You should understand that these "instagram girls" are only doing so because the method always works.

Men would always talk about how they don't want a slay queen for a wife, how she must bring more than sex to the table blah. One fine girl winks at them and next thing they are already rigid.

These seemingly "dumb slay queens" will end up getting married to rich old men that will abandon their family for them, spend their days travelling round the world and when he dies, most, if not all his properties would be given to them.

If all you have to do is look good and have sex to make a living.. Why go the hard way?

It could be that she hasn't found reason to learn yet. She might be someone who has servants at her beck and call, or just doesn't like the whole cooking idea.

Honestly, when I was on my own I ate day and night at a buka. But when she's married and reality sets in, she would have no choice but to learn.

Besides. I don't think something so trivial as food is enough to cause problems between couples.

I think in Nigerian culture, one can carry on living with parents until after graduating from University and getting a job. Considering the amount of time it takes to graduate from Nigerian Government Universities, this may go well into the latter 20s and in some cases, until it's time to marry.

In Europe, most teenagers cannot wait to turn 18 just for the sake of independence. The are not financially dependent on the parents anyway, so what's keeping them at home?
