You should all calm down. It's just 2months that we went for interview and you keep complaining that the list should be release.

This is almighty NNPC for crying out loud, they need to consider many factors before they can release any list. Just be hopeful and keep doing what will add value to your life.

I applied to my formal school in 2017 and they called selected few applicants in 2019 for interview (2 years after). Up till now no update of whatsoever. That doesn't mean people have entered through backdoor.


Be hopeful and divert your energy to something productive till the time apl will drop.

I agree 2 months after is not out of range considering the number of pple to be employed and being its gov't owned.

However, for those persons who can't wait any further, do feel free to enquire about the status of your application. its within your right to do so.

To the guys saying wait and it will come out whenever it comes out, it’s unfortunate.
Nobody should compare this recruitment to the last. Everyone knows how Nnpc has followed this process up from inception till now. It has been fast and transparent. If all of a sudden it starts becoming so slow and shady, we should demand an explanation.
If Nnpc can public display their activities, I had seen one on their official Twitter handle or so. The recruitment should not be different.
What do you guys think?

For as many that are bothered, that's the way to go. Not Aggression but demanding status update in a calm and calculated manner.

I guess we as citizens are very docile, that's why we don't get what we want.

Even for private companies, once its upto 2 weeks i interviewed with them, i send mails and follow up calls for feed back and they respond.

we can do more rather than be a sitting duck till whenever they choose to do so. At least a feedback on why the delay becos there could be logical reasons why it is so.

Thanks be to God, i will be resuming a new job in October. Focus on other things that matters

For those of us who will not bribe our way into NNPC what is the solution?

Our minister of state petroleum is a public servant while u and I that will be hired to work in NNPC will be civil servants.

Don't mind them, this whole thing started when @sempumping wanted me to use 'Public Servant' in place of the 'Civil Servant' I used while referring to the nnpc staff.
But the problem with nairaland sometimes, is that people just jump into arguments they know nothing about.

Sempunping was wrong in calling NNPC staff public servant.
RoboCop was correct using Civil servant.

However, the search showed by RoboCop intended to say the both are same which is slightly wrong.

I mean NNPC staff as used as RoboCop are civil servants and not public servant.

I have tried to keep silent on sources. However, there are strong indications there will be a reduction in the salaries of the new intakes.

News getting to me now states if APL doesn't come today or probably tomorrow, it's due to outstanding TF payments. Everyone has to be paid before the letter comes out. If everyone is paid today, we get it tomorrow.

If everyone is paid by tomorrow, then it's Wednesday. Payments are being disbursed quickly, so it should all be sorted by end of today or tomorrow hopefully. All in All its coming out this very week.

The only thing that matters to many of us here is getting the APL. The day its comes is secondary. So if it doesn't come today or tomorrow as easymoneysniper has predicted we are still good. what will be bad is for it to come and one is not a partaker.

Meanwhile being pessimistic about the day it will come is also speculative as easymoneysniper. The only reason pple are towing towards the later is because we all want this wait to end quickly but most importantly is that we receive the APL.

There is always a proper/official way of resigning ur appointment in any organization. Simply refer to your employee handbook, if u Dnt have one, then speak with ur HR to advice u.

However, employment is free exit. No organization has the right to hold u down if u are tired of working, u can stop work at anytime.
but offcourse with some penalties to pay. If u Dnt give 1month notice in some companies like mine, u will refund one month salary. Meanwhile if u do give them, u r good to go.
Meanwhile depending on ur organization ur unpaid leave days may be used to reduce ur liability to the org.

First the recruitment expenses in its entirety is already included in NNPC budget. Therefore all expenses incidental to the process are well known and budgeted for.

And by the way recruitment expenses is an extraordinary expenses and should be indicated in the notes to the account...

Secondly what is the proportion of TF in the recruitment expenses

Let's assume:
9,000 went for the interview
And nnpc is paying 20k flat rate
That is 9,000×20,000= 180,000,000

Am sure even a billion Naira shouldn't be much of a problem
Cos after all this an organisations that deals in hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars daily

I doubt that's significant enough as to warrant nnpc to employ such cost control measures..

And finally assuming what u say is true
Your assertions still does not explain why NNPC payment is done at random.... cos someone we left the tower with and wrote our names on thesame sheet received TF and I haven't
