To be educated up to school certificate level is a necessary condition for anyone who aspires to be Nigeria’s president.

An eminent scholar, Professor Dupe Olatubosun, has advised the
presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari to “honourably withdraw” from the race to pave way for “a qualified person” from the party.

Professor Olatubosun threatened to approach the court to seek Buhari’s disqualification, should the Katsina-born politician “fail to follow the path of honour.”

The scholar spoke in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, anchoring his position on what he called the non-qualification of Buhari to stand for the election because he failed to tender his secondary school certificate of education as required by laws.

“Nigeria cannot afford to take such a very serious gamble of allowing a primary school certificate holder to lead the nation in 2015. It is
unthinkable and absolutely unacceptable.

“To be educated up to school certificate level is a necessary condition for General Buhari or anyone who aspires to be Nigeria’s president.

“If Buhari cannot present his secondary school certificate, all he needs to do is to go to the secondary school he attended and obtain a certified true copy of his result from the school record, if he ever attended any secondary school.

“If General Buhari cannot provide evidence that he is qualified to contest the election as prescribed by the combined effects of Sections 131 and 137 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, then ,he is not qualified to contest,” Olatubosun said.

On Pastor Tunde Bakare’s call for a transitional government, the retired professor said such call was borne out of selfishness and a ploy to reward those who have “unleashed the dogs of war” in some parts of the country with membership of a coalition government.

“They cannot get through the back door what they cannot obtain
legitimately through the front door. A coalition of PDP and APC in
government can never work satisfactorily in the interest of Nigerians,” he said.

The don described as untrue, claims that a tempest was gathering that would necessitate the need to avoid a shipwreck in the country, adding that the insurgency in the North-East was being orchestrated by “those who believe the nation’s leadership is their birthright.”

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu, has said that all those who are accusing President Goodluck Jonathan of corruption are the fathers of corruption.

The Oba was speaking in his palace when President Goodluck Jonathan led a delegation of PDP officials to receive his blessings just before the flag-off of the presidential campaign in Lagos State. Oba Akiolu raised issues of corruption with a mention of the Harliburton scandal and the killing of former Attorney-General, Chief Bola Ige but prayed that in the end only the best candidate would emerge in the 2015 general elections.

In his speech, President Goodluck Jonathan thanked the Oba for supporting his administration. He described Lagos as the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria that should be of importance to any well meaning politician and which needs the right persons to govern..

President Jonathan said that his administration has much to show in the area of transportation, agriculture, road construction and wondered why anyone would say that his administration had not performed.

He also wondered why anyone would say he was not fighting corruption, claiming that statistics would soon debunk the lies being told by his critics. He promised to do more when voted into power.

The Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu, also assured the traditional ruler that the PDP means well for the country and that was why there has been tremendous development and progress going on in the country. The traditional ruler said that he had prayed for the country and gave an assurance that he would continue to pray for a peaceful conduct of the elections and continuous peace beyond the election.

Of course we may still be an amnesiac nation, but this is a national culture of memory loss that I am unwilling to be plagued by. Thus, I am not willing, to concede that in the entirety of things, Obasanjo’s government was better than the current; a bid that I am sure, dangerously renders and even imbues in Obasanjo a somewhat angelic (or even divine) excellence that Jonathan does not supposedly exhibit. I am unwilling to concede this assertion provided that the facts and the figures argue for Obasanjo.

Obasanjo came to power in 1999, and brought with him a Vice President whose proclivity for corruption Nigeria had never seen, at least in a person who occupied that office, past and present. Little wonder that Obasanjo’s choice of a VP was described by one of the famous northern emirs in the vilest of terms: an unmitigated disaster.

Talk about treasonable felonies and you get the following from Obasanjo: the genocides of Zaki Biam and Odi; Third Term Agenda; the electoral heists of 2003 and 2007, with 2007 being the worst, perhaps in the history of ballot politicking. There was the slaying of the nation’s agro sector in terms of budget allocation, such that the Ministry of Agriculture took a seat behind the Ministry of Women Affairs. This is not to mention the non payment of civil servant’s salaries, but where it was paid; a typical federal government establishment that had over a thousand or more employees got only an atrocious paltry sum as annual CAPEX.

Of course Jonathan’s greatest undoing is his government’s passivity towards the insurgency in the north, but a cursory study of the chronicles of Boko Haram show that the sect developed not only its shoots but also grew to full bloom under Obasanjo’s administration. Thus, while Jonathan is to blame for docility over Boko Haram, Obasanjo should be blamed for allowing all the necessary conditions for its breeding.

