flexeey:The people of Osun must be enjoying this freedom, especially the civil servants. |
PassingShot:Firstly, you cannot be using Jonathan's administration as a yardstick to measure GMB's performance. We expect a faster and more efficient process of running government, or is that not the CHANGE ?? Secondly, I dont agree with you on the cause of the delay, except you have first hand information personally on the hand over process, every other thing you heard was from the news and media houses which we all know can be very biased. I am not trying to exonerate the past administration. I am simply saying if you cannot substantiate your claims personally, then we cannot assume what we read from the media house is totally true and cannot thereafter infer that the delay was caused by "handover notes". The arguement that "handover notes" caused delay is not rational. Let us assume Jonathan even refused to release his handover notes before he left, are you implying that GMB is not capable of circumventing the process to a steady plane or we wouldn't move on as a country. The task of governance is not an easy one, it comes with its own peculiarities. No excuse is tenable from the number one citizen, especially for sensitive issues like this. GMB has all the resources he needs. It cant be business as usual. |
ramdris: I can relate to your point. He fought for freedom for his party, not for Nigeria. A politician fighting against political annihilation is not a freedom fighter. He is simply pursuing party and personal interest. We cannot conclude that because one remained an oppostion, then he has principles, that will be gross exaggeration. I am not trying to negate what you said, but let us choose our words carefully and not exaggerate |
PassingShot:Mr Passing Shot, i did not say PMB should rush and select ministers. i am simply saying that delay is tantamount to inefficiency in the running of the ministries which has a ripple effect on the economy. All this talk about handover notes and past administrations is not the main concern. We cant be blaming his inability to select ministers on the past government. That will be absurd and irresponsible. BTW, we all know that the likely issue delaying the appointments would be QUOTA SYSTEM. You have tryed to exonerate Buhari and blame the past administration for his inability to select ministers on time. That is a very biased judgement. Let us be objective here. |
MissBiba: My guess is that you didnt have the mental prowess and alacrity to drop something useful. Instead of addressing the topic and contributing meaningfully to the forum. You chose to respond with an inconsequential comment, thereby denying another person who would had a chance to comment significantly in this slot. This is not fair !! |
Yes he needs time to select the right people, we totally understand that. But lest he forget, extra delays will amount to inefficient running of the ministries, as they dont have heads and agenda. The ministries are the driving force of the economy, and PMB should know this. This election has been won since March, surely i expected PMB to have planned out his cabinet right from the day he won. All the same, i wish him the best. |
This is a dangerous situation, the welfare of the civil servants should be of utmost priority. Sure he cant deny he hasn't gotten federal allocation for the past 7 months. How can a mother go to bed when her child hasn't eaten. We don't have leaders in this country, we have politicians chasing personal vendetta. I am disappointed in Aregbe and Osun APC. |
I'll rather we focus our efforts on more pressing issues like nation building, et al. Democracy can not be attributed to Abiola solely, no pun intended. Though the circumstances in which the elections were annulled played a major role in the journey to democracy. The day doesn't really matter, the issue is have we consolidated fully on the gains of democracy fought for by our heroes past ?? Our leaders should stop concentrating on trivial issues and get to work. We cant be contemplating on democracy day when some civil servants have not received salary for the past 7 months. |
. |
ramdris:You really need to define the meaning and perspective of "freedom fighting" and "principle" here. I must be getting something wrong. But when you say a "politician" fought for freedom, then you must mean for his party And then comparing Tinubu with PMB, they sure are not in the same pedestal. In the bid to gratify someones effort, please learn not to exaggerate !! N.B: Before you rush to tackle me, i am not affiliated with any party. Cheers |
The fact that your friend can tell you this kind of thing says a lot about your friend. |
spoilerx:Cant disclose that here |
Hello Guys, this is a lovely thread |
ThatITguru:Oops..is there a thread for that... let me check |
Mannylex:Loool..Related but none of the above debbie:Well..so i heard.. but with proper time management, hardwork and God ... you can do it too |
Dear All, Its been a long ride, i finally passed the dreaded CCIE R&S lab on the first attempt after so many sleepless nights. I am open to negotiations now, anyone available, contact me via PM or quotes. |
NewNigeriaMind: - Firstly HON. OKWU SAMSON is from Benue and not from the South East. From all your comments, it is obvious that you jump at the slightest chance to instigate e-tribalism. - All your opinions above emphasized on SOUTH-WEST not NIGERIA. What happens to the other regions ?? Shouldn't our decisions be based on Competence rather than tribal extremism ?? - The responsiblity of electing the Speaker is the job of the members of the house, not yours. - Please drop the tribal bigotry and focus on playing your own role in changing the nation instead of targetting an innocent region because of your inherent tribal sentiments. Cheers |
justi4jesu:Sorry to ask again, what is the minimum accepted BTA for a 2 weeks visa ![]() |
@justi4jesu @monchouchou I have been hearing of BTA .. If someone is going on a 2 weeks tourist visa, does it also apply ?? I mean for like 5 days. |
monchouchou: |
