petmax2020:
English Premier League defending champions Leicester City have made history as they are the first club from England to win their first three matches in the UEFA Champions League following wins over FC Copenhagen, FC Porto and Club Brugge and can now reach the last 16 with a point in their next fixture.

Speaking to Journalists, Coach Claudio Ranieri said: “We are the record team! We are in a good position, our destiny is in our hands and we want to continue in this way.
It’s good to go in the Europa League [Leicester now look assured to finish third at worst in the group], at least.

"Now we have to go into the next round of the Champions League and we will go step by step.”

“For this reason I put him (PFA player of the year Mahrez) on the bench against Chelsea,” said the Foxes boss. “Now it’s right, eh?”

Ranieri also praised Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel for making a brilliant save in the 90th minute to deny former Cardiff striker Andreas Cornelius.

“Thank you to Kasper. Thank you to all my players, because in every high ball Copenhagen is very strong,” he said.

“It was a good performance, totally different from the Premier League, but that is normal when a team like Leicester plays for the first time in its life in the Champions League.

“From one side, I’m very proud. From the other side when I think of the Premier League, I’m very, very angry. But it’s OK because in my career this has happened.

"When for the first time you play in a big competition, you lose something when you go back in your league.”

Op is better off taking this thread to Joke section. Lol.....

He just wants to attract viewers

safarigirl:
he may be better, but he may not be able to get it right his first try. His first try is with us, so he'll just throw in whoever and hope they make it work.

hmm..... Alright then lets hope he follows your thoughts.

^^^^^

hehehehehe

it will not reach FP

Surprising! I thought he was just recently appointed to be the coach of the team or he is doing an Allardyce?? (leaving after one match).

Well.. I don't know whether it is something for us to rejoice but we must do the very best of our own part.

Who knows the new coach coming could be better than this one.

gbens2000:
hehehe (potatoes are harvested) crazy!

I tell you!!! If you see that pitch eh?? Grass scare and where grass dey na brown grass not green.

Some (if not many) NFPL pitches better pass am.

Hmmmm........ The match is being played in Ndola. I hope it is not that pitch that looked like where potatoes are harvested that they used against Kenya in their last qualify??

That pitch eh??

femi4:
Victor Moses is always injured whenever we have away matches. I hope he stayed injured for Chelsea's next match.

see wicked prayer!

Hehehehe

chai! Ogini this one?

Bia.. Does this one look like stadium?

Incredible! Saving nearly half of the penalties he has faced.

25,000 and full stadium? I think it is!

Woooow!!!! So Nigerians fit full stadium for local league match??

Incredible!!!

Congratulations Rangers!!!

Superb performance against El-Kanemi warriors.

minwafor:
Congratulations Rangers. A well deserved Trophy.

Why isn't is on the Front Page?

that's the one million question everyone will be asking....

gbosaa:
They couldn't hold onto their one goal lead.

too bad! I said it some weeks ago that they were doomed for relegation.

Bad management always kill a corporation or firm.

wiseguy:
We keep blaming Buhari but our own league final game is not on the front page of a well-known Nigerian online forum but EPL leagues are conspicuously displayed on the front page. SMH!

Very nice observation! I don't know why they didn't even try to push it to the front page??

Too bad!

ammyluv2002:
The coach must be blind

I think that's not the case. He is left out because may be new interim England manager (Gareth Southgate) is gonna pick him for the senior side. Remember Allardyce who left him out in Sept is no longer there or probably he is being rested.

Hehehehe!!!

What I used to do if I received too many footballing questions is that I will tune the station to supersports Blitz and say : for more answers to ya questions here is the supersports Blitz for you 24/7.

All three are making tremendous impacts!!!

No Victor or Vanquish!!!

hahahahaha

you are so wicked!!!

Why are they bothered? Nobody is asking them to pilot the Super eagles to Zambia na?? We already have qualified pilots na.....lol

Haba FA! why send either of Man United or City early at this stage of the competition??

Manchester United's captain Wayne Rooney has been left out of the team that travelled to Rotterdam for the opening match of the Europa league. Jose Mourinho named a 20 man squad that will take on Feyenoord in thurday's Europa league match. Although no anouncement has been made as to why the captain was left out, but it is believed he is not injured but only rested.

Other players missing out are Valencia, Shaw, Jones, Lingaard and Mkhitaryan.

The teams on the plane are as follows:
De Gea, Romero, Johnstone; Rojo, Blind, Baily, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Smalling; Carrick, Herrera, Pobga, Fellaini, Schneiderlin, Mata, Memphis, Young; Martial, Rashford and Ibrahimovic.

This will be the third time ever both teams are meeting. United won the previous two meetings- home and away in the champions league group stages in 1997/1998 but face a Feyenoord side in excellent form following five wins from five opening league matches.
