Christianity EtcRe: Akudaya:myth Or Reality? by kevoh(m): 3:30pm On Aug 19, 2014
Empiree: Nope, he was stunned and curious to know what it is. I am surprised you Africans dont even know Jinns exist. Woow, Islam is way ahead. Instead of you jesting on NL over this, if i were you, i would start research on them rather than making unnecessary fun here. I wont talk about this anymore.
Wa Da fuq? angry Why would I want to waste my energy, time and resource on some s.illy Arabic mythology like the Jin? Oh please don't talk about it anymore, you sound ridiculous when talking about it! tongue
Christianity EtcRe: Akudaya:myth Or Reality? by kevoh(m): 3:00pm On Aug 19, 2014
frankben: I've heard numerous stories about this akudaya but i will share 1 that really shocked me.

A young man who happened to be the only son of his parents died miserably. Though i wasn't told where he died or how he died. He was the heir to the fathers wealth as the only son.

The man was said to have established a business booming with lots of customers in lagos(why always lagos?).... He also got married but not legally to a pretty young lady there and they had kids...

When the young man sensed his time of existence as partial human was coming to an end, he talked to his wife about seeing his parents (i still ask myself, why now?). The wife agreed. They were few distant away from home before the man came up with excuse.... He told his wife he needed to get some items from the market. He gave the wife direction on how she'd be able to locate their main house. The wife with the kids kept going. On reaching the house, the mother of the man saw them and asked if they were looking for some one. The lady described whom they were looking for and coincidentally, she was speaking to the mother in-law.... The lady told her that she's the wife of her son... The old woman, amazed by what she heard couldn't believe it.... She took the lady to the place where the man was buried and told her that he died a long time ago.... The lady was skeptical and decided to call her husband on phone but it wasn't through.... That was how the man disappeared into thin air till today.

The question i still ask myself is - Are the kids half man-half spirit?
Which woman gets married in Africa (Nigeria) without getting to know the parents of his/her spouse? No marriage introduction ceremony! Nothing! This part has been stylishly dodged in the story to make it sound credible.

Previous versions that I heard did not have the phone part, probably that was before the arrival of GSM to Nigeria. Very soon they will add skyping, pinging e.t.c to the story.

Empiree: No wonder I talked to a White guy about it in 2006. He was just looking like dummy. He doesnt understand what Jinn is all about.
White guy was probably laughing within him on how funny and ridiculous the jinn story sounds but kept silent about it out of respect for your religion.

PhonesRe: Charge Your Phone By Shouting At It by kevoh(m): 10:48am On Aug 19, 2014
ogaju007: If you knew this much, why didn't you put it to use? no point trying to sound smart..... just appreciate and see opportunities.
What are you talking about? What opportunities are there to appreciate in people thinking that a very good invention(especially for third world countries) is actually made for giving headaches. There many ways of generating noise for phone charging without giving headaches, if only people read and understood the article very well without jumping on the sensational title itself.

You probably didn't understand my post and its intention before quoting me.
PhonesRe: Charge Your Phone By Shouting At It by kevoh(m): 10:03am On Aug 19, 2014
heefeholuwah: if you read the article meticulously, you woulda see that the whole concept is to create a mechanical stress on the zinc oxide that can cause some sort of vibration...which in turn brings about some volts of electricity...the stress might not neccesarily come from you..I'm sure an evolved mind would have seen more to this article than ''SHOUTING''
My brother I tire oo. The comments from the thread are really disappointing and shameful. I'm sure 94% did not bother reading the article before they commented.

Reading comments like ''How many battery bars on your phone equates to the level of headache you get'' or ''so we should die shouting all because we want to charge our phones? '' make me wonder how silly some Nlders(Nigerians) can be. How hard is it to read and understand a simple article of a few hundred words?

collitexnaira: Doing this will put innocent customers at risk of contacting the deadly disease, because I don't think they will change that gloves until the end of each business day
Then the innocent customer should get himself a pair of gloves too!
Protection from ebola is a prerogative of everyone. The banker(teller) is only there to attend to your banking/financial transactions not health issues.

parrotibaba: gbam!!!! d likes of Lobo n living tribunal will beat d whole of d "heroes" characters without batting an eye lid
Exactly. We're talking Living Tribunal: Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence they are talking Peter Petrelli that will be worshipping Living tribunal like a God.
TV/MoviesRe: Top 10 Most Powerful Super Heroes. by kevoh(m): 12:38am On Aug 10, 2014
I still repeat Peter Petrelli is like an ant compared to some of these Supes who are almost demi-gods. Dr.Manhanttan is a demi-god,Peter can't even mimic his powers he will just explode. Dr.Manhattan perceives the past, present and the future no need for stopping any yeye time like they do in heroes.