Good day Everyone, Could someone help with the information below concerning Dubai visa. 1) How does someone below the age restriction apply without having to go along with relatives ? 2) How long does it take for Dubai visa processing for 2 weeks visa ? 3) I have an appointment with a company in dubai, sort of an invitation letter, wont be staying more than a week, only that i am below the age (40). Does this invitation letter help in anyway ? 4) Are there exceptions concerning the age rule for people coming to dubai for engagements like exams, meetings which wouldn't last long ? 5). From my research, i heard you have to go through agents to apply, is this true ? How about going through to the embassy to apply by yourself. 6) Can someone recommend GENUINE agencies in Nigeria used to apply for Dubai visa. 7) What major documents would someone in my condition (only going for a week for an appointment on invitation) need to apply for Dubai visa Please bear with the lengthy questions and kindly advice on the above . |
kart042000:Send many unsolicited applications. If possible, go personally to submit them. Pray to God, and hopefully, you will get a response. |
kart042000:Please dont argue, just take correction, you are not CCIE CERTIFIED. The CCIE Written is not a certificate. I dont want to come out blunt, but you LIED. Dont try to add qualifications you dont have because you need a job. Do you know how many individuals have been dropped along interview stages because of fraudulent claims. Please dont put a dent on your integrity and image because you need a job. It will come in its own time. Employers take things like this very serious. It tells a lot about your integrity. Please dont take this the wrong way, it is for your own good. Cheers |
kart042000:Chief, please you dont have to exaggerate about your qualifications. You are not a CCIE, you have only done part of the exams (CCIE Written), which is miles away from being a CCIE. I am not trying to antagonize, but when speaking about your qualifications, be clear and precise. It reveals a lot. Cheers !!! |
eaglechild:I wanted to ignore, but i couldn't. I felt so bad and concerned after reading that piece. These are some of the ills killing our society. People allow their sentiments and extremism to outweigh them. Just look at the careless comment. |
oluwafemi113:This is wrong, we keep on clamouring for CHANGE and someone will come up here and spread rumor. As far as i am concerned, the greatest CHANGE is on MINDSET and PHILOSOPHY of life which is an individual responsibility. If you cannot substantiate you claim, it is evil to speak fowl about anybody. Any wise person should know that because of the nature of this process, rumors can be orchestrated by evil people to cause mayhem. Look at your piece, you have labelled her as a bad spouse without any proof. Please if you dont respect Jonathan as an individual, at least respect the seat he occupies as the President. It is unpatriotic to abuse the wife of the president. There is room for constructive criticisms, not abuse. Remember that KARMA strucks when you least expect. Nobody knows tomorrow. You might be in the same exact shoes. I sincerely hope you find peace and change this attitude, because this is the real CHANGE. SELAH !!!! |
christopher123:I am not arguing with you, I am clarifying my point. There is a difference. You are derailing from the point. Kindly refer to my initial post to understand the discussion. The subject matter is on the reasons of migration and not on small scale industries growing into large scale industies. I am not here to discuss whether yoruba people should venture out or not. PEACE !!!! |
christopher123:The way your text is formatted makes it difficult to read. Please take time and digest what i wrote in my previous post. Understanding is more important than reading. The arguement is not on white collar jobs, it is on small scale businesses that make people migrate a lot. CHEERS !!! |
christopher123:About being the worst analysis, you are entitled to your own opinion. Kindly refer to the points below: 1. The most stable jobs are not businesses. Infact they are the least stable jobs because the entrepreneurs bear the whole risk of the business. Although, the profit is larger compared to paid employment. Why do you think people go after white collar jobs, it is because of their stability and security. All you need to do is wait for the end of the month to get paid. But markets fluctuate, and these affects the profit of businesses. 2. I never said Easterners dont do white collar jobs, i said as far as small scale businesses are concerned in Nigeria. The Easterners are more inclined to it than the Westerners, which brings about the topic of migration. 3. Transfer only comes in 4-5 years, and in come places, is influenced. Transfer doesnt mean your job is not stable. It is temporal and people most times, move back to their previous locations when they retire. The business men dont, they build homes and business empires when they migrate, They are there to stay. ALUBARIKA !!! |
bidex:They trade too, but they also trade in the West (Lagos), because this is the economic powerhouse and it was the defunct capital of the country, it has the population and the market. Chief, there are white collar jobs in the South South comprising of oil companies, Federal Civil Service, banking industries and co. If you do your census, you will notice that the Westerners are also there. Are you telling me that if you got a job at Shell in Imo State for example, you would not take it because you feel that the Igbos will not accommodate you. Who employed you, is it the company or the people. What you notice in the South East are SMALL SCALE INDIGENOUS INDUSTRIES with less the 10 staffs in a company sometimes. As i said earlier on, when it comes to white collar jobs, the Westeners are largely there, but when it comes to trading/businesses, there are a few. LAGOS IS NOT POPULATED BECAUSE PEOPLE WHAT TO STRUGGLE WITH THE WESTERNERS, LAGOS IS POPULATED BECAUSE IT WAS THE DEFUNCT CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY. THIS POINT CAN NOT BE OVER EMPHASIZED. PEACE !!! |
