas be made available through a strictly random process. A computer programming error resulted in a selection that was not truly random. * Since the computer programming error caused an outcome that was not random, the outcome did not meet the requirements of the law, and would have been unfair to many DV entrants. Q: Is the 2012 Diversity Visa Program cancelled? * No. The 2012 program will continue. The computer programming error has been identified and corrected. The Department of State will run a new selection using all the qualified entries (ones received between October 5, 2010 and November 3, 2010) it received for the 2012 program. Q: Do I have to submit a new application? * No. You may not submit a new application. We will use all qualified entries received during the October 5 to November 3, 2010 registration period. Q: Will you open a new entry period? * New entries will not be accepted. Q: I checked the Entry Status Check website after May 1 and it said I had been selected. Can I apply for a DV visa? * Unfortunately results previously posted on this website were not valid because the selection process was not fair or random. We will take the entries of all individuals who sent in their registration during the original October 5 to November 3, 2010 time period and run a new lottery. We regret any inconvenience or disappointment this has caused. We expect new results to be available on this website on or about July 15, 2011. Q: How can I check the results of the new selection? * The new results should be available on this website on or about July 15, 2011. The confirmation code you received when you registered is still valid for use on the website. Q: Was the Department of State hacked? Was my personal information at risk? * We have no evidence that this problem was caused by any intentional act. No unauthorized party accessed data related to the DV program. * This appears to be solely the result of a computer programming error. |
I simply implore you to find time to read this piece. A refreshing perspective - Interesting read!!! Please if you write a silly book, don't invite Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to make a presentation. , I guess Olaniwun Ajayi has learnt from this. Sanusi faults Olaniwun Ajayi on Northern domination The Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, surprised guests present at the Muson Centre for the launching of the book of Sir Olaniwun Ajayi at the Muson Centre in Lagos . The book titled: " Nigeria , Africa 's failed asset?" attracted many important dignitaries, intellectuals and some governors. The argument by discussants centered on whether or not the colonial masters laid the foundation for the problems Nigeria is currently facing. Many argued that the British loved the North and that was why it gave more than 50 percent of the National Assembly seats to the North at independence. Sanusi, however, stole the show when he spoke. His speech was anchored on the plank that the British and Nigerian rulers are responsible for the state of the situation Nigeria finds itself today. Below is his unedited speech. "Let me start by saying that I am Fulani (laughter). My grandfather was an Emir and therefore I represent all that has been talked about this afternoon. Sir Ajayi has written a book. And like all Nigerians of his generation, he has written in the language of his generation. "My grandfather was a Northerner, I am a Nigerian. The problem with this country is that in 2009, we speak in the language of 1953. Sir Olaniwun can be forgiven for the way he spoke, but I cannot forgive people of my generation speaking in that language. "Let us go into this issue because there are so many myths that are being bandied around. Before colonialism, there was nothing like Northern Nigeria . Before the Sokoto Jihad, there was nothing like the Sokoto caliphate. The man from Kano regard himself as bakane. The man from Zaria was bazazzage. The man from Katsina was bakatsine. The kingdoms were at war with each other. They were Hausas, they were Muslims, they were killing each other. "The Yoruba were Ijebu, Owo, Ijesha, Akoko, Egba. When did they become one? When did the North become one? You have the Sokoto Caliphate that brought every person from Adamawa to Sokoto and said it is one kingdom. They now said it was a Muslim North. "The Colonialists came, put that together and said it is now called the Northern Nigeria . Do you know what happened? Our grand fathers were able to transform to being Northerners. We have not been able to transform to being Nigerians. The fault is ours. Tell me, how many governors has South West produced after Awolowo that are role models of leadership? How many governors has the East produced like Nnamdi Azikiwe that can be role models of leadership? How Many governors in the Niger Delta are role models of leadership? Tell me. There is no evidence statistically that any part of this country has produced good leaders. You talk about Babangida and the economy. Who were the people in charge of the economy during Babangida era? Olu Falae, Kalu Idika Kalu. What state are they from in the North? "We started the banking reform; the first thing I heard was that in Urobo land, that there will be a curse of the ancestors. I said they (ancestors) would not answer. They said why? I said how many factories did Ibru build in Urobo land? So, why will the ancestors of the Urobo people support her? "We talk ethnicity when it pleases us. It is hypocrisy. You said elections were rigged in 1959, Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu rigged election in 2007. Was it a Southern thing? It was not. "The problem is: everywhere in this country, there is one Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba and Itshekiri man whose concern is how to get his hands on the pile and how much he can steal. Whether it is in the military or in the civilian government, they sit down, they eat together. In fact, the constitution says there must be a minister from every state. "So, anybody that is still preaching that the problem of Nigeria is Yoruba or Hausa or Fulani, he does not love Nigeria . The problem with Nigeria is that a group of people from each and every ethnic tribe is very selfish. The poverty that is found in Maiduguri is even worse than any poverty that you find in any part of the South. The British came for 60 years and Sir Ajayi talked about few numbers of graduates in the North (two at independence) . What he did not say was that there was a documented policy of the British when they