The thinking of Northern political think tank is if by chance Tinubu can't continue as President due to ill health, the Vice President who is a Muslim & a Northerner will take over . The North are very smart |

I read on Nairaland that nobody is talking about Peter Obi in the North. I want those with this notion to understand that Peter Obi might not be popular among the Hausa & Fulani folks but he is very much popular & accepted in the Middle belt - Benue,Kogi,Taraba Plateau, Niger,FCT, Southern Kaduna & among Christians in the Core North. |
samunaka:Among Hausa/Fulani Peter Obi is not popular but He is accepted & a moving force among the Middle belt - From Benue to Plateau,Taraba, Kogi,FCT, Niger, Southern Kaduna etc |

"This is a message for Nigeria. There will be leadership tussle on who will lead and who will be the Presidential candidate in the APC and this will affect APC as a Political Party. "They should be vigilant. Many are not part of them but they are with them. I repeat again. They should be vigilant. Many are not part of them but they are with them. That is, many are with them in flesh but not with them in spirit. They should be vigilant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AnsCpJddf8 |

… Insists North shouldn’t govern after 8 years Indications have emerged that the campaign to return power to the South may be back on track with former President Olusegun Obasanjo leading the charge. This is despite the emergence of a northerner as the presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is the major opposition party, amidst rumours of the ruling All Progressives Alliance (APC) was shopping for a consensus candidate from the North. Blueprint reliably gathered that Obasanjo, who has been openly critical of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, has insisted that the 2023 presidency should be zoned to the South, in the interest of equity and fairness. A source close to the former president told our correspondent that Obasanjo was not pleased with the choice of his former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, as the PDP presidential candidate and was already moving against him. Atiku had fallen out of grace with Obasanjo in the run up to the 2003 general elections for reportedly working against his principle’s second term bid. “After the PDP Special Convention on May 28, 2022, Chief Obasanjo had expressed displeasure over the outcome of the convention which threw up Atiku Abubakar as the party’s flag bearer,” the source, who did not want to be named, told our correspondent. He said Obasanjo vowed to work against his former ally, who he has at different times called unprintable names, insisting he could not be trusted. According to the close associate of the former president, “OBJ had urged Peter Obi, who is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), to work with the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, who was Atiku’s closest rival at the primary election. “The governor was betrayed by some of his fellow governors and close ally despite his huge contributions to the party and these individuals. So he is unhappy with the party and the outcome of the primary election.” Speaking further, he said Obasanjo had met with the former Governor of Cross River state, Donald Duke, to discuss his commitment to move power back to the South and had mandated him to reach out to Governor Wike and other aggrieved members of the PDP, as well as to rally his own people especially from the South. “The former governor is to persuade Wike is to support Obi’s campaign and lend underground support and possibly finance him because he is aggrieved. “OBJ said all hands must be on deck to make power return to the South, arguing that Nigeria should not be governed by the North after eight years.” The source further stated that, “Duke, who described the outcome of the PDP convention as an impulsive decision to embarrass Wike and the South, pledged to implement the former president’s command. “According to him, it will be counter-productive to the South-south and South-east and set them back if they are schemed out hence they needed to come out and form and a formidable opposition against the North.” Obasanjo, who is out of the country, is scheduled to meet with Duke, Wike, Obi, and other strategic members of the team when he returned, the source added. https://www.blueprint.ng/southern-presidency-obj-backs-obi-woos-wike-others/

Excerpt from Tinubu's presentation: "When I was in d ........., I was involved in the Chinese market. But what we ask them to do then is to separate the market from the citizens. Because they don't issue the C of O to citizens, Which is not right" Stand to be corrected. Can anyone interpret or explain what he meant from the statement above? His statements & presentations are quite disjointed but the above line was the height of it. |
Ndibuna:The last time i checked, The Nigeria Constitution & Inec guidelines do not reward those that "did very well" in presidential primaries. You're not different from someone like Fayose that has no vote. You all lost to Atiku. History will record it that Wike & others contested & lose handsomely to Atiku. Whether you did very well or not is immaterial. Anyway, you can console yourself with "Wike did very well" narrative |