But Obasanjo’s greatest crimes were his endless financial frauds. Take out Siemens, Halliburton, etc, which spawned under his VPs’ watch, you’ll still be left with a myriad of others such as National ID card fraud, the missing 16–20 billion US dollars in power “reforms”, the contravention of section 147 of the Nigerian Constitution by illegitimately appointing himself Minister of Petroleum Resources, shrouding the activities of the lush industry in secrecy, and without rendering proper accounts of oil revenue to relevant agencies. Throughout Obasanjo’s horrid eight years in power, neither the Federal Executive Council nor the National Assembly was ever presented a budget of the oil industry.

What’s more? According to some reports, Nigeria lost over 130 billion US dollars of unaccounted revenue between 2000 and 2006, under Obasanjo. More so, more than 700 million dollars of oil revenue was misappropriated to enrich Obasanjo and his ruling PDP. In the case of the Kaduna refinery, Obasanjo spent over 200 million US dollars to “repair” it and then auctioned it at a paltry 106 million US dollars. Obasanjo was also said to have withdrawn 1 trillion naira from NNPC account as contained in a December 10, 2007 petition to the EFCC filed by the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP).

Other references made by the CNPP were the many protests by then Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hamman Tukur, on the spate of illegal withdrawals by the Obasanjo administration leading the RMAFC to sue the Obasanjo government over these withdrawals. Obasanjo was also said to have withdrawn 100 million dollars from the Federation Account illegally to cover the obligations of the Investors International Limited (IIL) of London to First Bank Plc. The company which is believed to be owned by some Obasanjo cronies borrowed the sum of 100 million US dollars to enable it make up its 10 percent down payment for the price of NITEL. However this loan to IIL was illegal as it contravened the Bank and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) of 1991. The Act declares that a bank cannot give a loan to a single client in excess of 35 percent of the value of its shareholders fund.

These are just a few of the many sins of Obasanjo.

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen, Muhammadu Buhari, will soon receive some millions of dollars in funding from Arab billionaires who had assisted in funding his 2003, 2007 and 2011 campaigns.

It was gathered that former Oil Minister from Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Zaki Yamani, and some other Arab billionaires used a secret funding route to channel millions of dollars to Buhari’s campaign.

Information pieced together further revealed that the funds doled out between 2003 and 2011, helped build a vast network of think tanks,  supporters and groups working for a single purpose: To make Buhari President of Nigeria. 

It was also revealed that over the past decade some anonymous donors gave several hundreds of thousands in foreign currencies to bankroll the presidential bid of Gen. Buhari which flowed to the campaign through his trusted loyalist, who is embedded in the party.

A source in the know told our correspondent on condition of anonymity that the entire donation was done with a guarantee of complete secrecy for the donors who wish to remain hidden.

This was just as the former Saudi Arabia Minister for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and another powerful Saudis were behind mobilisation of the funds with the intention to bankroll a movement to install an Islamic leader as head of government in Africa’s largest economy.

According to Professor Roberts, of the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, the donor’s main objective is the ascent of political Islam, which has been a crucial factor in the swelling and deepening ‘Islamisation’ of many Arab and non-Arab societies within the past three decades. From Casablanca, Algiers, Adamawa, Cairo, Kano, Kebbi, Khartoum, Damascus, Baghdad, Istanbul, Tehran, Jakarta, to Islamabad, the donors have provided huge funds to execute the agenda, typically moving from preaching and proselytizing to building mosques, schools and economic infrastructure, in many cases crisscrossing different countries.

“The swelling of political Islam cascaded over how vast segments of the northern youths in Nigerian societies identified themselves – not abruptly moving from the traditional national distinctiveness to broader Islamic identities, but merging the national with the Islamic.

“The characterizations neither conformed to a specific set of values nor converged round a unique and distinct body of morals,” he said.

According to him, “the overarching objective of almost all donor political Islamic groups is not only to attain parliamentary majorities or control presidencies, but to gradually Islamise their states – and their societies.”

Yamani became a close friend of Buhari in 1977 when the former leader was Federal Commissioner (position now called minister) for Petroleum and Natural Resources. 

Contrary to the make belief that Buhari is poor, more questions have been raised on how he was able to raise the financial chest to fund three presidential campaigns within a decade.

