The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic  Party, PDP has mocked Gov. Rotimi Amaechi for losing his bid to grab the Vice Presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

 

The PDP says it is excited that Amaechi has been confirmed as a serial loser who lacks the capacity to win any competitive contest and can only excel in incivility and loose tongues.

 

Most disturbing, according to the party, is the billions of tax payers’ money Amaechi spent in lobbying for the APC VP ticket at the expense of infrastructural development, provision of portable drinking water in the State and payment of salaries and allowances of civil servants and pensioners.

The party accused Amaechi of planning to empty the State treasury and debit the incoming administration with huge debts which will take the tenure of his successor to upset.

“One of such plans is the recent directive by Governor Rotimi Amaechi to the Chairmen of the 23 Local Government Areas, whose tenure in office has elapsed to access bank loans to the tune of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200, 000,000.00).

“The loan would be used to fund this year’s cultural Festival, here referred to as ‘CANIRIV’ and as Christmas package and freebies for members of the All Progressives Congress in the various LGAs and fun APC campaigns.”

The PDP condemns further condemned what it describes as criminal and unpatriotic of the governor and all those aiding him to commit such financial fraud on Rivers People, stressing that Amaechi has consistently squandered public funds on personal political ambition, sponsoring APC events and his failed Vice Presidential aspiration.

“It has also been established that the Rivers State Governor is today a leading financier of Gen Buhari’s Presidential campaign, as billions of Rivers money were used in organizing Buhari’s campaign tours and travels as well as major events of the APC in and outside the State, including the protest march in Abuja and the National Convention in Lagos.

“Considering the economic and social implications these reckless and fraudulent financial activities of Governor Amaechi portend on the State and people after the life of this administration, the PDP believes it is time to act rather than remaining mute over an avoidable calamitous situation in the State.

“It is in the light of this that the PDP urges all anti graft agencies to urgently save Rivers State and the people from impending collapse in 2015, after Governor Amaechi has left office.”

The party warned all financial institutions, including banks not to honour any further applications for loans or borrowing arrangement by the Rivers State government under Amaechi or any of its agencies, as such financial transactions will not be respected by the incoming government in the State.

"The matter has largely come under control now. The operation is now complete on the students side, and has moved to the administration block of the school," he said.
"There are no negotiations ongoing at the moment, there is a security forces operation ongoing.
"They have been cleared from the junior section. The explosion occurred in the senior section where there was a [school] function ongoing."

Prophet Joshua Iginla Abuja,was reported to have released more shocking revelations during Sunday service at his church.
He told the congregation while praying that the September, the 12th Synagogue building collapse will soon repeat, itself, especially to key people in the ministry who are making mockery of T.B. Joshua, instead of offering him support in this hard time.

The Christendom in Nigeria is in a state of tatters, with all manner of hypocrisy, bad and very ugly stories emanating from the religious circle.; Nigerian Christian and Islamic leaders must accept the responsibility to reshape the direction of the country. It is because they live very far from the people that they do not feel for the poor. How many of the privileged pastors live in Ajegunle, Orile-Iganmu, Nyanya, Mararaba. No! They stay in high brow areas with security, palatial homes with modern gadgets for comfort, a drive round town in multi million jeep cars while the members of their flock are sick, distressed, harassed, go hungry and lack nutrition. Except TB Joshua we see feeding the poor, giving scholarships, and live in Ikotun, a suburb of Lagos State and known as one of the poor areas in Lagos. Of course, all fingers are not equal, surely there handful of good people out the that help the poor in the little way they can.
The religious leaders cannot always push the blame to government when they hide in their cocoon to commit all manner of atrocities. If only 30 men of God in Nigeria would behave like TB Joshua, one representing each state in Nigeria.

People have already sent out messages claiming that the popular Nigerian singer has been confirmed dead.