came that the Northerner should not be educated. It was documented. It was British colonial policy. I have the document. I have published articles on it. That if you educate the Northerner you will produce progressive Muslim intellectuals of the type we have in Egypt and India. So, do not educate them. It was documented. And you say they love us (North). "I have spent the better part of my life to fight and Dr. (Reuben) Abati knows me. Yes, my grandfather was an Emir. Why was I in the pro-democracy movement fighting for June 12? Is (Moshood) Abiola from Kano ? Why am I a founding director of the Kudirat Initiative for Nigerian Development (KIND)? "There are good Yoruba people, good Igbo people, good Fulani people, good Nigerians and there are bad people everywhere. That is the truth. "Stop talking about dividing Nigeria because we are not the most populous country in the world. We have all the resources that make it easy to make one united great Nigeria . It is better if we are united than to divide it. "Every time you talk about division, when you restructure, do you know what will happen? In Delta Area, the people in Warri will say Agbor, you don't have oil. When was the Niger Delta constructed as a political entity? Ten years ago, the Itshekiris were fighting the Urobos. Isn't that what was happening? Now they have become Niger Delta because they have found oil. After, it will be, if you do not have oil in your village then you cannot share our resources. "There is no country in the world where resources are found in everybody's hamlet. But people have leaders and they said if you have this geography and if we are one state, then we have a responsibility for making sure that the people who belong to this country have a good nature. "So, why don't you talk about; we don't have infrastructure, we don't have education, we don't have health. We are still talking about Fulani. Is it the Fulani cattle rearer or is anybody saying there is no poverty among the Fulani?", he said. This is a great message to our generation. Are we truly ready to develop and unite Nigeria? |

Do you think Jonathan really understands the meaning of "rascal" Forget his PHD. Is he not the husband of "My husband and Namadi Sambo are a good people"?. I'll rather preoccupy myself with how to get BB win this forthcoming elections than worry over Jonathan's vituperations. I must confess that I constantly doubt the authenticity of his certificate. |
Hear what Femi Adesina said about Buhari/Bakare. Our future is in our hands now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Solid integrity, unassailable, unimpeachable. That is what we will get in a Buhari/Bakare presidency. One is ascetic, Spartan, a man of proven honesty who has had many opportunities to steal us blind if he wanted. He was a military governor, a petroleum minister, head of state, chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF). In these positions, he sat on funds running into billions, if not trillions, yet he needed loan from a bank to build himself a house when he left office. He has no house in Abuja today, simply because he cannot afford it. We can trust him with the national treasury, it will be in safe hands. The other is not exactly a poor man. He was a lawyer, businessman, now a full time preacher, and quite comfortable. He preaches righteousness, and lives it (as far as we can vouch). When members of the SNG visited the Jonathan regime in Abuja a couple of months back, they were given $50,000 for transport and welfare. They turned it down. He will not serve in government for what he can get, because he’s already blessed, and righteousness will be his rampart and his rearguard. No doubt, Buhari/Bakare is a team we can trust in terms of rock solid integrity. It can bring the much sought after change in our country" |
Submitted by Tochukwu Ezeoke (not verified) on February 3, 2011 - 13:31. The question is: why do I want Bakare to run as Buhari’s running mate? First, it has to do with Bakare’s eminent qualification for the position. His profile fits that of Buhari like a pair of gloves. As a former Moslem, he would best understand the mindset of a typical ascetic Moslem like Buhari and how best to deal with him. Bakare is extremely bold and well able to speak his mind to powers that be, and that is, to speak the truth as he perceives it—a simple virtue that is in acute shortage in the corridors of power in Nigeria, giving lily-livered sycophants a field day. As a lawyer groomed in the chambers of both the fiery radical, Gani Fawehinmi and the arch conservative Chief Rotimi Williams, both now late, nobody would be able to pool the wool over his eyes. As a pastor, a minister of righteousness, he would not go into public office to amass wealth. In terms of leadership by example, where the president and the vice president are not soiling their hands with corruption, God helps anybody in their administration who would steal public funds. Buhari had proved his mettle from different public office positions that he would not enrich himself from public fund, neither would he be afraid to take bold decisions, including firing or jailing corrupt leaders. If his natural ascetic lifestyle made that unnecessary in his younger days, it would be crazy to think he would do otherwise in his old age. In other words, his character is no longer forming, it is already set and unchangeable. This would be dangerous for those of us in the media since Buhari patently seems to dislike media freedom, but then we would give him the fight of his life on that, trust us. |
I'm hopeful now. I can now register and vote. Buhari is a disciplinarian and Pastor Bakare, an egg head and a man of God. The duo can make something happen not the Jonathan/Sambo of this world. |

Who is pressurizing him? What for? He should be eternally grateful to Atiku for stopping his permanent demystification! |
@Sayso, God bless you for that comment! I'm glad we are in the same boat. Obasanjo used Ribadu to selectively punish his political enemies. He was just a stooge. No more, no less. I'm yet to find who I can entrust my future and that of my children with. Some people have the blueprint of how to govern this country progressively. Definitely, Ribadu is not one of them. |
I'll believe only when I see it on Sahara reporters!! |
Hi All, I just finished OND Electrical Engineering with Upper Credit. I want to secure direct admission into any of the South-Western Universities. Does anybody have an idea about when the form will be out and the process involved? |