In 2011 when the merger between Congress for Progressive Change, CPC and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN broke down, it was believed that initial funds from the Arab donors ensured that Buhari continued to run his campaign in Northern Nigeria with ease, despite his perceived austere posture.

As a political analyst based in Abuja, Malik Ibrahim puts it: “The funding of the Buhari campaign is becoming increasingly invisible to public scrutiny but constantly growing. The Buhari campaign team is increasingly getting money from sources that are anonymous or untraceable. There is no transparency, no accountability for the money. There is no way to tell who is funding them.”

In July 1982, Yamani founded Investcorp, private equity firm, with several other oil ministers and well-known financiers. The firm’s initial investments included Tiffany & Co, Breguet, a Swiss watch maker, Yamani, himself known to be a watch lover.

Muslim council in South-West has debunked insinuations that Yoruba Muslims are to vote for Buhari, describing such reports as “pure lie.”
The Secretary-General of the Muslim council, Mallam Hakeem Adelani, told Sunday Tribune that “Yoruba Muslims are very objective people who do not vote on religious sentiments.
"We are not goats or rams that you just march and sell in political market.
“Why should we vote Buhari? Why should we vote for Jonathan? What have both men done for Yoruba people? For us, we have seen Lagos –Ibadan express road.

If the man can complete that road alone, he has our support.
“Jonathan has done for Yoruba, what our son, Olusegun Obasanjo, failed to do for us. Our main airport in Ibadan is having a new look. Many power plants are in Yorubaland. Our railway is working. Jonathan has done well for the Yoruba,” he said.

Respected Islamic cleric and Sultan of Sokoto Dr. Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar III has said that the present insecurity and other associated challenges tearing the northern region apart were caused by the region itself.
The traditional ruler said this while speaking in Kaduna at a meeting of the Northern Governors Peace and Reconciliation Committee. He noted that the problem of the north will remain the problem of the entire country, since the north could not be left with its problems alone.
The Sultan, who doubles as the president, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and president-general of the Jamatul Nasril Islam (JNI), disclosed that peace talk was the best way to resolve violence or conflicts.

He said that though traditional and religious leaders had played their own part, they should not relent on their effort until the challenges are brought under control.
The monarch, however, lamented it was so sad that the government was yet to address the issue of security challenges in the nation.


He said: “Let us sit and talk freely and articulate positions that will bring us out of the quagmire we put ourselves in, ” he said. “It is important that the religious and traditional rulers from our various states sit together so that each and every one of us will talk freely…”

The Sultan added that: “Whatever that is happening in the north is our own doing, because we did not do what we were supposed to do. And since we know that, we have to solve our problems ourselves. So, I think, it is not a bad idea that the committee was set up.

“We wrote a memo of about nine pages or thereabouts covering various issues affecting the country and the north in particular to the then acting president and now president Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan… it was at the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) where we suggested solutions to the problems.

“Northern Council of Traditional Rulers met and also articulated solutions to problems of the north to the northern governors, but we don’t know what happened to the recommendations at the various authorities.

“If our recommendations had been implemented, we would have been singing a different tune in handling the challenges.”

On the issue of trying to Islamize the country as insinuated in some quarters, the Sultan affirmed that it was impossible for anybody to Islamize or Christianize the country. “If anybody thinks he can Islamize or Christianize the country, he must be dreaming,” he stated, adding that politicians must have the fear of God in whatever they do: “If they want to solve the problem of this country they will, because they have the resources to do so.

“There is little religious leaders can do without the support of the constitutional right to do certain things, but we must always watch our utterances and in making comments you cannot substantiate.”

In his own remarks, John Cardinal Onaiyekan attributed the security challenges facing the north and the country in general to the high level of poverty in the country and the region in particular.

The meeting of the Northern Governors Peace and Reconciliation Committee was attended by the Sultan as well as the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

As Nigerians prepare for 2015 general elections, the Igbo apex ruling body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said yesterday that the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has no Igbo agenda, vowing 90 percent of Igbo would vote for President Goodluck Jonathan

Anambra State chairman of the body, Elder Chris Eluemuno said in Awka, “If you look at APC manifesto, you find out that Igbo man has no place in it. Buhari is not a friend of the Igbos”.
He added that when the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari was the military head of state, he executed a teenage Ibo boy for allegedly smoking Indian hemp at Enugu.
“He also detained Dr. Alex Ekwueme, first vice president of Nigeria in the maximum prison for carrying coal while ex-president Shehu Shagari was under house arrest then”, he continued.