"Gowon should have allowed the Igbos to go if they are to be treated as second class citizens. If zoning which will heal the wounds is not done, there will be no Nigeria. Nobody will remain in this country as a second class citizen." Leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Chief Edwin Clark, has stated that former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, should have allowed the Igbo to secede at the outset of the civil war in 1966. Clark said this during an interview on Arise TV, where he condemned the unfair treatment handed to the South-East by concentrating power in the northern region. He stressed the need for the region to be treated with a sense of belonging and called for political parties, especially the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party, to zone their presidential tickets to a candidate from the South-East. “My idea of zoning the Presidency to the South-East is well-known. No Nigerian will like to live in a country where certain people believe that they have the only right to lead. The APC believes the 12 million votes by President Muhammadu Buhari might be eroded if it is zoned to the South. The PDP is also considering zoning to the North. This is unfair. “Nigeria stood on three legs, and it has never been steady since one of the legs was destroyed during the Civil War. I unpacked all these facts in my forthcoming memoir ‘Brutally Frank’,” Clark stated. He added that there was no moral justification for keeping people who are not being treated fairly, stressing that the region must be treated with a sense of belonging. Clark noted that it was unacceptable for a region to have a domineering spirit because of its population adding that those opposed to a South-East presidency in 2023 were ready to see the end of Nigeria. "Gowon should have allowed the Igbos to go if they are to be treated as second class citizens. If zoning which will heal the wounds is not done, there will be no Nigeria. Nobody will remain in this country as a second class citizen. “The North believes their population can be used to oppress other Nigerians. This is not acceptable. The era of that has gone. There are many good Northerners but the Fulani-oriented ones want to dominate everywhere.” https://punchng.com/gowon-shouldve-allowed-igbo-leave-clark/?amp |
CALIPHATE’S URGENT RUSH TO PIPE AWAY THE VAST GAS DEPOSITS OF EASTERN NIGERIA WHILE LOCKING DOWN THE EAST TO ROT IN THE RUINS OF THE 1967-1970 WAR- Tony Nnadi, March 28, 2022. As the Global hype about the diminishing importance of hydrocarbons continues and as the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria continues to reel in the pain and devastation of over six decades of Nigeria’s Oil Exploration and Exploitation, the attention of the Caliphate Proprietors of Unitary Nigeria is rapidly shifting to the Vast Gas Deposits of Eastern Nigeria, particularly Igboland. It is well known that there are huge Gas Deposits in Eastern Nigeria but the Unitary Nigeria and it’s Caliphate Proprietors, masquerading as “the Federal Government of Nigeria” have by the Instrumentality of the Exclusive List in the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria hijacked and confiscated the ownership and control of the Vast Gas Deposits just as it did Oil, Coal, Bitumen, Limestone and a long list of other Solid Minerals spread across the South and Middle-Belt of Nigeria. It is obvious these Vast Gas Deposits of Eastern Nigeria have become the most urgent Priority in the Elaborate Asset Stripping Scheme of the Caliphate. Operating as “the Federal Government of Nigeria” this Caliphate had of recent regaled us with tales of how they will expand Nigeria’s Economic Base with Gas Exports to Europe, suppressing the fact that the Gas Pipelines will first land gas to Kano Industrial Hub before continuing in pipes to Europe through North Africa, but the many Industrial Hubs of the Eastern from which the Gas will flow, will be bypassed for the utilization of the Gas. Many are aware of 1300 km Pipeline Project currently being rushed by the Nigerian Government to to export Gas to Europe. (That was the Project from which China pulled back from a $1Billion Loan Agreement following a Global Caveat by NINAS even as Caliphate-Run NNPC had hurriedly deployed their Counterpart Funding to the Project commencing Construction and Laying of Pipes). The Dangote Refineries and Fertilizer Plant in which the Caliphate “Federal Government” plunged over $2Billion from Nigeria’s Treasury is anchored upon the confiscated Oil & Gas Assets of the Niger-Delta and the Yoruba (Ondo), all a part of the Elaborate Asset Stripping Scheme of the Caliphate. The 1999 Constitution which EXCLUSIVELY empowers the Caliphate Operating as “the Federal Government of Nigeria” is the only reason all these are going on and unless we find a way to Take down that 1999 Constitution, not only will the Caliphate succeed in carting away the Gas, they would intensify their extermination plan against the Peoples Eastern Nigeria. The Russia-Ukraine War has suddenly escalated the urgency of that Project as the West scouts for alternatives to Russian Oil & Gas. This exponentially increases the danger Igboland and the rest of the East is in. Everything else our People are doing outside the Joint Multi-Regional Constitutional Force Majeure that NINAS rolled out to oust the 1999 Constitution and the Unitary Nigeria built on it is simply tantamount to Self-Immolation and a waste of time. It is a Tragedy that People caught in this kind of existential threat are still monkeying around with some phantom “Biafra Restoration” and hallucinating about some phantom “Igbo Presidency”, wobbling rambunctiously to the 2023 Elections that will renew and reinforce that Constitution since it will be Mandated by the 1999 Constitution, and especially because the winner of the Election will have to Swear to and Govern by that Obnoxious Constitution. https://www.facebook.com/618603708275794/posts/2490767934392686/ Here is the link to the story on the Pipeline. https://www.icrc.gov.ng/nnpc-boosts-1300km-pipeline-project-for-gas-delivery-to-europe/ |