Dude can manipulate atomic and subatomic particles meaning he can make Peter disintegrate into thin air in the blink of an eye.He can create life, walk on the Sun yeah Peter should have fun mimicking walking on the Sun. tongue

It's an insult mentioning Peter Petrelli in front of these other demi-gods/superheroes. Haba! It's like some people started knowing about superheroes with the advent of the 'Heroes' series that's why they cry Peter up and down.
TV/MoviesRe: Top 10 Most Powerful Super Heroes. by kevoh(m): 9:45pm On Aug 09, 2014
Dr. Manhattan is actually the strongest. All these Batman(secret keeper), Peter Petrelli bla bla is nothing. All Manhattan needs to do is wish Batman/Peter never existed and watch Batman/Peter vaporise(disappear) into thin air. Shikena! Case closed! No fight, No physical contact just! Poof Batman/Peter is gone forever!

Hulk should be in second place or third. And please remove that confused alien called Superman from the list.

Sorry Bro! T'was a mistake!
TravelRe: Living In Belgium As A Nigerian Student by kevoh(m): 4:06pm On Aug 09, 2014
uzolexis: I study in Belgium but in wallonia not flanders. there is no racism in belgium as far as I know and their educational standard is really high compared 2 many other countries cause i've met a lot of exchange students from different countries that say it's really tough here. The major problem you'll have is language barrier as belgium is not an English speaking country.however, most of their master programmes are in english as they have a lot of international students but for you 2 be able to interact u'll need to know a bit of french if you are in wallonia or dutch if you are in flanders. In flanders most pple speak English so it's not so bad and u can get a student job but knowing the language is an added advantage but in wallonia if u don't speak french it's almost impossible 2 get a job. Cost of living is relatively ok depending on where u stay, brussels is one of the cheapest cities 2 live in even though it's the capital, places like ottignies r more expensive. Belgium is a small country.u can travel from 1 end to another in 5 hrs and transport is a bit cheap compared 2 some other European countries,it's also in the centre of Europe and many international and EU organisations have their HQS there because of this it is quite tedious 2 get the visa,it's a long process so u av 2 start on time.
Goodluck.
Uzoexcel, can you drop some links that I could gather infor from, concerning Msc (Engineering) in Belgium. I'm planning to take a study leave off work and start with the 2015 September session.

I have a good mastery of the French Language, so I'd like to know the possibilities of getting a good job in Belgium after Masters. Thanks in advance!

Foreign AffairsRe: Liberia's Ebola Bodies Abandoned On Streets by kevoh(m): 8:22pm On Aug 05, 2014
It's already sad that Liberia after years of War which caused a lot of deaths and trying to bring itself back up is hit by another death agent to the extent that its streets are littered with corpses.

What is more sad and annoying are the conspiracy theorists on this thread who have done nothing but talk and point accusing fingers. NONE OF THEM HAS PROFERRED ANY SOLUTION. They just talk and spread more ignorance which can lead to further spread of the virus just the way it is happening in Liberia.

Just a query for u.
Have u seen a nuclear bomb b4?
What type of silly question is that? Do I need to see one despite the real life examples of the effect that it has? What are you trying to say or are you doubting Nuclear bombs? It's like me asking if you have seen Ebola Virus before. Does it make sense at all?
Christianity EtcRe: Heaven Or Hell Survey (which Will You Choose) by kevoh(m): 8:56pm On Aug 04, 2014
phoneport: If this was real and you were given this option, tell the forum your choice.
1: You are to live up to 120 years and will be the richest man on earth, and being served by presidents, but after death will be sent to Hell Fire.
2: You are to live till 120 years and be the poorest man on earth, and also to have HIV AIDS, Cancer and Ebola.
sincerely what will your choice be? and give reasons.
Technically with AIDS your immune system is completely broken down and things like ordinary cold can kill someone. Add Ebola to the equation, you'll have less than 12 hours to live not 120 years.

I will take Number 1 any day, any time!