On President Jonathan, he said that aside his achievements, Jonathan and his family have Igbo blood.
He said, “Jonathan and his family are our blood, they have Igbo connection and heritage”.

And second thing, I could not see any woman’s name in Koran: the Prophet Muhammad’s mother’s name, or wife’s name, no, in the Koran, there is only one woman’s name that i found is Mariam, the mother of Jesus no other woman’s name. And in the holy Koran chapter 3, the name of the chapter is family of Mariam,’’ and holy Koran chapter 19, the name of the chapter itself is ‘’MARIAM’’ one chapter is ‘’MARIAM’’ so I was very curious to know why does Koran says all these things about MARIAM, holy Koran chapter 3 verse 34 onwards says that Mary was born without original sin, she never committed any sin in her life, she was ever virgin.

Koran chapter 50 verses 23 say that she went to heaven with her physical body. Even the assumption is writing in the holy Koran and then about Jesus, when I read chapter 3 verses 45 to 55 verses, there is 10 point which the Koran makes about Jesus. The first thing Koran says (kallimatulli) the arabic word which means ‘’the of God’’ and second thing is ( ahimokuli ) which mean spirit of God and the third (isa masi) which means Jesus Christ so Koran give the name for Jesus WORD OF GOD, SPIRIT OF GOD, JESUS CHRIST. And then Koran says that Jesus spoke when he was very small, like 2 days old. after his birth he began to speak , Koran says that Jesus created a live bird with mud. He took some mud, he formed a bird; when breathed into it, it became a live bird. So I think Jesus can give life because he gave life to mud, clay, and then Koran says that Jesus cured a man born blind and a man with leprosy, e.t.c

Curiously, the Koran says that Jesus gave life to dead people; Jesus went to heaven; he is still alive and he will come again. When I saw all these things in the Koran I taught of what Koran says about Muhammad, according to the Koran, prophet Muhammad is not the word of God, not spirit of God he never spoke when he was 2 days old, he never created any bird with mud, he never cure any sick people, he never raised any dead people, he himself died, and according to Islam he is not alive and he will not come back. So there is a lot of different between these two prophets. I didn’t call Jesus, God, you know my idea was ‘’He is a prophet but he is a prophet greater than Muhammad; so one day I went to my teacher, the one who taught me 10 years in Arabic college, and I ask him, teacher, how did God created the universe? Then he said God created the universe through the word,’’ THROUGH THE WORD. Then my question is: ‘’WORD’’ is creator or creation? He must clear this, my question is whether the WORD of God is creator or creation. Koran says Jesus is WORD of God. If my teacher says word of God is creator, which means Jesus is the creator, then muslim must become Christian suppose if he says the word is creation he will be trapped. You know why? He said everything was created through the word. Suppose if he said the word is creation, then how did God created the word? So he cannot say that the word is creator, or creation, so he was quite angry he push me out of his room and said word is not God, not creator or the creation you get out of here, ‘’he said



The reason why Muslim doesn’t accept to be Christian is because they are blinded with the wrong teaching of their priest, Imam. They said that the word is creation they try to prove it wrongly…… they say the word is not creator, not the creation, but not God. And no creation also. They don’t equal with God, that all their problem. So when he said that I told my teacher, word is not the creator or the creation.’’ So, that is why Christian says the word is son of God. Then he told me if there is son for God, I must show him the wife of God. That without wife no chance of having a son then I showed him a portion from the Koran. Koran says that God can see without eyes, God can talk without tongue, God can hear without ears. It is writing in the Koran. I said if that is the case, so God can have a child without a wife. I took my Koran, I put it on my chest, and I said ‘’Allah’’, tell me what I should do because your Koran says Jesus is still alive, and Mohammad is no more. Tell me whom should I accept.’’ after my prayer I opened the Koran, I didn’t asked anyone, I asked only my Allah. When I opened Koran, I saw chapter 10 verses 94. You know what Koran says? It says if you have any doubt in this Koran which I give to you, go and read the Bible, or ask the people, those who read the Bible. The truth is already revealing that.
I beg all muslim to give their life to Christ because he is the only way to the kingdom of God. Please don’t perish like other muslims that is serving the god they do not know. I welcome you into Christ Jesus as you change your mind to accept him today. God bless you.

Lord have Mercy! I wonder the kind of evil spirit that is behind this so called religion of peace. gusssss. A must watch for every Christian in Nigeria who are blindfolded to believe that we're serving the same God.
